Take ownership in safe mode as the administrator? :dunno:

I've never used 7 so I am just guessing !

You could perhaps search Google.

Could be that you have activated Sticky keys. Try pressing the shift key quickly 5 times to see if you can disable it.

Whats does non-ecc mean?

I am looking to buy 1gb of RAM to upgrade my PC: DDR400, PC3200u, CL3 but what does the non-ecc bit mean? Something to do with running a server?

http://www.ebuyer.com/product/65719

Cheers,

Non buffered, dont need to worry about that.

Are you looking to use that RAM in single channel? (on its own) because I would reccomend RAM being used in dual channel mode, (2x512mb rather than 1x1gb).

That RAM is pretty slow RAM aswell, and its DDR, make sure that your motherboard can take DDR ram because the DIMM slot is different to DDR2.

That's pretty expensive at that price as well, whats your motherboard....

What ways of restoring PC's back to factory settings are there without using the restore discs?

Any help will be appreciated.

Do you want your computer to how you first had it? Like with none of your files on?

Yep, as if it was fresh out the box.

lots of pcs have partitions. Check your program list for anything like system restore. Or you could download your version of windows, note down your code then reinstall.

Ohh well I was going to take the current RAM in my motherboard (512mb) out and replace it with that product (1gb).

DDR is the one I need, 184-pin, as the system/motherboard is 5 years old as of 2010.

I have had my current RAM out and it states: 'DDR 400mhz PC3200u'

Of hand, can't remember my motherboard, but the system is Compaq Presario SR1600 series'.

I know, the system is quite old and the hardware is expensive, but I can't really afford a new PC and want to upgrade my current one instead.

'u' = does that mean unbuffered?

Yes

Windows Vista

Only way to do it is by the DVD I'm afraid...

Outlook Windows xp Home edition problem

Corrupt files?

I get this message:

Errors have been detected in the file C:\Documents and settings \owner\ local settings\application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst. Quit Outlook and all mail-enabled applications, and then use the Inbox repair tool (scanpst.exe) to diagnose and repair errors in the file.

My dad decided he was a computer engineer and deleted files over the xmas period and now I am left without my outlook! I have tried n tried 2 fix this problem over the net. I have downloaded the scanpst, but then it asked me to get x3 dll files which I have since put into C:Program files\common files\system\MAPI\1033 when they should be.

When I now try to run the Scanpst.exe it won't run???

What am I to do? Help much appreciated as always

Try re-installing Outlook? You might want to back up the emails etc. that were there beforehand though.

Is there any way to get youtube working on chrome? Nothing seems to do the trick.

Mine works fine.

What's the problem?? Does it not load at all?

Or do you not get a video box come up?

I've had this problem with my internet for a month now.

When I click anything the blue bar starts at the bottom right but never completes. It always takes at least 3 clicks to get any page to load.

I've tried Malwarebytes and other spyware with no results.

My anti-virus scan never finds anything anymore (it used to always find a bit of stuff to delete).

I'm starting to get fed up of having to wait so long to do something on internets. This never used to happen.

Anyone got any ideas?
