Pitch Invasion

You had to be quick to get in the gas club, Ausden Clark got to the ground early and we swamped the place and within minutes they stopped letting city in...

Ahhh I went on Ausden Clark but totally bypassed the Gas Club, I had read about it, but didn't really know where it was and lets be honest it's quite easy to walk past and not notice! lol So we just went Yorkshire Rose as I said but when that go busy I went in search of the Gas Club but was obviously too late.

Even a silly old fart like me got on the pitch. Great fun and completely harmless.

We had a pint in the Sportsman but didn't really like the homebrew so ended up in the Cherry Tree.

The toilet on our coach backed up and they wouldn't let me use it and my breakfast beer was desperate to be pissed out so I virtually ran there to use the bog  lol

Shame only about 3 players and Pearson was actually partying with us lol

Pearson was the main man, his face was hilarious!

We were there too. We were the rowdy bunch of lads outside (its a shame there's no other way to describe us) lol

Haha, I saw you lot, some Huddersfield fans were sitting close to you giving the 'loser' signs, getting well mardy!

First of all congratulations from a Hudds fan. You deserve the title , you've had a great season.

With regards to the pitch invasion, its an end of season thing we do, the kids are always on first , then the older guys 40s (That's me) manage to plod on. There is never any goading of away fans (Maybe some do) . When I got on the pitch with my mate we headed towards your guys to applaud you as you deserve the title. When I got past the half way line I was surprised to see our lot running towards me.

Didn't know what was happening so I continued towards you , I felt you guys deserved a clap and I did so , I exchanged a few handshakes with 2 or 3 of your supporters and thought it was good.

Sadly as I walked back to my seat a few coppers decided to get their truncheons out (oo err missus) which I thought was OTT, I never saw any trouble.

Special mention to the two lads who were looking for a "paki" shop and asked us 10 yards away from one. Sound lads and we had a little chat in the shop, Thought your fans were quality and you made some right noise.

Anyway good luck in the premiership hope you do well and maybe one day we will get to the promised land.

All the best

Dave

It was good of the Huddersfield fans to come over and applaud, when we were running on I didn't even notice that your lot had ran away - that's how much we didn't want aggro ha.

It was brilliant to have a completely unplanned invasion and like someone said, I suppose it did take balls to invade a pitch when the opposition was already on!

Someone did aim a karate kid (TOS) kick at a steward and one chap was quite beastly towards a female steward.

yea i saw that. There was one section towards the front when a female steward thought she could hold all the Leicester fans back but ended up getting shoved a lot and wrestled with. I don't know why she proceeded to try and keep us in the stands when we were clearly going to make it on the pitch. Was quite dangerous too as people were getting squashed at the front

The most dangerous bit of this pitch invasion was when the stewards were trying to force us back towards the stand.

It got very tight and I got a bit panicky so gave the steward who was immediately behind me doing the pushing some verbal and fortunately he stopped

Yeh and 'he's got no hair and we don't care Joseph Joseph bunce'

Ian didnt make it into the ground nor on our minibus back lol

its his own fault for downing half pint of my amaretto neat

lol I'm not surprised he was swaying from side to side. So is he still in huddersfield? lol

my video.

good laugh really.

made a great day!

Just like to say as someone that was on the pitch, I did not here one tannoy announcement asking us to get off, haha. I don't think we were trying to be eejits and spoil anything, genuinely didn't hear a thing!

No the police let him out late last night/this morning. Appearing in court on 5th May lol

So he'll miss the parade, can't he plead guilty by post. At least he knows somewhere decent to stay if he requires an hotel. lol If he can remember any of it.

Yeh he'll miss the parade lol

Its also been brought to my attention that we went down town before HT to have a beer but we were so hammered noone had looked at the time. Had they then we'd have found we were heading down only 20mins into the game lol

I can CONFIRM:

  • 0 Stabbings
  • 0 Assaults
  • Players all in good health
  • No grass blades harmed
  • 2000 Huddersfield fans ran away

:pearson:

Yes, and totally pointless too. Some people need to grow up.

What is your problem??

A number of fans celebrated in front of the Leicester end. A number of young supporters were there with their families. Photos were being taken, songs sung and generally a good time was being had by all.

No one was hurt, there was no trouble.

If you are of the mind that such an act is beneath you, then just stay in the stands, going on the pitch was not compulsory.

After discovering your support today for UKIP on another thread, nothing you say now surprises me.

I like to imagine when EnglishOxide, DT and a few others have a party, they do so on an awkward slope with bits of polymer grouping the attendees into rows. Anything that involves a convenient flat surface is childish.

I've entered the Great Leicester 10k next month and have just heard the event organisers are trying to get the Huddersfield fans to act as pacemakers. ....

Some people need to learn to enjoy life instead of being miserable bastards all the time.

Do you still hate Pearson btw?

Don't think everyone's just going to forget about that.

Not at all. I had a good laugh with my friends, hugged a few players, took pictures, sang a few songs, waved at my Dad in the stands.

To conclude, it was an enjoyable and worthwhile venture. Well done, Harry.

It looked fairly harmless fun, people were having a good time in a non-sanitised way.

Why can't people enjoy themselves, especially when their team has achieved so much? I'd rather that be forced to listen to the crap music megamix we'll have next week.

This, all good natured, no harm done, and only done what all fans all over the country do when promoted and want to celebrate.

Their fans invaded the pitch and had nothing to celebrate, but some of our fans need to lighten up a bit, and remember this is a game about passion and enjoyment, and not everybody is a goody two shoes who wants to sit like a robot and just clap their hands.

The only surprise about dt is he supports ukip, I am surprised he doesn't vote for the do gooding liberals, who with their conservative counterparts, would not be happy until the commoners tow the PC line.

:fishing:  DT reeling everybody in again with his worldview, just ignore and remember yesterday which, after the Brighton blip and the Bolton nerves with its sanitised fun of a press conference in front of the fans through the rows of stewards and police, we finally got the fans promotion party properly started at Huddersfield. Bring on saturday  :scarf:
