Leicester are not a hopeless case in the PL

lol it ain't easy..I'm just critiquing the piece. As with most, IMO there are some good points made, some points need elaborating on. It's the 'why' that needs looking at. But as you say, that's ultimately Pearson's job.

But we were making those sort of mistakes last season too, the difference is we are being ruthlessly punished for them this season. Last year we did miss chances, but we knew many more would come along. And we also made defensive mistakes too, but were let off by other teams lack of quality to capitalise.

Excellent article but i also believe Col response is also right. Were not good enough individually ( with the exception of Cambi ) or collectively. By now I'm certain Nigel knows it to. He's has a Team lacking experience at this level and not good quite enough to win but cannot do anything about it until January. If I were him I'd offload a number of players. Knockaert, Wood, Nugent and others and bring the quality we need in. It might mean taking fringe players from other Premiership sides or even borrowing them. Taking players from foreign leagues might be to much of a gamble. Simply because they usually need time to adjust which we don't have.

We need to stiffen the defence add quality to the midfield and someone who will score goals. Then I feel we'll win our share of games.

We are 80% playing well but the other 20% is full of mistakes and poor finishing, that's what costing us at the minute.

It's not over by any means, we just need a change of momentum. Problem is I can't see out next victory with the ganes coming up, particularly after Villa. We have wasted winnable games, partcularly at home in recent weeks.

Cmon Dan...only a few weeks ago you were saying we were clearly better than many other teams in the division. We had a conversation about it if I recall where I suggested you take it one game at a time, don't big us up too quickly, words to that effect.

Personally, and I hope I'm wrong, I thought the article was very positively slanted. We can't score enough goals and concede too many. That's the recipe for relegation. Of course, I'm meant to come on here, go with the flow, agree fully with the article and say 'superb'.. Personally, I thought we looked a very average side at this level and changes are needed.

I didn't see the game, but the BBC commentator, said we were poor, against a very ordinary Liverpool side, who deserved their win.

True or not? I don't know, but the article above, does seem a tad slanted.

I think the Villa game is massive. We are making costly errors which could be down to confidence and at the moment, I feel that we are lacking in that department. If we was to beat Villa, I think it would give the team and club a massive boost of confidence, which is really what we need going into the City game. Win against Villa and I think we would have the belief that we really could give City a go. Just like Everton/arsenal games.

Massive game for us on Sunday, 3 points would be huge.

Just seen last nights MOTD. Didi Hamann had it absolutely spot on..

No, we defended poorly, we went forward well and were on top in the game before gifting them a second. Then after the red card we were still well in the match until Kasper's error.

Mistakes are costing us because the attacking play in the last three had been much improved.

Apart from saying Gerrard had a "blatant" penalty denied, I'd probably agree.

If Nigel Pearson can change that trend, then this side will start picking up more points.

Really????

And if someone on the Titanic had seen the iceberg many lives would have been saved.

Good article but I dont see why Morgan has been blamed for the 2 goals. The first goal wasn't Morgans error. It was Konchesky. He was on lallana and when the ball was clipped back into the box Konchesky just stood still and ball watched. Morgan and Lambert went for it and the ball dropped to Lallana. He had moved forward and anticipated a loose ball. Kkonchesky was still standing in the same spot. It was Konchesky who allowed Lallana to pick up the loose ball unchallenged. The amount of space in that area of the box - it beggars belief why Konchesky didnt spot the obvious danger.

The second goal wasnt so much a clearance as an attempt to get anything on the cross. Unfortunately it was a trade mark Gerrard goal. The same type Lampard is known for. On the edge of the box waiting for a half chance.

Top-notch article, well-written and with lots of insight, putting the finger onto where it really hurts.

We're not far off surviving in this league, just need to bring down individual errors to a bare minimum and continue working hard going forward and coming across as a compact unit on the pitch.

The results have been harsh recently, but I have faith that this team, with a few decent additions in January, can go places and march up the table.

Doesn't quite work like that, Pearson has an opportunity to change things... the guy who didn't see the iceberg never had the opportunity to put things right...

If we lose today, I reckon we will need min 26 points from 23 games to survive. That's the equiv of having 17 points after today's fixture. Even though we've not had the rub of the green recently, can you say we've missed out on 7 obvious points - maybe just about but it's a stretch. Can't afford to lose today - mainly because that puts villa 9 points ahead of us.
