Balotelli On His Way Back To UK?

Recommended Posts

He's no more trouble than Suarez really - yeah, he gets up to some ridiculous antics and he's quite an... eccentric character, but he's never going to go out and bite someone and then get banned for 10 games.

If Rodgers can manage him well and get him producing his best football, like he has with so many others in that Liverpool squad, then they will have a great player on their hands.

There's no doubting he's a top player if someone can manage him, but he's too much trouble if you ask me. I'd rather be looking elsewhere. It's alright defending Suarez for the last few years, but it'll just happen again with Balotelli.

Balotelli isn't a racist nor a potential cannibal, he's just a bit of an oddball with a temper. Wouldn't surprise me if Rodgers calmed him down a bit and got the best out of him.

Let's not compare the abilities of Suarez and Balotelli either. Both are obviously talented footballers but Suarez is in a completely different league.

Does look a decent option for Liverpool mind and would be fairly cheap.

I agree, he's a good player on his day but it's all the stuff that surrounds, and comes with him.

He needs keeping tame but with that edgy temperament he has and not to go overboard with it. Good managerial skills can to do that, Will be interesting to see how Brendan Rogers copes with him.

Am surprised he's heading back this way (Potentially) as didn't he display a huge hatred of the UK media/newspapers?

Definitely got bags of talent but he's very much a player that seems have a switch on inside him and he decides to turn it on only at random times.

Not sure Rodgers has the capacity to alter his personality or temper him, but I did enjoy Balotelli at Man City. Such a unique character.

One of my favourite strikers. On his day he is totally unplayable, but unfortunately it does depend on which Mario will turn up.

He will be a great addition to the Premiership again.

Anyone remember the fireworks in the bathroom incident?

Over-rated. He's nowhere near as much of a **** as Suarez, but he's also nowhere near as good.

If Borini's move to Sunderland goes through at £14m, then signing Balotelli for £16m has to be the best deal since Man U snatched Cantona from Leeds

I simply don't rate Balotelli. He's the type who can play a Worldy, then drop off form for the next three matches. Too temperamental, too hot and cold, not worth such an expensive gamble IMO. I'd rather have Vardy, genuinely. And yes, before any smart-ass comments, I'm being genuine.

lol

At least Vardy's consistent.

Balotelli isn't terrible but he's so over-rated it hurts. I think only Hulk is more over-rated.

He's no Cattermole that's for sure!

You'd also rather have Cattermole than Cambiasso so your opinion is redundant.

I come back from a two week holiday, pop on here and see someone say they would have Vardy over Balotelli.

Good to be back. lol

Col also said that he would rather have Cattermole over Cambiasso so we shouldn't be too surprised.

To quote Sky sports Italia: " Balo al Liverpool: tifosi red felici, quelli del Mulin pure".

Essentially, "liverpool fans happy, as well as Milan fans." He was utter tripe last year for Milan and Galliani and Berusconi have been looking to flog him all summer. I give it six months of good Mario before feckless Mario starts phoning it in.

Also, Vieri has been somewhat scathing. “Today Galliani has played the biggest masterstroke in the history of Milan,” I'm going to assume he's not a fan.

lol..sod off..

Yep.. I stick with the Cattermole comment. I expect him to be pretty much an ever-present in a decent Sunderland side that I'm expecting to be safe. He's no world-beater for sure, but exactly the type of player I think City need. And what? 7 yrs younger than Cambiasso.

I never said Cattermole could be nearly the class of player Cambiasso was. But 'was' I think is the operative phrase.

I maintain, I would have been quite happy to have seen us linked with Cattermole. However, it won't happen I suspect. He's wanted by Sunderland, at least at present. As for Cambiasso? Who knows.. What seems to have happened is that, amidst all the excitement over Cambiasso, very few alternatives have been discussed. Yet most people, it would seem, now want a DM at the club. Well who?

As for Balotelli.. no, I wouldn't touch him.

And yes, I'd rather have Vardy..again, Im surprised that people are dismissing this so quickly. No brainer for me.

If he wasn't such an arrogant sod no one would be interested.

Very average for the Premier League.

This is utterly ridiculous.

The Balotelli thing makes me wonder about players that seem to move around clubs an awful lot. If Milan saw Balotelli as their star striker, why would they let him go for such a relatively cheap sum? Is it because they are financially knackered? Someone more in the know than I am can answer that.

Milan have always been keen to retain their top Italian pros.. Maldini, Inzhagi, Gattuso, et al.. why would they want to release Balotelli after what? One season? (Or two). Why did Man City offload him?

It strikes me like most players that move around lots of clubs in a short space of time, Balotelli is no different. He don't seem fancied by successive managers. Or is there more to it?
