Collymore Posted 4 September 2014 Posted 4 September 2014 I'm hoping this is fake It's definitely not fake mate.
Collymore Posted 4 September 2014 Posted 4 September 2014 I think we should all watch this before bed. Lighten the mood.
lestajigs Posted 4 September 2014 Posted 4 September 2014 I'm hoping this is fake[/quote quote] It's definitely not fake mate. Just find it hard how police officers are doing nothing really bad that, they should be at least comforting. The poor girl, even that lad who is very much alive there just ignoring him like WTF?? And what the hell is that in the road at the start? Is it a dog
AKCJ Posted 4 September 2014 Posted 4 September 2014 so why aren't you allowed to be on the phone whilst driving? you're allowed to have a conversation with your passenger and smoke a cigarette at the same time. so you're one hand down and probably thinking more about your chat than you are the road. so why can't I ring someone, use one hand and have a chat? what's the difference? Woah, woah, woah... You're defending texting while driving? Sorry mate, but anyone who uses their phone behind the wheel is an absolute bellend. I can't believe that a text can be worth risking the lives of you, your passengers and passers by. I assume you'd use your right hand to hold the phone with, considering you'd need your left to change gears which limits peripheral vision to the drivers' window. If you need to text the word "lol" to someone THAT badly then I suggest you stop, do it and then set off again. The comparison you've made is utterly ridiculous too.
AKCJ Posted 4 September 2014 Posted 4 September 2014 Whether it was breathing or twitching, yes. It's either her last breaths or some sort of muscle spasm. Horrible to watch. Thought i'd read the replies before watching the video and you've successfully put me off. **** THAT.

Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 4 September 2014 Posted 4 September 2014 Like a twat I watched it again!!! I rekon somewhere down the line a animals been struck I'm not watching it again - perhaps the animal caused the crash in the first place? Or was it definitely put down to phone use? The amount of near misses I've had from pheasants/rabbits running in front of me is unreal. Ran over a full sized suicidal badger at 50mph once... While I was riding a motorbike

The comparison you've made is utterly ridiculous too. i wasn't defending it, just playing devil's advocate asking for an opinion. not sure what's so ridiculous about the little scenario i played out. one involved a driver using just one hand and having a conversation, the other involved a driver using just one hand and having a conversation. one is absolutely fine morally and in the eyes of the law, one is seemingly on a par with murder according to people in here, as well as being illegal. i don't think anyone should drive and use a phone (although sending "yes" or something whilst sat at the lights isn't crime of the century), but i don't see that there is a major moral difference or actual difference between things like sending a text (which i can do without looking, but never have because i'm a bit fu cking scared of crashing!), eating an apple or smoking a cigarette. like i say when i drive i just drive, change the radio if it's on a shit song or an advert and i know what's going on around me, that's about as distracting as i get.
Collymore Posted 4 September 2014 Posted 4 September 2014 Like a twat I watched it again!!! I rekon somewhere down the line a animals been struckI seem to remember someone still in the car? They can't have all been wearing seat belts for a start and you'd like to think that modern cars would offer more protection. To be quite frank the original video was a bit ridiculous. If you watch it again non of it really is believable. 1. The mondeo is stationary when they hit it at about 60mph (guess) They would have probably all walked away from that in real life, even in a tin cup Ka. 2. Some maniac then decides to drive into the side if them at about 80mph, I can only hazard a guess they might have been smoking a fag and the ash dropped on their leg? Very unlucky for the girls. 3. The cars then appear all relatively undamaged from the cut away shot of the carnage. 4. No passenger airbag so it must have been a very old car or it failed or was turned off. 5. I'm not advocating texting at the wheel but surely if someone was to they would type a letter lookup type a letter look up. This girls not looked at the road for the whole text and her friends don't even care to remind her she's driving on the wrong side of the road! To protect yourself from these idiots on the road wear a seatbelt and buy the safest car possible. The difference between cars now and 15 years ago are almost incomparable. gone are the days where you can't open the door after a smash and heads go out of the windows on side impacts. But you're making the mistake of saying that a regular conversation is as distracting as one through a mobile phone. It's not even close. I just don't see how anyone can defend it. It's needless, as is smoking, eating or drinking. Like you said, wait until you're at lights/your destination to make that text/eat that apple/drink that water. If you need to smoke while driving then I can only pity you.
Vlad the Fox Posted 4 September 2014 Posted 4 September 2014 I'm off to the funny photos and videos thread.
Buzzell Posted 5 September 2014 Posted 5 September 2014 I'm not watching it again - perhaps the animal caused the crash in the first place? Or was it definitely put down to phone use? The amount of near misses I've had from pheasants/rabbits running in front of me is unreal. Ran over a full sized suicidal badger at 50mph once... While I was riding a motorbike It would be hard to determine whether it was down the phone use. The name of the video says it was but if there was an animal spotted in the wreck then maybe that could be the reason for the smash? Hard to say.

That defo looks like an animal in the road at the start, the car must of been travelling at some speed to
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 5 September 2014 Posted 5 September 2014 Having looked again, I don't think that is an animal at the start - looks like a man with an arm missing and legs badly broken and wrapped over themselves
Buzzell Posted 5 September 2014 Posted 5 September 2014 Don't think I'll bother watching the video to determine the reason why it happened. Just about to tuck into my packed lunch at work and I want to enjoy it

Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 5 September 2014 Posted 5 September 2014 Was that engraved on the headstone? (Poor taste, sorry)
Carl the Llama Posted 5 September 2014 Posted 5 September 2014 Right, I've gone back in to clear this all up and on show we have:-A man with an arm missing, legs facing contradictory directions and a head which appears to be busted open from the front in the same way you'd open a book. -A girl on her back with contorted legs and bodily fluids or something in a trail coming from the back of her head. -A dude in *comparatively* good shape, just about able to gasp for air for the time being. -A poor girl entombed in the car's wreckage. -A girl with her brains on display for all to see. -Another guy flat on his back with at least one broken leg who looks mostly intact but nearly dead anyway. -No dog.
