ronnup Posted 4 November 2014 Posted 4 November 2014 At times I wonder if I've been given a different definition of a word to someone else. Do you really believe we're virtual certainties to go down?Yes. Yes I do. The bigger question is do you honestly believe we've got what it takes to beat these other premiership teams? We've shown ourselves to be very weak recently. Pure adrenaline and enthusiasm brought us early points but we're now in a horrible rut of losses and Pearson has played a different team every week for four weeks. Often leaving out our best players due to what seems to be personal 'attitude' problems. I just think we're a little off the pace. Lacking in the quality necessary. Not enough players who've played at this level before and I think our lads are a little scared at the whistle. Just my opinion. I was carping like the best after Man U. We'll see
Freesolo Posted 4 November 2014 Posted 4 November 2014 We're going through a rough patch right now, had a few results gone our way we would be sitting pretty, on top of that we ain't be playing the best. So if we can play a bit better and catch a few breaks we should be able to stay up no probs
Freesolo Posted 4 November 2014 Posted 4 November 2014 Also forgot to add we have the January transfer window to come soon to which could help us bolster our squad and bring in some players in positions we are lacking any class like decent LW RW and some more quality at the back
Leicester Lass Posted 4 November 2014 Posted 4 November 2014 Also forgot to add we have the January transfer window to come soon to which could help us bolster our squad and bring in some players in positions we are lacking any class like decent LW RW and some more quality at the back I'm not being funny but Pearson knew very early on that Dyer was leaving last season and he didn't find a replacement. Going to be a lot harder to do that in January than it would have been in the summer. We have capable wingers in Knockaert and Albrighton, maybe even Lawrence, but Pearson is choosing not to use them.
J.Lisemore Posted 4 November 2014 Posted 4 November 2014 If Pearson keeps fvcking about with tactics, formations etc. Then no, we won't survive.
the-blue-wildabeast Posted 4 November 2014 Posted 4 November 2014 I think we are plenty good enough to stay up if we play as we did first 4-5 games. Our current bad form is caused simply by the manager playing formations that are ineffective and never playing our best 11, as yet again he appears to have the hump with our flair players. Its very much in Nigel's hands, if he carry's on with his highly successful'I know best, and will pick a team capable of winning this game' stubbornness then we may be in trouble, as he hasn't really managed to outwit any other team yet. Get back to 442 and player wingers and guess what, we will create chances again and win a few games.
KFS Posted 4 November 2014 Posted 4 November 2014 Hopefully being in the bottom three will kick them into gear. I'd certainly be pissed that we've let it come to this, but then I have a fierce passion for Leicester City. Time to get moving again.
Socks Posted 4 November 2014 Posted 4 November 2014 Pearson needs to stop pissing about sitting in the stands and get on the byline and start shouting at folk if we're gonna survive.
ImBlue Posted 4 November 2014 Posted 4 November 2014 Pearson needs to stop pissing about sitting in the stands and get on the byline and start shouting at folk if we're gonna survive. He is not a 'track suit manager' anymore
Freesolo Posted 4 November 2014 Posted 4 November 2014 He is not a 'track suit manager' anymore Imagine him in a suit
Guest Col city fan Posted 4 November 2014 Posted 4 November 2014 How many who are now saying we are doomed to relegation were saying a few weeks ago we could realistically make Europe? Only on Foxes Talk...
Guest ttfn Posted 4 November 2014 Posted 4 November 2014 How many who are now saying we are doomed to relegation were saying a few weeks ago we could realistically make Europe? Only on Foxes Talk... I reckon less than 5. Probably less than 3.
suffolk fox Posted 4 November 2014 Posted 4 November 2014 No, unless we stop tinkering and strenghen big time in January
Karljohn Posted 4 November 2014 Posted 4 November 2014 If we can find a goal scoring midfielder and finally settle on our best x1 and formation then yes, around 15th.
fox in the sox Posted 4 November 2014 Posted 4 November 2014 I think we'll get 42-45 points, which is almost invariably enough. I do think that it might be a different manager who gets us there though if we have less than 20 by the new year. 9 games to get 11 points. I don't think we will get that many! 34 was enough last season which is around the figure I can see us getting. Last season there were 3 very poor sides though...this season may be different.
fox in the sox Posted 4 November 2014 Posted 4 November 2014 No, unless we stop tinkering and strenghen big time in January We already have a 24 man squad so we would need to ship quite a few players out to 'strengthen big time'. If we are still struggling by January how many of our players will be attracting interest? Also many have been given long contracts.

fox in the sox Posted 4 November 2014 Posted 4 November 2014 you can change your 25 man squad during a transfer window Yes you can change your squad but do we want loads of players hanging around the club picking up wages who are not even in the squad?
surrifox Posted 4 November 2014 Posted 4 November 2014 Sunderland, Crystal Palace, QPR, Burnley and even Villa can all be as bad as us. It will be out of these 5/6 teams with Burnley I would say retain lay taking one of the places. We can not afford another Swansea performance, we will need a little luck along the way, but I think we will be fine in the end. QPR, Burnley and Sunderland look to have put in worse performance than us so far, but I feel Sunderland might just have enough to survive, while Colin might fook it up for palace and send them down. agreed to which can be added a team that have never looked in serious danger and then hit the skids on the run in - could still happen to Newcastle - even Stoke or West Ham who are all a bit flakey
ImBlue Posted 4 November 2014 Posted 4 November 2014 How many who are now saying we are doomed to relegation were saying a few weeks ago we could realistically make Europe? Only on Foxes Talk... Col, We beat man utd coming back from 3-1 down and drew with arsenal and everton, beating stoke away and narrowly losing to Chelsea with a depleted squad. Maybe optimism of Europe kind was too far but you can almost forgive it. Now a point at home to Burnley is all we have to show for 5 games and we look poor with no way out? Football is a funny game and things can change very quickly. Our fortunes have changed that much, and it isn't the fans fault. What would you prefer, everybody to just sit on the fence with you all year?
Kitchandro Posted 4 November 2014 Posted 4 November 2014 No, unless we stop tinkering and strenghen big time in January We don't need to strengthen big time at all. Use the players we've got correctly and we'll be fine. I just can't see that happening at the moment. I almost feel we've got too many players. Too much choice and too much scope for Pearson to make the wrong selections.

This. You have to finish top of your mini league of six. If you include Wba in that or even Hull , you have to have better results than them when you play them. Lets look at it at the moment admittedly we still have to play some of those teams but so far we have lost to both Palace and Wba, drew with Burnley at home. On that basis so far, we are failing and more than likely to get relegated.
MC Prussian Posted 4 November 2014 Posted 4 November 2014 I wonder what Tuna will say..... *Copy & paste*
Raj Posted 4 November 2014 Posted 4 November 2014 if he uses wingers who can cross for strikers who can score we will be 17th!! If not we are dead!
