When you put it back in, did you put it in as slave or is it master?

It's always been in as slave, not changed that.

Think I've cracked it though. I'd been running it off a legacy power adapter, plugged it in with a sata one, and no problems since.

Dodgy adapter maybe?

Can't run FM09 or FM10 :(.

Each time I try and open it up, it says 'Failed to load; cannot run graphics system'

Tried installing updated versions of DirectX and even that has problems.

I can provide screenshots if need be, but has anyone ever had this kind of problem before? Or know any solutions?

Windows XP Professional K Service Pack 3

AMD processor.

1.30 GHz. 896MB of RAM.

Sounds like ya need an upgrade mate. You can easily get a far better pc for like 300-400 quid.

Yeah might be getting a laptop soon anyway.

Computer is old anyway haha.

Although, this is quite weird, I just tried FM10 now and it works :o. I don't understand but I'm not complaining lol

Anyone why this happens, in a video?

Would turning deinterlacing on help? Whatever that is.

Have you installed the latest codecs recently? If not, try that.

I was using VLC..didn't think it needed codecs updating etc. Think it may have been a corrupted file or something, downloaded a different one and it was fine

I've got a lexmark inkjet printer but the colour prints always come out orangey and not the right colour at all. Theres plenty of ink in the cartridge so I'm guessing that there's some sort of blockage somewhere. Does anyone know how to find/clean whatever is blocked?

Try the head cleaning utility (when you installed printer it will be an option on the software somewhere)

I've been looking for this and it seems impossible to find a solution. Maybe a DOSbox could help :dunno:

This might help, doubt it though! help

I did read somewhere last night where someone said if you want to play old games on windows 7 you need to install DOSbox. DOS something anyway!

I've just bought some Logitech speakers for me pc from Tesco. When I got home and tried to use them I noticed the power supply adaptor thing only has 2 pins like this

s2wh9y.jpg

The adaptor is one of these made by Logitech

Can I plug this into my wall socket even without the top pin or did they pack the wrong adaptor in the box when they made it?

Don't want to plug it in if it's gonna blow up in my hand!

I've been wondering how to connect my PC to my TV, but everything I read/watch is gobbledygook. I have no idea what i'm even supposed to be looking for. Can anyone help (and put it in simple terms)? :P

put the cable that goes from your pc to your monitor into your tv, but it needs to go into the same blue socket! if that makes sense

I think you're on a wind up :dunno: but I'll state the obvious; it's an American power lead and you need a British one.
