Bettsj2 Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 We're all happy to accept that a player may not be Premiership standard (Nugent) and shouldnt be anywhere near the team, so why are so many reluctant to accept that it is the case for managers too? Pearson does not know how to handle this league and we cannot wait any longer. Pulis has to come in and sort this out. He has shown he can take a failing side and keep them up. He can stabalise us in the division for a couple of seasons and then we can look to push on.

dayday Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 If we did get rid,I can see Cambiasso getting the job to the end of the season.

jimmeh Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Liverpool are 10/11 to beat us. Get on it. You won't get those odds before kick off
Happy Fox Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Pulis is probably our best bet, he would keep us up no doubt about that. Free agent in all.
johnny the fox Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 If this manager has not earned the right to the whole season... well FFS.... mark my words if we sack Pearson now it would mean certain relegation. Its time for the panic monkeys to hold their nerve ..but sadly I know its asking too much. any new man brought in would be a massive shot in the dark, with absolutely NO guarantees..
Guest kristianity77 Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 I'd take relegation over watching Tony Pulis turning my team into a hoof & hope side again. Out of curiosity, do you think how we are playing right now is easy on the eye then?
FoxyPalace.com Posted 29 November 2014 Author Posted 29 November 2014 Pulis is probably our best bet, he would keep us up no doubt about that. Free agent in all. He did a good job with Palace.
LCFCSOULBOY Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Who signed most of the inept players on the field today? Whoever it was, should be gone. No more excuses of need to take our chances etc. We are pathetic all over the park. No just at scoring goals but defending is lousy. I am tired of the excuses why Pearson should not go. A defender in his day and he cannot identify a decent defender, alone not organise one. I thought with our run of fixtures next next few weeks we could be bottom at Christmas. Looks as though my Christmas has come early. GET HIM OUT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! DON"T WANT TO HEAR ANY MORE SMUG INTERVIEWS WITH HIM IN A LEICESTER TRACK SUITE>>>>ENOUGH IS ENOUGH I have completely lost all respect for what he did for us last season, now. I am sad but we do need to try something else now. Burnley not lost in 3 QPR playing better, looking like they can cause problems. US. Completely hopeless all over the field. Sorry but no more excuses. Hope he's sacked by the morning.
eaststand68 Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 We shouldn't sack Pearson, we shouldn't panic, there will be three teams worse off than us by the end of the season. We should get rid of De Laet - he can't defend to save his life and christ knows why he was given a new four year deal. Get Simpson in and let's try and get the defence sorted out. But Pearson wont drop him that's the point
MC Prussian Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 First of all, I'd take a close look at our current crop of players right now and make shrewd decisions about whom to definitely put up for sale and whom to loan out. Then buy or loan new players in January - but more wisely this time. Players who are better suited to the Premier League or have at least more Premier League experience. It feels as if Pearson is testing the league for the first half to see how far he can go, obviously the results don't do him any favour.

Mark Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Out of curiosity, do you think how we are playing right now is easy on the eye then? I'm not against a change so long as we actually do some research as Southampton seem to do, but Tony Pulis, seriously? Learn from Southampton. Crystal Palace got lucky with Pulis, look at their manager recruitment. They've gone from Holloway to Pulis to Warnock, wheres that going to take them? May as well go back down and win some games in the championship than settle for 16th/17th place finishes, crap football and a horrible manager.
GingerrrFox Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Keep Nigel or get Glen Hoddle in. Two options. Pulis is a ****ing maniac and I want him nowhere near Leicester City.

He signed the majority of them for the Championship and AFTER they had a season to adapt to the Championship, they went on to storm the league. Should we perhaps show the same patience this time.
iancognito Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Pulis would be a better option for me. Pfft. Hahahhaaaaahhaaa. You accuse Pearson of aimless hoof ball and then say Pulis is a better option. I'll store that comment and throw it back at you when you're whining about Pulis. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Pearson needs January, he's well aware we'll need 3 players probably more if/when we lose Mahrez and Schlupp for 5 weeks.
kingfox Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 He has taken us as far as he can, he is clearly out of his depth. His recruiting in the Summer was piss poor, and he is keen to rely heavily on the players that got us promoted, even if they aren't good enough. We have done bugger all against the teams we need to be beating, and the most depressing thing is we couldn't even score against the likes of Palace, West Brom & Sunderland. Meanwhile even though we probably created more chances today than we have done in the last three games in particular, we still ended up losing the match by conceding sloppy goals. We still can't defend from set pieces, and my question is what the fvck do we practice on the training ground? Pearson was a defender himself, he of all people should know how to set up & defend better from set pieces, but yet again at times that is proving to be our downfall. Pulis my not be everyone's cup of tea, but he turned Stoke into a stable Premier League team, and in the end easily saved Palace from relegation.
Webbo Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Steve Clarke? Not a bad shout, not sure why he was sacked at WBA.
nettle Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Keep Nigel or get Glen Hoddle in. Two options. Pulis is a ****ing maniac and I want him nowhere near Leicester City.+1
Monsell1976 Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Not that it's at all a certainty as some people would have us believe, but I'd accept relegation if we could be confident we'd be going into next season with the same set up. Whereas relegation is damaging for clubs like QPR and Cardiff who have a short-termist approach it wouldn't be for us if we managed ourselves properly.Like us losing 30 million a year in the championship, and with players on long expensive contracts since going up, and will still be I big debt with parachute payments
cityfanlee23 Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Any managers from this list? Personally I think Pearson deserves a chance, However from a business and football perspective he needs to turn this around FAST. and stop making utterly delusional decisions, or he won't last long. Paolo di canio Owen coyle Alan curbishley Roy Keane (If he left Ireland) Glenn hoddle (If he left QPR) Kenny Dalglish gerard houlier Martin Jol Brian McDermott Tony Pulis Graham souness Tim Sherwood Gianfranco Zola Some of the better known Unemployed managers Personally would LOVE to see Glenn Hoddle have another crack at it.
