Jimothy Posted 14 June 2014 Posted 14 June 2014 Half hour to kick off of group c Teams Colombia Ospina Zuniga Zapata Yepes Amero Sanchez Aguilar Rodriguez Cuadrado Ibarbo Gutierrez Greece Karnezis Manolas Torosidis Papastathopoulos Holebas Maniatis Katsouranis Kone Salpingidis Samaras Gekas No Mitroglou for Greece. Martinez, a lot of people's tip for top Colombian scorer is in the bench.
kingfox Posted 14 June 2014 Posted 14 June 2014 Looking forward to this one, not the most eye catching game for neutrals, but I think this will be entertaining. Despite not having Falcao, Colombia still look very strong, and looking at the players left on the bench for them today, they can bring on very talented players, who may well change the game. Their pace & creativity through Rodriguez looks very exciting. While for Greece, I can see them surprising a few again, at a major tournament. Their front three is very experienced, and are capable of causing problems, but their defence especially was very good in qualifying. Kostas Manolas is a massive talent, but will definitely have a job on his hands today. Edging towards 2-1 Colombia.
lcfcsnow Posted 14 June 2014 Posted 14 June 2014 Hmm, they must be good if Bacca and Martinez can't get in the starting 11 even when Falcao is out.
StanSP Posted 14 June 2014 Posted 14 June 2014 Goal! 1-0 Colombia! Trickles in, comical Greek defending
wakeyfox01 Posted 14 June 2014 Posted 14 June 2014 Massive talent Manolas is... Has looked impressive since the goal though to be fair.
MC Prussian Posted 14 June 2014 Posted 14 June 2014 I love the celebrations and atmosphere in the Colombian end. Quality.
isaidno Posted 14 June 2014 Posted 14 June 2014 Keeper made a prat of himself by diving after the ball had crossed the line
VLC86 Posted 14 June 2014 Posted 14 June 2014 His name is ****ing James not Hames. I hope Columbia get knocked out just so I don't have to listen to this all bloody tournament
wakeyfox01 Posted 14 June 2014 Posted 14 June 2014 The refs letting a lot of things go which is a refreshing change.
martyn Posted 14 June 2014 Posted 14 June 2014 His name is ****ing James not Hames. I hope Columbia get knocked out just so I don't have to listen to this all bloody tournament No, it really is Ha-mes. And Colombia.
kingfox Posted 14 June 2014 Posted 14 June 2014 Both teams need to be better in the final third, Ibarbo & Cuadrado look dangerous though. Massive talent Manolas is...Has looked impressive since the goal though to be fair.
The Doctor Posted 14 June 2014 Posted 14 June 2014 Says everything about Greece that samaras is their most threatening player...
StanSP Posted 14 June 2014 Posted 14 June 2014 That miss from the Greek guy lol. Open goal and heads it against the bar.
VLC86 Posted 14 June 2014 Posted 14 June 2014 No, it really is Ha-mes. And Colombia. James, il give you Colombia though
MC Prussian Posted 14 June 2014 Posted 14 June 2014 Greece just don't look like they're really bothered. Hardly any drive forward and their build-up play is also quite slow. The main tactics seem to be to hand the ball to Samaras and watch him do something with it.
kingfox Posted 14 June 2014 Posted 14 June 2014 3-0 convincing stuff, scary thing though is, I thought they were very frustrating in the final third at times, and could of done a lot better, yet they still come out of the game with a 3-0 victory. They looked strong all over the pitch though, their spine looked strong, all the way through from Yepes to Sanchez to Rodriguez to Gutierrez, really like Colombia.
