Cat Burger Posted 11 October 2014 Posted 11 October 2014 I wouldn't dream of paying for Ultimate team. I just play matches and save up for premium packs. Got Honda yesterday but he doesn't go for much, so he's just hitting beauts at the moment in behind Welbeck.

Got Honda yesterday but he doesn't go for much, so he's just hitting beauts at the moment in behind Welbeck. If you're not going to spend money on buying packs, you're probably better off spending five minutes or so every couple of hours (that you play, not all day) on the transfer market than buying packs with your coins. I buy up a load of 80 pace players for 150 as the auctions are expiring and then list them all at once for 250. Doesn't really take any effort and occasionally while you're doing it you'll find a few players you can pick up for 400/500 that you know will double or treble your money. Depends on the time of day. I've built what's a really nice silver squad now that I've probably spent about 150k on all in all and almost none of that came from packs. All just from winning games / tournaments and buying/selling cards. Buying packs with coins to try and make more coins will rarely be profitable. That said, I do appreciate opening packs is a bit addictive!
foxfanazer Posted 11 October 2014 Posted 11 October 2014 Has anyone ever made a team of one particular nationality in a league, that happens to not be their nationality? I'm thinking of an Argentine side based in the Premier League. I bet you could actually do it. Spanish or French qould probably be easier but I like the idea
Dan Posted 11 October 2014 Posted 11 October 2014 Spanish or French qould probably be easier but I like the idea Caballero Zabaleta - Demichelis - Coloccini - Rojo Lamela - Yacob - Cambiasso - Di Maria Aguero - Ulloa Man; Pochettino
HEGGSY Posted 11 October 2014 Posted 11 October 2014 Today will haunt Wes Morgan until the day he dies
Devonfox1884 Posted 11 October 2014 Posted 11 October 2014 Caballero Zabaleta - Demichelis - Coloccini - Rojo Lamela - Yacob - Cambiasso - Di Maria Aguero - Ulloa Man; Pochettino Rojo is a CB on FIFA this year.
lgfualol Posted 11 October 2014 Posted 11 October 2014 Just pulled out a 17 year old 71 rated winger from my youth academy. Already better than half my team.
HEGGSY Posted 11 October 2014 Posted 11 October 2014 I've got 60k to spend on a silver team. Anything but The Prem Suggestions?
GingerrrFox Posted 11 October 2014 Posted 11 October 2014 I've got 60k to spend on a silver team. Anything but The Prem Suggestions? Turkish or Portuguese league
Finnegan Posted 11 October 2014 Posted 11 October 2014 I've got 60k to spend on a silver team. Anything but The Prem Suggestions? Get on futhead, filter just the silver players and look at a few leagues or a few nationalities. That's how I got the idea for my Liga MX / Colombia mix. Last version I played I had a silver German side, before Germany became a bit more popular. I know that sounds hipster as hell but actually I just can't afford a German side now. I mean Cuero cost me 200, look how expensive Esswein is. Or Hahn.
Ashley Posted 11 October 2014 Posted 11 October 2014 I've got 60k to spend on a silver team. Anything but The Prem Suggestions? Sweaty silver side or possibly bronze
Ian W LCFC Posted 11 October 2014 Posted 11 October 2014 I've had the last few FIFAs but have never tried FUT. I don't even really understand what it is. Can somebody explain it to me in as idiot-proof a way as possible? Start off with a crap team, with only a few gold players. You play games to get coins and buy better players to improve your team. Chemistry is really important, to get high chemistry make a team from the same league or same nationality.
Finnegan Posted 11 October 2014 Posted 11 October 2014 Sweaty silver side or possibly bronze You'd hate my fut team.
Brainy Posted 11 October 2014 Posted 11 October 2014 Anybody with a PL team who has Clichy and Walker as their full backs is a pace whore, end of.
ScouseFox Posted 11 October 2014 Posted 11 October 2014 this thread makes me want to buy fifa an get my 360 out the box and play ultimate team. get my fifa 12 second rate argentina side back on the go. n
Brainy Posted 11 October 2014 Posted 11 October 2014 How do people tend to build teams then, like what stats do you look out for? Is it simply just pace. Is anybody like me and like to build teams that many people wouldn't make and don't know many players? Last year I made a La Liga silver side, played 352 Goalkeeper - I simply just looked for the best looking (stat wise ) players with the best rating, sounds simple but seemed effective. Plumped for Karnezis Defence - 3 CB's so not a great deal of pace to be found. I really dont care about pace in defence, i'm happy enough to pick one lanky twat even with 40 pace (Like Vestergaard, Bundesliga who is 6ft6) so long as the other two are competent enough at running. Mainly look for heading ability. (Juan Cala (guy who ended up at Cardiff, Murillo and Ilori) Defensive Mid - Shots Love my long shots (Trochowski is god, M'Bia for presence) RM/LM - Admittedly I look for pace, with back up having atleast average pace if their other technical stats look good. (Cedrick and Aleix/Aquino) CAM - Shooting (Rafinha) ST - A mixture of pace and heading. Thievy was incredible, Papa Boubacar Diawara was quick enough and had an absolute bullet of an accurate header. Boakye and Uche were just slightly slower versions of Thievy
Larry_LCFC Posted 11 October 2014 Posted 11 October 2014 Anybody with a PL team who has Clichy and Walker as their full backs is a pace whore, end of. People with the likes of Doumbia and Martins up front are pace whores. Clichy and Walker just counteract that.
Finnegan Posted 11 October 2014 Posted 11 October 2014 I wanted a team that not many people would have (shut it Wookie!) I get bored of playing against the same players every match, playing WITH them is even worse. So that was a consideration. I really liked Colombia, Chile, Mexico and the general Latin American vibe of the world cup so I went for it. In terms of stats, eh, pretty straight forward. One big striker, preferably fast, one little one who is rapid. Midfielders that have a bit of strength and can pick a pass, some rapid full backs and a unit or two at cb.
Finnegan Posted 11 October 2014 Posted 11 October 2014 People with the likes of Doumbia and Martins up front are pace whores. Clichy and Walker just counteract that. Chicken and egg.
Brainy Posted 11 October 2014 Posted 11 October 2014 People with the likes of Doumbia and Martins up front are pace whores. Clichy and Walker just counteract that. Well it depends what team they've built. AFAIK Doumbia plays in Russia, I don't have a clue what the best strikers are in the Russian League. Ashleys is a PL side and there are clearly better RB's out there than Walker.
Finnegan Posted 11 October 2014 Posted 11 October 2014 Do half you guys play on the Xbone? I'm on the xbone. You?
Larry_LCFC Posted 11 October 2014 Posted 11 October 2014 Well it depends what team they've built. AFAIK Doumbia plays in Russia, I don't have a clue what the best strikers are in the Russian League. It appears FUT is no longer about how highly rated players are, its about how fast they can run.
