Ali Campbell Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 With all this talk of Pearson going, all I hear is PULIS PULIS PULIS. Why would the 2014 lma premier league manager of the year go to a team that is bottom. Why risk his stock and his much talked about reputation of "never being relegated" Suppose Pulis got Leicester relagated, all that hard work in reinventing himself at palace would be for nothing. In Pearson I trust

sdb Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 Massive risk sacking NP. Big chance a new man will come in, spend heavily, get us relegated and toss away some of our younger talent. NP is gonna take us down. But long term I still think he's a keeper.
st albans fox Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 Pullis would come now because we look like we are adrift, mentally and physically. If he doesn't turn it around, he won't get blamed. If we wait until we are 7 or ten points away from safety, he won't come.
DB11 Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 Hopefully he doesn't even get the chance to say yes or no. We should keep Pearson
The Horse's Mouth Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 You do realise that if Pearson was to leave, Pulis is not the only ****ing option right?
Grewks Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 Let's bring in a manager who actually has a worse managerial career record than pearson....
Webbo Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 Why has it got to be Pullis? Who'd heard of Pochettino before Southampton signed him?
shade Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 I think pearson will and does get it right, I just think he's slow to adapt to changing situations and circumstances, if he had everything in his arsenal he wouldn't be with us long.
ScouseFox Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 the much bigger concern would be if pulis said yes
One Legged Beaver Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 Can't think of any managers I'd actually want that I think we'd realistically get. Eddie Howe would be top of my list of managers we should get should Pearson get the sack, which I don't want him to. Can't see why Eddie Howe would want to leave Bournemouth though.
shade Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 Why has it got to be Pullis? Who'd heard of Pochettino before Southampton signed him? the same people who had heard of marco boogers.
cc_star Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 If Pulis was here then the load minority would moan like fvck about our style... And should he take us down idiots will still blame Pearson then we'd be stuck in the Championship playing hoof ball rather than trying to do the 'right' thing And anyone who says they wouldn't moan is a liar, people moan about Pearson in the best of times who's given is 2 playoffs and 2 promotions (the latter of which was in some style) so people would go hapeshit at someone who hasn't built up that fan 'loyalty' Joy of joys. Anyway, who knows... Going up, not spending any money and going back down pocketing the £120m might not be a hiccup in the owners longterm plan proving they retain a manager with a record of getting promotion again
VLC86 Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 Pulis will say no if he's not offered money, simple as. We also have a great chance of wrecking his record of 0 relegations. Don't hold your breath.

See this is the problem i have with sacking managers...... Howe was bang bloody average at Burnley, Gravel throat came into a squad, full of Howe signings.....and turned them into premier league players. With the exception of pulis, who i again will point out is no better than pearson, there is no one out there.
english77 Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 Why has it got to be Pullis? Who'd heard of Pochettino before Southampton signed him? Me
foxinsocks Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 I wouldn't invite Pullis .... and if we did I hope he would say no. IN reality even if the owners had lost patience with Nige they would publically support him while looking at options as if they couldn't find an new manager they would not want to have broken their relationship with NIge
RowlattsFox Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 I've got a bad feeling about Pulis, he's due a bad job soon and it will no doubt he with us. He takes us down and then we spend year on year sacking managers in hope one takes us up. It would a brave decision to stick by pearson even if pearson takes us down in the hope he brings us back stronger. Can't see that happening though.
Corky Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 If he says no then Sherwood That's the pashun fans desire on the touchline! Thowing his gilet around, inviting fans onto the bench, telling it like it is. Yeah!
