David McAuliffe Posted 21 August 2014 Posted 21 August 2014 A friend of mine here in nth wales ordered the red shirt, short sleeved, in medium, and it will have the BarclaysPremierLeague badges on it. He should receive it tomorrow, and due to an unforeseen personal problem that has arisen, he is reluctantly, more than likely, going to list it on eBay sometime Friday. Don't know if it will be auction or buy it now format.Ive ordered both the gold and the red. Due to my friend having to let his go,im going to give him one of my shirts. My mate doesn't want to deliberately try and rip anyone off and try to just make a quick buck, but he doesn't want to lose out financially either...what do people on here think would be a good asking price or starting price, depending on what format he decides to list his shirt on eBay ?

The price he bought it for plus postage costs if he wants to get rid of it without just making a quick buck. That would be a good place to start.

Or stick it on ebay for the same price.

David McAuliffe Posted 21 August 2014 Posted 21 August 2014 Is your "friend" really you???No,not me. Ive two home shirts, long and short sleeved, plus, both away shirts. Mine will be worn, by me!
crisp monster Posted 21 August 2014 Posted 21 August 2014 A good mate of mine is an arsenal fan and went to highfield rd ( Coventry for the young ones) in the early 80's and when Charlie Nicholas etc came out in a green shirt, navy shorts combo - the away lot all sang ' who the ****in hell are you '? As they ran out - This went down very well with the players and they all loved the humour. Saturday maybe or a tumbleweed moment??
sly1 Posted 21 August 2014 Posted 21 August 2014 Dearer me that's bad things people do for extra cash
veezeeblue Posted 22 August 2014 Posted 22 August 2014 weird for me .... never seen us play in red before ... just weird surely there were other options hope we use the goldish kit
Fox in the North Posted 22 August 2014 Posted 22 August 2014 So just to confirm, the red is pretty much sold out but will be restocked later in the season?
Samilktray Posted 22 August 2014 Posted 22 August 2014 So just to confirm, the red is pretty much sold out but will be restocked later in the season?Well if everything said is true then no, 1000 shirts and that's it. Bit silly of them if that holds true though.
Samilktray Posted 22 August 2014 Posted 22 August 2014 My red shirt came. They sent a short sleeve even though I ordered long sleeve. Long sleeve in my size has sold out. Bloody Nora
thybluefox Posted 22 August 2014 Posted 22 August 2014 Really don't get the idea behind only doing a run of 1000. They've not charged extra for them, there's clearly more than a thousand people that want one, surely they've just done themselves out of revenue!?
jammie82uk Posted 22 August 2014 Posted 22 August 2014 Just been in jc sports in the city centre they have 4 large and 4 medium in the red kit

They've not charged extra for them, there's clearly more than a thousand people that want one, surely they've just done themselves out of revenue!? It's odd. Either they don't want too many red shirts populating the stadium at home matches (in which case don't release a red kit), their not planning on wearing it much so don't want people upset or they want to encourage people to buy the gold kit, because, you know, they bloody love the gold!
Beliall Posted 22 August 2014 Posted 22 August 2014 That doesnt make sense to me, they are always going to sell more blue kits.
syston_fox Posted 22 August 2014 Posted 22 August 2014 Just been in jc sports in the city centre they have 4 large and 4 medium in the red kit I went in at 1:45pm and no large and 2 mediums. Snapped up one of the mediums - bit snugger than I would like but still fits ok.
blue_alfie Posted 22 August 2014 Posted 22 August 2014 I went in at 1:45pm and no large and 2 mediums. Snapped up one of the mediums - bit snugger than I would like but still fits ok. I thought it felt a little tighter too. This shirt takes a bit of getting used to but I really like it. I do hope that those that really wanted one got one. I can see after the Chelsea game (first outing) those listed on eBay will probably sell.
itsblueupnorth Posted 22 August 2014 Posted 22 August 2014 You couldn't make it up could you - just rang the club shop to get my son one and the lady said " we've only got 4XL and 5XL left" so I asked her when they would be getting anymore in - "we're not unless we can get some from the supplier"!!!!!!!!! - I must admit I didn't realise it was a limited addition - why? - shouldn't grumble - I've saved myself £45 but I wouldn't buy shares in a firm with their policy

Would rather have had it in large but medium will have to do as looks like no chance of getting a large now
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 22 August 2014 Posted 22 August 2014 You're a bad, bad nonce if you buy a shirt to immediately list it on eBay.
peach0000 Posted 22 August 2014 Posted 22 August 2014 I went to the fanstore just before it closed and they had several large and small long sleeved shirts
