Just been called a sweaty bastard, repeatedly, loudly and very squeakily by some foul mouthed fifteen year old. I wouldn't mind but at no point was I actually winning. I came from 3 - 0 to tie it up about 4 - 4 and after every goal he got more and more upset. He had Schurrle, Balotelli, Aguero and Mata but what made me and my silver side "sweaty", apparently, was squaring the ball to a supporting runner for open goals when he kept repeatedly doing the most moronic keeper rushes. Shame I couldn't win in the end. He whupped me with a few late goals and celebrated like he was Doncaster Rovers beating Chelsea in the FA Cup Final. Love it.

You could do it last year but they took it out because you could trade a player + coins as a sweetener, and people were using it to trade coins over that they'd bought.

He runs his arse off from the first to last minute and I think Fifa underrates him. The pace and stamina he has is incredible.

I dare say Christiano Ronaldo could probably about manage it if he had the application (!!!) but I can't remember seeing someone actually play like Vards. It's his pace, stamina and his application. They're incredible.

Disappointed I've only won 4 titles so far but that's only because of how unbelievably bad at defending I am. Think I've scored 11 in the last 3 but conceded 8 or something like that. Team is; Leno Piszczek - Hummels - Benatia - Rodriguez Alonso Gundogan - Thiago Mkhitaryan Aubameyang - Ramos Aubameang is actually a RM but his pace is absolutely frightening through the middle, looking at buying Lahm (CM) as my next purchase to replace Thiago then it'll probably be Gotze at CAM.

Cat Burger Posted 12 October 2014 Posted 12 October 2014 If you're not going to spend money on buying packs, you're probably better off spending five minutes or so every couple of hours (that you play, not all day) on the transfer market than buying packs with your coins. I buy up a load of 80 pace players for 150 as the auctions are expiring and then list them all at once for 250. Doesn't really take any effort and occasionally while you're doing it you'll find a few players you can pick up for 400/500 that you know will double or treble your money. Depends on the time of day. I've built what's a really nice silver squad now that I've probably spent about 150k on all in all and almost none of that came from packs. All just from winning games / tournaments and buying/selling cards. Buying packs with coins to try and make more coins will rarely be profitable. That said, I do appreciate opening packs is a bit addictive! Very helpful, cheers. I've never played UT properly before. You're right about the packs, perhaps I should do both!

Not sure if it helps as it may all be nugent's chugging around.

Obviously the game only exists if people buy packs. It's what injects players in to the market. Plus it can be rewarding and can be compelling, so I understand the appeal. I'm inclined to treat myself to a fivers worth maybe every pay day or something. People spend more money and less time on MMOs than I do on fifa and the result is the same. But yeah, saving 7k coins then spuffing them on packs, getting 2k worth of contracts and Nikica Jelavic for your troubles kinda sucks.
MC Prussian Posted 13 October 2014 Author Posted 13 October 2014 The controls feel a bit more sluggish than previous titles, players move in somewhat strange ways (especially when it comes to sudden acceleration and you trying to catch up; the amount of twists and turns of opposing players, even on a low difficulty, are a bit OTT) and I struggled a little against my first CPU opposition on Semi-Pro. I dread the day I'm playing on Professional, and even more so beyond that.
