Didn't play the UKIPT Mini day 1 on Sunday as I have realised the main event is this coming Sunday and I will be massively hungover down south. Might change my mind but I doubt it.

Got me in to the game with late night poker back in the late 90's. I'm not a big fan of autobiographies but his is absolutely superb, read the entire thing with his voice in my head as if he was reading it to me, such was the way it was written, highly recommended to any poker fan, would be especially poignant to read now.

RIP Dave.

I was really looking forward to the Grand Prix at Dusk Till Dawn next month, with a $120 buy in and $1million guarantee, but I've just realised that Day Two is on the 24th May- same day as Leicester vs QPR. I'm absolutely gutted because there's no way I'm missing the game :(

Hold up... I'm being told there will be 2 Day Twos. Fingers crossed that it's true :D

Had a soul crushing few tournies last night. One was a freeroll Road to 200k on Paddy to win one £75 entry. Over 1700 players and I was 300,000 chips ahead of 2nd and 3rd with about 40 players left. I was dreaming of getting in that 200k tourny and hopefully winning a stack. Get dealt KK and somebody with Q6 off-suit tried to steal the pot (30,00ish) pre-flop. 2,3,4,5 is dealt out so I lost a good portion, still just in 1st place for a short while but on the final table I flop two pairs KJ and the same dude who would more often than not have been sent packing against the KK knocks me out with 3 7's.

Was ready to ball but checked sharkscope and saw I was the better player so just thought aaah you scumbag you're crap and didn't cry.

Just played a $27.50 MTT on party poker. 300ish entries. 36, got paid, top 20 also won an entry to the DTD grand prix worth $120, first place was just shy of $1,500.

18 left and I'm still in and dealt AQ on the BB. Folds round to small blind who raises, I shove and he calls with pocket 10s.

Flop KQ5

Turn A

River J

Didn't expect to be racing but why does it always run out so sick? lol ah well, won a seat + $68

Played my first proper game in 5 years. Just with my mates but won £200. The cards were very nice to me but I played them well and was massively stacked for heads up

Came second at Leiceater last night. Second and final hand of heads up I had KK and lost to A5 :(

Bit of a long shot but do anyone know any poker tables available for hire in London? I know there is one in King Cross but it is booked on the date that I want it for.

When I took the $1000 tourney down I was on the final table and took out the other big stack for a massive lead. Now I am not a fan of playing many hands against monster stacks, it is always better to take advantage of people hanging on in the later stages that are trying to climb the ladder.

We had some pre flop action and it came down.

7d 6c 2d

I had 22 but bet out concerned with the fllush draw (I did not really want to risk it against the only other monster stack). I got re-raised so I raised him back. He ended up putting them all in ...... I tanked but then called. I was expecting to be up against a diamond draw, a pocket pair or possibly in worst case scenario being crushed by another set. Unbelievably all he had was A7 and the turn bought a 6 which gave me a boat and the pot. I then went on to systematically take out each player at the FT.

Some people play so recklessly online!

In other news I played the Super50 at DTD last night, never really got going as desppite hitting some big hands someone always had one better (annoyingly often made on the river).

Ended up busting when I shoved pair of 7s pre flop getting called by AQ. At that point I had less than half of average so I would have taken that flip anyway....just a shame my slight % advantage did not come through.

Really would love to qualify for a seriously big poker tournament with £300+ buy-in but that will have to wait I fear...

I'm guessing that last comment is off the back of the WPT500 seat inc. in the Super 50 guarantee? Wouldn't mind playing it myself but it would be too much of a bankroll killer.

Well done on the win again. Pretty horrible situation to but a massive stack at risk but there's no excuse for getting it in there with TPTK lol
