Dr The Singh Posted 23 May 2014 Posted 23 May 2014 Ken has a private box at Wimbledon so no need for Queens for him. As for White Dee, the game us up, still claiming benefits while she was sinking pints in Magaluf, did she think she wouldn't be noticed http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2635961/Why-sad-White-Dee-Benefits-Street-star-looks-glum-Get-Well-Soon-flowers-shes-stripped-welfare-payouts-depression-party-trip-Majorca.html What about your pal Dr Singh, i'm left on my tod again, fecker!!!
Alf Bentley Posted 23 May 2014 Posted 23 May 2014 What about your pal Dr Singh, i'm left on my tod again, fecker!!! Left you to Singh for your supper, has he? That's Matt for you - all gloss! "Oh, I say! What a peach of a backhand, cross-court top-spin volley!", as Dan Maskell would have said....

Itsthejoeker Posted 23 May 2014 Posted 23 May 2014 The fact he thought a man he didn't know or what he job was in was "doing a good job" says it all for me. He is going to stuggle to hold down this cost of living line now as well after saying he feeds his family on £70 a week. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/politics/ed-miliband/10842953/Ed-Milibands-weekly-shopping-bill-Er...-70-More.html Speaking on BBC Radio Oxford, the Labour leader said: “Well, I said this morning it was on the basic groceries, the basic fruit and vegetables, about £70 or £80 - the total shopping bill was slightly higher than that, obviously. Basic fruit and veg for £80?! This guys really has no clue. Modern labour is a joke.
purpleronnie Posted 23 May 2014 Posted 23 May 2014 So I am wrong in saying Labour made bigger gains than UKIP yesterday in the local elections?

Although when someone mentioned that Boris Jonson did not know the price of a pint of milk he was defended by the Tories on here (because he is a Tory no doubt) I would rather Labour had a stronger leader. They make it easy for that smug poseur Cameron.

Rincewind Posted 23 May 2014 Posted 23 May 2014 UKIP, kenneth Shows how weak he is when Labour voters would rather have UKIP who are further right than Conservatives. It is not the done thing to challenge scare stories.

DennisNedry Posted 23 May 2014 Posted 23 May 2014 Rincewind, all politicians are out of touch with common people. Why do people always think it's just the Conservatives who are wadded? Ed Milliband lives in a £2.3 million house for Christ's sake.
ADK Posted 23 May 2014 Posted 23 May 2014 People moan but then vote for the same parties over and again. You get what you vote for.
Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 23 May 2014 Posted 23 May 2014 The thing is if Labour had a strong leader such as Blair, then in next years General Election they would probably win a majority. Worrying for me is being a great believer in a large amount of Labour policies, I have a general distrust of Milliband. Therefore leaving very few options on the left, with the Greens and Lib Dems not exactly great propositions, and any Socialist vote being largely wasted. However it's not really relevant for my constituency, with it being a nailed on Labour seat for decades.
Rincewind Posted 24 May 2014 Posted 24 May 2014 My Mp is Jon Ashworth. He#s OK/ Replied to some emails on some issues and has the same opinions as me. I agree yhat a lot of politicians are out of touch. They are career politicians. Quite a few now have been public school then Oxbridge even Labour and Lib Dems. Nothing wrong in doing that but have any of them had to worry about the monthly bills, the mortgage or whether they will have a job in a months time. They can talk the talk but not walk in the ordinary man's shoes. The man that has a family to support goes down the football matches to support his local team and goes for a pint with his mates. How many of those mates are MP's?
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 24 May 2014 Posted 24 May 2014 Ed Milliband is an even worse moron than Blair, and I never thought I would say that. Anyone who wants to destroy our economy, and wreck our country, should vote for the Clown Party. (They call themselves the Labour party). What a sick bunch of know nothings they are!

Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 24 May 2014 Posted 24 May 2014 Didn't say good, said strong. Knew how to grab the public vote, good in the media, had a bruiser in Prescott by his side who stood no shit.
Guest MattP Posted 25 May 2014 Posted 25 May 2014 http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-27543012 You still aren't getting it are you? You might learn one day.
Rincewind Posted 25 May 2014 Posted 25 May 2014 You still aren't getting it are you? You might learn one day. It helps being around a long time before you get it. People vote UKIP because there is little choice between the other parties and po;iticians are not trusted. Does not make them right though.

The man that has a family to support goes down the football matches to support his local team and goes for a pint with his mates. How many of those mates are MP's? An MP asked me to go for a pint with him about 15 years ago and I snubbed him (rather stupidly)! About 15 years ago, when we were still living in Cov, I made an appointment at the MP's surgery of Geoffrey Robinson, a Cov MP, key ally of Gordon Brown and junior minister in Blair's government. I went along to bend his ear about proportional representation, as in 1997 Labour had a commitment to a referendum on electoral reform, but reneged on it once they got a landslide win. I had a good old political argument with him about this in his surgery, but he had other people to see, so he invited me for a pint afterwards to continue the discussion, but I turned him down, saying that I had other commitments (a lie). He looked genuinely disappointed as I think he was enjoying the argument. I regret it now. Would have been an opportunity to find out a few things (Robinson was already being pretty indiscreet at the surgery, making plain his contempt for Blair). Maybe he'd have lined me up with a seat in parliament, maybe standing against UKIP candidate MattP....now that would be an entertaining campaign, with more skeletons appearing from closets than at Fred & Rose West's house!
Rincewind Posted 25 May 2014 Posted 25 May 2014 A few years back one of the Janners used to be well known in our area at the time safe seat (Stocking Farm) Graville I think it was. Anyway when my mum remarried in the 70's it may have been polling time as he visited the local WMC and said we could use parking space near the town hall reserved for Councillors. Whether it was because it was it was election time or because he was genuine depends on your POV but as far as I recall Janner Snr was a MP of the community and was the old type that actually listened to the concerns of the constituents. Not many of the type around. UKIP are coming across that way. They prey on ignorance though. Certainly some of the issues do concern a lot of people but they are a taboo subject or debate and there are so many different facts and figures being put out and they can be made to look as good or bad as they want by moving goalposts. After being around a few years it is noticed more by the seasoned voter.
Mark_w Posted 17 October 2014 Posted 17 October 2014 Lib Dems - 85% Green - 84% Labour - 80% Plaid Cymru - 75% Scottish Nationals - 73% Conservatives - 21% British Nationals - 17% UKIP - 4% I'm slightly more right wing than I was last time I took this test. Decided to do this again with the political debates going on on here at the moment, and I figured it's be interesting to see if anyone elses views have changed a bit. Green - 80% Labour - 77% Lib Dems - 74% Plaid Cymru - 74% Scottish Nationals - 72% BNP - 18% Conservatives - 10% UKIP - 2% Everyone other than the BNP has lost some of my support.
Guest MattP Posted 17 October 2014 Posted 17 October 2014 Has this been updated to include new policy though? Otherwise it's a pretty pointless exercise. Even if UKIP do pray on ignorance, at least they didn't prey on young boys like the member of parliament you are talking so fondly of there.
