Not quite what I was thinking Matt. Can just imagine the Mother-in-laws face now...

Oh you are actually like the mother in law?

On a serious note The Greyhound is nice in Botcheston, Royal Oak in Kirby and the Curzon Arms in Woodhouse Eves are probably my three favourites.

The Windmill in Newbold Verdon is very good also.

This place is great, they have also opened The Reservoir Inn in Thornton which is on par.

depends what kind of money your looking to spend. Is it lunch or Dinner?

As someone said before the Grey Lady in Newtown Linford is great. Can be expensive but if its lunch your taking the family too then the lunch menu at the Grey Lady is brilliant.

The Carvery at the Gynsills is decent. Had many there and never had a problem with the food.

Also Slates in Mountsorrell is really good. There Thai Green Curry was awesome

Are there any Michelin star restaurants in Leicestershire?

Closest is Hambleton Hall in Rutland. Sat Bains also has one in but that's in Nottingham.

Hambleton Hall in Oakham is and I think the chef at the Grey Lady in Newton Linford has one as well
