thebluefox Posted 27 April 2014 Posted 27 April 2014 Ive got a life thanks it doesn't involve acting like spoilt children and spoil things for everyone else like the player were meant to come out again and thank the fans but they didn't because of the minority of supporters like yourself The players were never coming back out, they said that to try and clear the pitch. Just like the bloke walking down the pitch with the mic saying he'd just been told by Nigel Pearson the players wouldn't now come out for their safety, Pearson at this time was still being interviewed by Ian Stringer.

If there is a pitch invasion, could this a) mean no presentation b) clear the pitch after say 20 minutes then have the presentation c) section off part of the pitch so the platform can be erected. Lastly, will the players do a lap of honour if there are thousands on the pitch? Whilst I think it's great that supporters want to share the moment on the pitch with players, I also understand it could created logistical problems to the planned celebrations.

Whichever you choose (I decided to stay in the stands!) shouldn't effect anybody else except yourself - ie you're not more of a fan if you go on or stay in the stands.

I didn't go onto the pitch but some young hooligans barged past me and I almost lost my flask in the process, just glad I didn't take my blanket along yesterday, but I have no problem with the track suited community for endulging in one of their ambitions in life.

Personally like I've said before don't see the point to a pitch invasion but as long as it's good natured I don't see the harm each to their own

Whilst it would be great to be near the players, perhaps the best view of the preceding's would be from your seat. Like your balanced view too.

It's directed at the people who think others shouldn't go on the pitch simply because they don't want to. Fox92 has summed it up quite well as it happens. The dislike of pitch invaders by some is rather unpleasant IMO.

Lobsterboyuk Posted 27 April 2014 Posted 27 April 2014 I don't see a big problem, if thousands go on most will leave quite quickly, just like the Huddersfield fans did and most of our lot. Then like yesterday the hardcore get slowly pushed off by the stewards/police and within ten minutes it's all over and the presentation etc will start.

Agent Fox Posted 27 April 2014 Posted 27 April 2014 I wish we had all stayed in the stand and waited for the players to come back out so that we could have clapped them for a minute or two and then headed for home. They were never coming out, it was a ploy to get us off the pitch.

Sponsors and TV have paid millions to sponsor the competition, they will not allow the presentation to not go-ahead pitch invasion or not. After yesterday, I'm not too bothered about going on the pitch - yesterday was not planned which made it perfect.

We are all winners in this great season we have had. Memories will live long in all our lives and me for one wanna remember yesterday for what it was.. One of the best away days in my 32 years supporting our great club( was 8 wen the old boy first took me down)
