Guest Bilo Posted 23 June 2014 Posted 23 June 2014 If only we could be this good away from home now. Here's hoping for next season, ladies and gents!
MattGamble92 Posted 23 June 2014 Posted 23 June 2014 If only we could watch that without feeling we're on coke in an 80s disco it would be great
Oxfordfox83 Posted 23 June 2014 Posted 23 June 2014 If only we could be this good away from home now. Here's hoping for next season, ladies and gents! Year of my first match that-great times. Can't believe how much it's changed, not just the terraces, but the prices and the atmosphere. £5 on the gate and you didn't have to listen to some nobend tell you to sit down every few minutes.
purpleronnie Posted 23 June 2014 Posted 23 June 2014 It never really stood out at the time because it was kind of the norm, I stopped going regually around 94 even back then you could see things changing, and I didn't like it, the weird thing is that nowadays most people would love the atmsophere to be like it was back when I stopped going. Who knew it would change so much.
Gary Eatfood Posted 23 June 2014 Posted 23 June 2014 I can remember going to Oxford as a nipper that season and the steward telling my Dad to lift me over the turnstile and not bother paying. So many wonderful aways that year...getting crushed at Blackburn...ahh memories.
This Charming Man Posted 23 June 2014 Posted 23 June 2014 Thanks for posting this, so many great memories of a time when I lived and breathed football, correction, lived and breathed Leicester....some of the younger ones on here maybe won't know that that fantastic night at Notts County was when they were actually a first division club! Avoiding fights at Bristol City and avoiding arrest at Tranmere, great memories and although not a 'fashionable' thing to say, I still prefer those times to what football has become.
PAULCFC Posted 23 June 2014 Posted 23 June 2014 Thank's for posting that! Was at the Oxford,Blackburn and Notts County(Football Special train and got absolutely soaked) games.
lestajigs Posted 23 June 2014 Posted 23 June 2014 That's how football should be not ya 70 year olds on the front row at forest away lol
pazzerfox Posted 23 June 2014 Posted 23 June 2014 The music sounds like it's from a 1980's porn film!
Stadt Posted 23 June 2014 Posted 23 June 2014 Our fan base away from home consists of too many pensioners which is why we won't be able to get ends like that for the foreseeable future, it'll probably be worse next season.
Leicester Lass Posted 23 June 2014 Posted 23 June 2014 That's how football should be not ya 70 year olds on the front row at forest away lol Would you rather have them near the back and asking you to sit down?
Guest Posted 23 June 2014 Posted 23 June 2014 That's how football should be not ya 70 year olds on the front row at forest away lol Let us know how the correct age for people to be to support City and we'll make sure to start and stop at the appropriate ages.Cheers boss
ealingfox Posted 23 June 2014 Posted 23 June 2014 Let us know how the correct age for people to be to support City and we'll make sure to start and stop at the appropriate ages. Cheers boss He's not saying anyone can't support City, just that they can't go to games.
seenitall Posted 23 June 2014 Posted 23 June 2014 I knew the bloke who threw the bog roll at 40 seconds - I was there - beat that
Mack Posted 24 June 2014 Posted 24 June 2014 Different era, long gone I'm afraid. Blame Sky, The Premier League, progress, equality, diversity, Hillsborough Report etc etc
lestajigs Posted 24 June 2014 Posted 24 June 2014 Let us know how the correct age for people to be to support City and we'll make sure to start and stop at the appropriate ages. Cheers boss 30-40 and NO GIRLS to, so it's bad news for 99.9%. Of people on here boss
Mapperleyfox Posted 24 June 2014 Posted 24 June 2014 Cracking video. That ZDS game was the wettest i've ever been at a football match i think. About 8,000 city fans in a crowd of 11,000 or so. Great night.
Guest Posted 24 June 2014 Posted 24 June 2014 30-40 and NO GIRLS to, so it's bad news for 99.9%. Of people on here boss Phew! I've made the cut!

Soup Posted 24 June 2014 Posted 24 June 2014 Yes home games are fine, as long as you don't stand, sing, or even talk!! It's the West stand or Welford Rd then, fair enough.
crisp monster Posted 25 June 2014 Posted 25 June 2014 Was there at nearly all of those I remember the Southend game, id got in after a night out in Bedford at 6 am and my mate came round at about 10 and said do you fancy going to Southend. I was still blotto but he drove down on a glorious day and after previous away day blues, we started to travel well. Great stuff but in those days you could just go at the spur of the moment rather than book away games about 2 months in advance :-(

We had to take cover in a restaurant because Southend, West Ham and Leicester were having running battles along the promenade. It was a mad final 10 minutes at Roots Hall that day!
Dan Posted 25 June 2014 Posted 25 June 2014 Unreal. There's absolutely no reason we can't have one of the best away supports in the country next season from a vocal point of view.
