MHC Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Why has Pearson not been sacked yet? I'm getting very impatient. He has lost me now, I gave him a fair crack of it and he has failed me. I have read a lot of comments on here about giving Pearson the season and who would be better. The question is who could do worse for us in this league? I could name plenty of managers better then Pearson. Pulis, Sherwood, Laudrup, Villas-Boas to name four off the top of my head. I get a clear sense that there are many people who claim to support Leicester when in actual fact, they support the manager. I was a Leicester fan happy to trust Pearson in guiding us, now I'm a Leicester fan nervous that our manager doesn't appear to have a clue and I don't like it. Goodbye Nigel, thanks for the lower league success you brought to us but I am a Leicester fan with Premier League ambition levels and you just don't cut it.
Webbo Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 We need to get rid of players the are frankly not good enough for this level. Not necessarily get rid of the manager. We are crying out for better quality in the squad especially at right back, left back, attacking midfield and striker. If we had a better quality of player than De Laet, Konchesky, Nugent, Wood etc This is ridiculous. The reason we are losing at the moment is that we aren't playing football to the level that MOST of the squad are capable of. We don't need to toughen up, we need to play more intelligent football. We don't need Tony Pulis. We lost 3-2 against QPR playing hoof ball for 90 minutes. We need to get back to actually playing football. We didn't play hoof ball. we passed the ball quickly to Vardy behind their defence which caused plenty of chances.
MattGamble92 Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 I believe he can still keep us up and even if he doesn't I'd keep him. He would learn from this season and wed have a manager with previous experience of winning the league and a squad he knows very well. Its okay saying let's get in a manager to gamble at all costs to keep us up but if he doesn't then he will go too and we really will be back in the days of managerial circuses and oblivion
GingerrrFox Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 We didn't play hoof ball. we passed the ball quickly to Vardy behind their defence which caused plenty of chances. Once the game went to 1-1 it went from manipulating the ball down the channels to try and exploit space behind the defensive line with Vardy's pace, to lumping the ball forward at every opportunity aimlessly.
lestajigs Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 If we don't get a win from the next two games, I think he will be gone
Bettsj2 Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 James, King, Drinkwater, Ulloa, Vardy, Albrighton and De Laet are all on four year deals. Schlupp, Hamer and Moore are likely to stay IMO. The core of the squad would likely still be there if we go down. Having seen what happened in the transition from the 12/13 season to the 13/14 season while retaining the core of a squad who finished 6th, I think we have good reason to be optimistic of our chances were we to go down with Pearson. One of the reasons for the long deals were to keep the re-sale value (Pearson has said this in the past). I think we would definitely lose one of James or Drinkwater and I doubt Albrighton would stay. Obviously a number would remain but the point remains, rebuilding would be inevitable.
Manwell Pablo Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Time to stop being such a reactionary ****. I've got to say if were sat here in a weeks time with another two fixtures down and still no more points on the board the pressure is going to be on I'm afraid.

We are crying out for better quality in the squad especially at right back, left back, attacking midfield and striker. If we had a better quality of player than De Laet, Konchesky, Nugent, Wood etc Aren't we lumbered with them because of the manager though, all received new deals... and didn't we reject a bid from Wolves for Wood too? He wanted these players for this season, clearly. Weren't we desperate for recruitments in those positions all summer? All we seemed to be doing was bidding crazy money for Ulloa one week, Troy Deeney the next, then McGoldrick. Bang average strikers who aren't going to help, especially at that price.

What has Sherwood done in the several months he was given a job at one of the top sides in English football to suggest he's better than Pearson? This Pullis thing was always going to pop up for any struggling side because he worked wonders last season but what's the chances of him being able to do that again? And Villas Boas and Laudrup have both crumbled under pressure at their last jobs. Neither would come here either. Then grass isn't always greener. This thread looks so much like the one before Nigel turned it all around. Some of our fans are absolutely shameful and I'm embarassed to be associated with you at times. I'm off here for a while now because the witch hunt for Nigel that was laughably still going on even last season, is going to take over now
Happy Fox Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 F**K it lets go Oranje: Lets bring Frank De Boer in.

hesapeepingtom Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Can't be arsed, too many points to make why we are shit.i 'll do it in maths.championship players + championship players = championship team.look at the signings that were made and also who we didn't sign.mcgoldrick.pearson ****ed up massively with the summer recruitment and we are bottom on merit.this is becoming a 2nd season peter Taylor style catastrophe.

He is a better Premier League manager then Pearson. Pulis has never been relegated as a manager and he gets results, it might be ugly but at this point I don't care. Why would Villas-Boas or Laudrup not come here? Both better managers then Pearson undoubtedly. It can't get any worse. Why are you embarrassed by people who have more ambition then you? I don't get it. You are suffering from small club syndrome my friend. Supporting a club like Burton Albion or Peterborough may be more appealing to you.

I'm more convinced by my own argument. We don't have a bunch of mercenaries and as such I think a lot of them are likely to stay if we want them to. Certainly more than the previous relegated teams anyway.

"If we want them to" I'm not being funny but apart from Liam Moore I doubt any team in the premiership would want any of our players.

I think the pressure is on. But the board would be daft to make a change with a game coming up so quickly. Beyond that, and perhaps the weekend, I have to agree with you that it could be very hard to dismiss the argument that he's had his chance, if the results go against us. It's not over yet. Or, at least, I think it isn't.

MHC Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Villas Boas and Laudrup are terrible shouts, both employed at clubs paying more than us. How many UEFA cups and League cups has Pearson won? Terrible shouts? Have a word with yourself. They are both far superior to Pearson.
LCFCSOULBOY Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 When were the majority of the players on the pitch today signed? He signed the majority of them for the Championship and AFTER they had a season to adapt to the Championship, they went on to storm the league. Should we perhaps show the same patience this time. Absolutely no. In this league you can't wait to see what happens. You will be buried alive. No time to waste I'. afraid. Action needs to be take now. All this, we owe him (Pearson) time. What about us the fans. WE don't deserve nothing? I feel we are getting nothing from him but sliode remarks. When he proved wrong last week and played Mahrez finally. In one of his interviews he mentions the critism and throws out "Mahrez is not a winger" to the interviewer. To upstage the intervier. Arrogant fu.. needs a kicking.

As you've alluded to though, the point I was making is it's going to get to a different level if Liverpool and Villa come and go with 0 points. How many UEFA cups and League cups has Pearson won? Terrible shouts? Have a word with yourself. They are both far superior to Pearson. He's at Zenit St Petersberg you tool, so you have a word with yourself and get some football knowledge while your there.
