Fox92 Posted 8 November 2014 Posted 8 November 2014 Don't you think this over-reactionary BS is exactly the sort of thing he shouldn't be doing as a supposedly balanced commentator? I dunno. Firstly does it have to be balanced as such? It's Radio Leicester not 5Live - he's reporting as a Leicester City commentator and as a Leicester City fan. I do think he provides balance though. The quote in question, for example, if it wasn't balanced then he'd be saying "Nigel keeping his job". Surely? I'm not sure.

He always harps on about the balanced commentator thing, since they are part of the BBC etc... and then persists on being sensationalist. It just does my head in. So much so that I don't listen to radio leicester really anymore. Then again, you don't want a commentator to be boring and middle of the road, do you? I just feel he swings just as much as a fan does. Some might say that's a good thing. I think it's terrible. Many of us can't put up with other fans that well (the evidence is undeniable from this forum!) and he should stop trying to jump on the most extreme point of view going. Maybe it just turns out I don't like the media and he's just one example of many in that industry who sensationalise everything needlessly for a story or attention.
harmoye Posted 8 November 2014 Posted 8 November 2014 Stringer says it like it is !... Stringer is saying what the rest of you will be saying in a few weeks time !

Stringer said last week that he's not a fan, that he was when he was a boy, but that stopped when he became a commentator.
Tuna Posted 8 November 2014 Posted 8 November 2014 I want Pearson to go but was shocked by what Stringer said.
Grewks Posted 8 November 2014 Posted 8 November 2014 Don't give me this 'Stringer is a foxes fan' bollox. He's as much of a foxes fan as Pearson.
fergmaner Posted 8 November 2014 Posted 8 November 2014 Pulis or Moyes, Pearson doesn't have much time left, we can't risk another 10 years in shitsville
bellind Posted 8 November 2014 Posted 8 November 2014 I wish someone would say the same to Stringer from RL, p---off Stringer, mind you I think NP is walking a tight line.
Sharpe's Fox Posted 8 November 2014 Posted 8 November 2014 Pulis or Moyes, Pearson doesn't have much time left, we can't risk another 10 years in shitsville We would still be in Shitsville if it weren't for Pearson, cretin.
Guest Col city fan Posted 8 November 2014 Posted 8 November 2014 I think Stringer, as a City fan, is just as frustrated as the rest of us AND he don't always think before he opens his mouth. But at least he's passionate and not boring and PC like many commentators could be.
fergmaner Posted 8 November 2014 Posted 8 November 2014 Yes agreed, however he has to listen and play a team that can score goals, I am pro Pearson but also a realist and if he can't cut it then do we sink with the captain or find someone else to steer the ship away from danger?
LCFC Rennie Posted 8 November 2014 Posted 8 November 2014 We would still be in Shitsville if it weren't for Pearson, cretin. Very true. Stick by him.

dannythefox Posted 8 November 2014 Posted 8 November 2014 I don't want him to leave but l wouldn't be surprised if he got the push if we don't get 4 points out the next two games
chapero82 Posted 8 November 2014 Posted 8 November 2014 I do not want him to be sacked, but Sven got sacked around the same time if I remember rightly so who knows what the board is thinking
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 8 November 2014 Posted 8 November 2014 I think Stringer, as a City fan, is just as frustrated as the rest of us AND he don't always think before he opens his mouth. But at least he's passionate and not boring and PC like many commentators could be. This
Burbo17J2 Posted 8 November 2014 Posted 8 November 2014 As i said on the other thread, I don't want him to leave, he is a great guy, but unless he stops making silly formation changes then I'm afraid he will be gone
fuchsntf Posted 8 November 2014 Posted 8 November 2014 He's good enough (in terms of local radio) as a commentator. He's a piss poor self-appointed journalist. The way he shoved a microphone in Sven's face to ask him if he'd been sacked was nothing short of disgraceful.Your comments shows a proven point really, long time with BBC radio Leicester, no advancement in his journalistic, reporterambitions. Shows he has his limits. Actually many a sports media reporters forget the people they interview have reached a success in their chosen proffession, that they themselves can only dream of. They are even more stupid, because they are so far into themselves, they cant see it, or get it.There has been some great sport commentators, and jounalist, too many also rans try to be too clever for their own good.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 8 November 2014 Posted 8 November 2014 Trying not to lose games is all NP can do tactically. We need to try and WIN games by ATTACKING the other side. We are just boring and predictable at the moment. I would rather put up a fight and lose 3-2 each game than lose 2-0 every fookin time we play!!!!
5waller5 Posted 9 November 2014 Author Posted 9 November 2014 This I disagree .... I think he has plenty of pre-prepared statements he's just looking to get in .... And that was one of them.
Ashley Posted 9 November 2014 Posted 9 November 2014 Blocked me on Twitter when I had better information than him on the possible pitch inspection before Bournemouth away game. As others have mentioned he only cares for himself and it's all about making himself look good.
LcfcBaker Posted 9 November 2014 Posted 9 November 2014 The allez les bleus thing at the forest game was cringing and very childish commentating. Made himself look a complete cock.
shade Posted 9 November 2014 Posted 9 November 2014 stringer can suck a fat one. i bet he reads these threads in his shítstained underwear loving the fact that people are discussing him, good or bad. he's the weasel at school who stood on the sidelines cajoling people on, and then ran to tell the teacher.
