Larry_LCFC Posted 9 September 2014 Posted 9 September 2014 What teams are on the demo? This will probably be the deciding factor of whether or not I download it Barca, Man City, Dortmund, Liverpool, Chelsea. Can't remember the rest
ATLFox Posted 9 September 2014 Posted 9 September 2014 Barca, Man City, Dortmund, Liverpool, Chelsea. Can't remember the rest Cheers man Excited to play with Dortmund. Surely PSG are on it?

Countesthorpe Fox 1884 Posted 9 September 2014 Posted 9 September 2014 How long did everyone's demo take to download?
Larry_LCFC Posted 9 September 2014 Posted 9 September 2014 How long did everyone's demo take to download? 5 mins
Ashley Posted 9 September 2014 Posted 9 September 2014 How long did everyone's demo take to download? About 5 minutes.. Love when the camera bounces when you score to give the effect the fans are really celebrating.
Tom's Pasta Posted 9 September 2014 Posted 9 September 2014 Is it more like FIFA 13? I loved that game, but I hated 14
Countesthorpe Fox 1884 Posted 9 September 2014 Posted 9 September 2014 Well all your wi-fi's must be amazingly fast mines taking forever
MC Prussian Posted 9 September 2014 Author Posted 9 September 2014 Well then your original remark is meaningless Still a valid point relatively speaking, though - in the context of the 1 out of 50.
Stadt Posted 9 September 2014 Posted 9 September 2014 Still a valid point relatively speaking, though - in the context of the 1 out of 50.yeah it's not a great stat regardless if it's came from a computer game, you could make a decent argument that even Rooney shouldn't be there
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 9 September 2014 Posted 9 September 2014 Played the demo for FIFA 15. Plays like FIFA 12.3, I haven't brought one for a few years and still yet to delve in to the PS4 given how much I have been using and enjoying my Vita but when I do I might pick it up as long as... Does it have couch co-op back for online modes?
Brainy Posted 9 September 2014 Posted 9 September 2014 Played one game and turned off instantly. Although tbf its because expert mode is just pathetic, the game didn't actually seem that bad.
Charl91 Posted 10 September 2014 Posted 10 September 2014 Played three games. Think I can safely add this to my "do not buy" list.
One Arm Babba Posted 10 September 2014 Posted 10 September 2014 I've only played the instant game on the Xbox one and my thoughts on it are thus: + presentation is exemplary + ball and player physics seem to have improved I didn't find any more than that as positives after 1 games. On to the negatives: - pace seems to be lethal again, Raheem Sterling just burns every city player. - defending is woeful, the pressing seems way weaker than before, I found it quite difficult to tackle the computer. - injuries, I had 2 in the first 10 minutes, albeit one was a cruncher where Sturridge did a somasault! - running with the ball seems unbelievably clunky. I was under the impression they were refining this, but it feels like they have gone back to 8 direction movement I'll play some more later, but so far I'm very disappointed.

Bare in mind, if you play on the default setting against an AI team they don't seem to sprint, which gives the impression the players are faster. Only played one game myself, the presentation already looks awesome. In terms of gameplay I don't like playing against AI teams so will wait till I am playing against real players before making a judgement on that. Scored an absolutely delicious goal with Ricky Lambert to kick things off.
Charl91 Posted 10 September 2014 Posted 10 September 2014 What have they actually changed? It plays like Fifa 14 at 1.5 speed. Fifa is a con - I'd argue that they haven't made any "improvements" since Fifa 12. Admittedly Fifa 13 is slightly nicer, but it's basically the same game as 12, with very minor improvements. All they seem to do every year is change the music, change the user interface around, and then make a few slight changes (not improvements) to the game play, so that it appears slightly different to the year before, and then market it as a new and improved game. This year they seem to have gone for making the game slightly faster paced - they must have realised how slow and awful 14 was. It's a slight improvement on 14, but the players still turn like tanks, and it's still not a patch on 13. The camera now follows the ball instead of the player, and makes you feel slightly sea-sick. The crowd looks slightly cooler this year, the flight path of the ball is slightly more varied and it's not Fifa 14. I think that's all I can really say in the positive column.

That's what EA are good at doing; they'll happily remove a feature one year so that they can market it as "new" the next.
filbertway Posted 10 September 2014 Posted 10 September 2014 If you're happy to stick with FIFA 08/09/10/11/12 then it's win win as you don't have to spend any money. For me, I find it so hard to go back and play a previous version as you can't do stuff in that game that you can in a newer version. Also one thing I am loving is being able to select any receiver for free kicks and throw ins. Possibly also goal kicks though I haven't taken one yet.

I'd happily stick with older Fifas, the problem is that I only like to play online, and they kill the servers after a few years. Fifa 11's server went last year, so I imagine 12's server will go as soon as 15 comes out. I'll happily stick with 13, which should be around for another year, but if Fifa 16 is bad, then it means I wont be able to play any decent Fifa games anymore.

Caution - the servers remain active for roughly 2 1/2 years upon the release of the corresponding FIFA title. FIFA 13 UT will be playable until January/February next year and then it'll be gone.

Leicester_Loyal Posted 10 September 2014 Posted 10 September 2014 It never really improves, they just change the gameplay. I'll still buy it though, because it's new and they have updated transfers.
Samilktray Posted 10 September 2014 Posted 10 September 2014 Sterling and Hazard are pretty good on the demo.
