tickler28 Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Name one manager who would be a better option. It's not a hard question. I'm not saying there's not better options out there, but name one that would come here. I'm not sure on Nigel at the moment, but Pulis is not the answer, and who else is there? Mick McCarthy or possibly Neil Lennon
south aussie fox Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 But he signed or gave these players new contracts. Its his job to motivate and win. Simples I am just saying "at the moment" I haven't disagreed with sacking him, but let's see how we go in the next couple of weeks. We will probably beet Liverpool at home, that's how we are playing at the moment.
nettle Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Get Glenn hoddle in at least he will get us playing on the deck.
Callabinho Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Who will we stay up with? Is it the end of the world if we go down? No of course not, I'm sure the owners will be fine with it. "It's alright Nige, don't worry about all of the money we have pumped into the club, we don't mind being embarrassed for a season with our company logo plastered all over the ground, mind who wants to play the likes of Man city, Arsenal and Chelsea, it's all about Brighton Forest and Boro"
Mark_w Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Any side that sacks their manager, the season after promotion, while they're one point off 17th place deserves everything they get.
Callabinho Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 We are better than Burnley on every level, we're just not performing right now. Pulis however is not the answer - we've seen this team can't play hoofball, and that's all Pulis knows Really? Go and ask Palace how they played last season. Because it wasn't hoofball.
Bettsj2 Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Just to check before I post anything else, is it STILL a kneejerk reaction to want him gone?
The Doctor Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Mick McCarthy or possibly Neil Lennon Lennon has just joined Bolton, he's not going to leave. I'll give you Mick McCarthy, although like Pulis I would seriously question if the players we have would fit his style - we're too desperate to uproot the entire team right now
Guest ttfn Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 I am worried that Pearson's temporary insanity may have turned permanent. But we've got way too much invested in him to let him leave whether we get relegated or not
The Doctor Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Really? Go and ask Palace how they played last season. Because it wasn't hoofball. It was route 1 to say the least - they weren't a passing team by any stretch of the imagination
LAprice_ Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Still can't understand why he took mahrez off only decent player we have got. Because he was completely ineffective during the whole time he was on the pitch + didn't help Ritchie De Laet out at all?
Focks Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 It was route 1 to say the least - they weren't a passing team by any stretch of the imagination ...neither are we at the moment
Guest kristianity77 Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 To be honest, I dont know what to think anymore. After seeing Albrighton come on and Ulloa go off at the same time, you have to question what the hell is going on.
Guest ttfn Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Any side that sacks their manager, the season after promotion, while they're one point off 17th place deserves everything they get. 2 points in 8 games. Daft formations for half of that run. Daft substitutions for the rest of it. I am anything but a Pearson hater and don't want him to go but your "level-headedness" is starting to look nothing other than sticking your head in the sand.
Matt Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Mick McCarthy or possibly Neil Lennon Neil Lennon...jesus christ! Mick, well, I hadn't thought of him, always liked Mad Mick, but would I swap him at this moment? Probably not, not a bad shout though, i'll give you that.
nettle Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Because he was completely ineffective during the whole time he was on the pitch + didn't help Ritchie De Laet out at all?
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 This thread doesn't make me want to injure myself
The Doctor Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 ...neither are we at the moment No, but it's the only way we can play well. We've seen time and time again that we can't play route one, that the strikers need the ball to feet, not to head.
Mark_w Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 I am worried that Pearson's temporary insanity may have turned permanent. What did he do wrong in the last two games really?
nettle Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 De last is just crap unfortunately. Doesn't matter who plays in front of him.
Singha Beer Is Good! Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 We shouldn't sack Pearson, we shouldn't panic, there will be three teams worse off than us by the end of the season. We should get rid of De Laet - he can't defend to save his life and christ knows why he was given a new four year deal. Get Simpson in and let's try and get the defence sorted out.

richard80014 Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Come on owners - get rid of this baffoon All the Pearsonites would still defend him if he took us down to non league - far too many inept and pathetic Pearsonite so called supporters in our club. Get rid of Pearson and all the thick Pearsonite plonkers who just say who do we get in bah bah bah Answer is anyone will do at least as good a job - we are bottom of the league you planks so stop with your Pearsonite pathetic and disturbing love for the man and start supporting what is best for the club who as Pearson puts it 'Don't bother turning up' Although the reality is all the Pearsonites don't actually go to the games anyway. Pearson is history and when the new better manager comes in it will be interesting to see if the Pearsonites support the new manager as they claim to support the club - but we all know different - they love the man and not the club whereas the real intelligent fans love the club Cue all the loony pearsonite responses and insults - pathetic the lot of you and you should hang your head in shame I bet you all loved Peter Taylor also Pathetic and makes me ashamed to be associated with such pathetic Pearsonite plonkers as part of our club Pearson is history so get over it and start supporting the club you morons
