Mark_w Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 Maybe we shouldn't ask. If he says no then Sherwood And you think he's a better option than Pearson because...?
sylofox Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 When did I miss our owners saying they wanted Pulis next. Have they even sacked Nigel yet?
matty98 Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 Maybe we shouldn't ask. And you think he's a better option than Pearson because...? Did a good enough job at tottenham last season and has a good eye for youth talent
hesapeepingtom Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 lets be honest if any team could get relegated under pulis it would be us,we just love to break everyones hoodoo.
Neil_LCFC Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 Southampton sacked Adkins after back to back promotions and the fans were furious even tho they were struggling in the premiership.. They got in pochettino who no one had ever heard of who could hardly speak english and he kept them up. Ever since then they are on the up whilst Adkins has struggled. Pearson or even Pulis aren't the only options there are other managers about who would do a much better job than what is happening now we just need to pray we make the right choice. Saying that I would take Pulis over Pearson in a heart beat as he would at least make us organised and difficult to beat and make us a threat at set pieces. Either way we can't just carry on like this.
Grewks Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 Did a good enough job at tottenham last season and has a good eye for youth talent Isn't that the reason we are where we are at the minute? We need more experience not youth.
BlueSi13 Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 Did a good enough job at tottenham last season and has a good eye for youth talent Turned down WBA. Wouldn't come here. Next.
inckley fox Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 Did a good enough job at tottenham last season and has a good eye for youth talent You could take Tottenham out of that sentence, replace it with Leicester and apply it perfectly to Pearson. It's not clear that either of them are suited to turning round a side who are rock bottom of the PL in December.
Mark Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 If Pulis says no, rejoice. Although if we're considering such a backwards move, we've had it anyway.

Saying that I would take Pulis over Pearson in a heart beat as he would at least make us organised and difficult to beat and make us a threat at set pieces. Either way we can't just carry on like this. Wolve sacked Mccarthy after promotion and multiple seasons in the premier league and the fans were furious even tho they were struggling in the premiership. They got in his assistant, who no one outside of wolves had ever heard of who could hardly speak brummie and he got them relegated. Ever since then, they have been relegated to the third tier after back to back promotions. Pearson or even Pulis aren't the only options there are other manager about who despite having a worse record than the two mentioned, would magically do a much better job than what is happening right now, we just need to pray this guy ain't one of the advisers to the owners. Saying that I would take Pulis over Pearson given the fact that he would at least make us solid defensively and good as set pieces, which would be a miracle given the lack of natural height in the squad....Mahrez rising like a salmon every week to nod in from a Cambiasso long throw is just what we lack at the moment.
inckley fox Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 Isn't that the reason we are where we are at the minute? We need more experience not youth. Have you stopped to ask yourself how well our experienced players are performing at the moment? Konchesky, De Laet, Simpson, Albrighton, Nugent and Taylor-Fletcher are our most experienced men at this level and they're hardly making the difference. The same could have been said about our 'experience' in 2004, when we comfortably went down with Howey, Dabizas, Thatcher, Walker, Elliott, Sinclair, Izzet, Hignett, Scowcroft, McKinlay, Dickov, Ferdinand, Bent, Freund and Gillespie in the squad. On the other hand Mahrez continues to look like our biggest attacking threat, despite never having played at this level. And I'd argue that, in spite of some question marks over his last two games, James has done fine too. Schlupp, in spite of repeatedly being slated, has had his moments, and Ulloa is our top scorer. Our experience has turned out not to be good enough. Quality is what we need, and if it's experienced quality then great. If it's budding quality like, say, almost the entire side we went up with in 1996, then that can work too.
CPW22 Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 Laudrup I am not in the Pearson out camp but if the owners do act I'd like this appointment.
Grewks Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 I am not in the Pearson out camp but if the owners do act I'd like this appointment. Swansea is an easy side to manage... in fact they don't even need a manager, their owners are a credit to their club

That's why i said we have to make the right appointment next. If you get it wrong you go down as we did with Taylor and Charlton did after Curbishley. You can quote teams sacking and staying up aswell as sacking and going down. Swansea obviously know how to pick a manger as do Southampton the acid test comes now whether we do or not, Get it wrong go down but get it right and stay up it's quite simple. This is a real test of the chairman.
Leicesterpool Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 If he says no then Sherwood Sherwood did alright at Spurs in his short spell there but you after remember he'd been at Spurs for some years as a coach, he knew the players like the back of his hand and probably had there respect and for him easy to motivate. Would be able to achieve what he did at spurs at a fresh club?... who knows?

Would be able to achieve what he did at spurs at a fresh club?... who knows? Pearson has had a lot of these players for 3 years but cant seem to motivate them despite their love for him. I think professional players would get behind anyone if they could sense succesfull outcomes. Sherwood with Les Ferdinand as assistant would not be a bad option.

I think professional players would get behind anyone if they could sense succesfull outcomes. Sherwood with Les Ferdinand as assistant would not be a bad option. There is no lack of effort. Vardy is still running around for 90 minutes, but this season his quality is not at a level which makes him effective. Schlupp still looks half-arsed....but he did also last year. James is trying to take the game by the scruff of its neck, even more so than last year. Lack of effort is not a reason we are struggling.

The Blue Moon Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 Pulis would keep us up, not much doubt about that. But the football would be abysmal. Personally not to bothered what division Leicester are in, so I'm not too fussed.

AKCJ Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 Not entirely sure why people think going for the LMA Manager of the Season would be a bad choice. If we were to sack Nige then anyone within reason but him would be a downgrade.
