Bert Posted 2 September 2014 Posted 2 September 2014 So, the new season gets underway Thursday night/Friday morning with the packers going to the seahawks. Been waiting for this for ages to start up again. Who does everyone fancy this year?
David Guiza Posted 2 September 2014 Posted 2 September 2014 More of an Ice Hockey fan when it comes to US Sport. Followed the Patriots on off last year, purely based on the fact that I support Boston Bruins. Think the Pats have got a chance though.
zak_lcfc Posted 2 September 2014 Posted 2 September 2014 Seattle the obvious choice, still look very strong with developing players! If Manning can get the Broncos playing like last year then they have a shot as well but I'm going with the 49ers this year think if they gain momentum they will be very hard to stop, a well balanced team!
Lamby Posted 2 September 2014 Posted 2 September 2014 The Cards need to step it up just a tiny bit more this season, the new additions should help this. Need to get into the playoffs this season after being soo close last one Got my International Series Season Ticket the other day in the post so I'm happy
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 2 September 2014 Posted 2 September 2014 I'm an Eagles fan - BORN TO RUNNER UP
Finnegan Posted 2 September 2014 Posted 2 September 2014 More of an Ice Hockey fan when it comes to US Sport. Followed the Patriots on off last year, purely based on the fact that I support Boston Bruins. Think the Pats have got a chance though. Bruins. \m/
syston_fox Posted 2 September 2014 Posted 2 September 2014 Ah the fun times of stupid sleeping hours are back... Thursday night will be a case of trying to get a few hours sleep after work, up for the game to see my Packers team let me down and then a few more hours sleep before work. Cannot wait!
Fox in the North Posted 2 September 2014 Posted 2 September 2014 Being a Jets fan is kind of like supporting Leicester in the Championship, you get offered some hope and then it just all goes horribly tits up.
Nalis Posted 2 September 2014 Posted 2 September 2014 Vikings fans. There's more chance of us winning the Premier League than the Vikings winning the Superbowl.
Lamby Posted 2 September 2014 Posted 2 September 2014 Vikings fans. There's more chance of us winning the Premier League than the Vikings winning the Superbowl. Depends on how well Cassell and AP do.
Nalis Posted 2 September 2014 Posted 2 September 2014 Depends on how well Cassell and AP do. Not confident in Cassell at all.
Finnegan Posted 2 September 2014 Posted 2 September 2014 Are my boys* still Redskins or have we succumb to media pressure yet? (iirc?)
pooleyLCFC Posted 2 September 2014 Posted 2 September 2014 Broncos fan, hope we've recovered from that Super Bowl defeat!
Narborough_fox Posted 2 September 2014 Posted 2 September 2014 Bucs fan here, hoping we can make it to the play-offs. Not a good set of friendly results but it can't be any worse than last season...
Guest seanfox778 Posted 3 September 2014 Posted 3 September 2014 Giants fan, we normally have a decent season followed by a shite one. Last season was bad so by that logic we should do well this season.
C-man Posted 3 September 2014 Posted 3 September 2014 Vikings fans. There's more chance of us winning the Premier League than the Vikings winning the Superbowl. Good pre-season though
Chug Laguna Posted 3 September 2014 Posted 3 September 2014 Being a Jets fan is kind of like supporting Leicester in the Championship, you get offered some hope and then it just all goes horribly tits up. Quite unsure where the offered hope exists with regards to the Jets
Fox in the North Posted 3 September 2014 Posted 3 September 2014 Quite unsure where the offered hope exists with regards to the Jets The management seem to have had some intelligence this season, and have actually signed players for positions that desperately needed improvement. They even had a decent draft. That said, I won't be surprised if Rex Ryan manages to ruin it all again. We were 8-8 with Geno Smith last season which was a miracle in itself and even a slight improvement on that could get us play-off football.

Fair play to you but you've got one hell of a rough schedule and I don't see you being better than 1-6 in the first 7... should improve from there but I think playoffs is a bit of a stretch...
Bert Posted 4 September 2014 Author Posted 4 September 2014 Depends on how well Cassell and AP do.The award for stating the obvious goes to Lamby.
syston_fox Posted 5 September 2014 Posted 5 September 2014 Well that wasn't worth staying up for. We couldn't do anything against that Seahawks defence. Keep that up and they've going all the way again. Geeez I feel like crap this morning after only getting an hours sleep after the game!

Keep that up and they've going all the way again. Geeez I feel like crap this morning after only getting an hours sleep after the game! They look very good after one game, looks as though they have improved offensively as well which makes them a scary team if they can get number 1 defensively again!
Itsthejoeker Posted 5 September 2014 Posted 5 September 2014 Titans fan, we have no chance once again. If Locker finishes a season we'll make the playoffs but the SuperBowl ain't gonna happen!
syston_fox Posted 5 September 2014 Posted 5 September 2014 They look very good after one game, looks as though they have improved offensively as well which makes them a scary team if they can get number 1 defensively again! Obviously we suffered when two of our O-Line went off injured at the same time and we missed B J Raji just because he takes up half of the line himself but we just couldn't cope with them. Lacy had a decent game but Rodgers couldn't get anything going into the 4th quarter when the defence tired but by then it was too little too late. That spell at the start of the third was our undoing. Packers 1st down - interception. Seahawks score. Packers 1st down - Rodgers sacked and fumbled. Seahawks safety. Uncharacteristic "mistakes" by Rodgers but I would put it more to great defence than him having a bad game.
