Freesolo Posted 23 December 2014 Posted 23 December 2014 Not exactly pretty but Claridge shinning the ball past Nigel Matyn in the 96 playoff finals dying seconds, still to find a goal to top that feeling
Gary Eatfood Posted 23 December 2014 Posted 23 December 2014 Phillpot and Mills missed? They did. It was a memorable game, I'm sure Walsh and Taggart were at each others throats for most of it but that goal was special.
Fox92 Posted 23 December 2014 Posted 23 December 2014 Izzet's overhead kick away at Grimsby. Best live goal I've ever seen.
iamafox Posted 23 December 2014 Posted 23 December 2014 From last season, Drinkwater's late equaliser against Watford or Knockaert's free kick in the league cup against Derby.
Guest ttfn Posted 23 December 2014 Posted 23 December 2014 Knockaert and Mahrez do something every 3 or 4 games which make me feel privileged to be watching them, especially when you consider some of the trundling oafs we've had on the wing for us. Mahrez' bit of skill in the Man City game a couple if weeks back after about 10 minutes was outrageous. I can't imagine Danny Tiatto or Momo Sylla pulling that off in their wildest dreams. But yeah Izzet's goal was just astonishing.
Guest Col city fan Posted 23 December 2014 Posted 23 December 2014 Izzet overhead at Grimsby. Just a sensational piece of play from a magnificent footballer. I was there that day and me and my mates couldn't quite believe it. Amazing goal
Guest Col city fan Posted 23 December 2014 Posted 23 December 2014 Amazing, glad to say I was there! Same here..we went mental
VLC86 Posted 23 December 2014 Posted 23 December 2014 I was there that day and me and my mates couldn't quite believe it. Amazing goal See this is why, regardless of where we are in the league or how we are performing, I have to go to every match that I physically can. Imagine if you had the chance to see something like that live and you didn't go. I am still waiting this season though
HEGGSY Posted 23 December 2014 Posted 23 December 2014 Dyer rocketing a top corner title winning goal last season at Bolton....with his right foot.
Buzzell Posted 23 December 2014 Posted 23 December 2014 Steve Howard's thumping header against Leeds.
Soar Fox Posted 23 December 2014 Posted 23 December 2014 Steve Claridges goal against Crystal Palace.
Cropwellfox Posted 23 December 2014 Posted 23 December 2014 Gerry throttling savage. In the same vein Walshy sparking Steve Bull out.
v6rat Posted 23 December 2014 Posted 23 December 2014 One for the goal keepers, Pegguy Arphexad one man display against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge even though we lost 1 - 0. On his debut as well I think.
Hollism Posted 23 December 2014 Posted 23 December 2014 I think Nalis' goal vs Leeds was the moment I fell in love with LCFC. My dad is only interested in football if Rooney is playing, and my mum knows sod all about football (doesn't stop her having an opinion on it, unfortunately), so my exposure to city was fairly limited until we ended up watching that game in a sports bar in Majorca 10 years ago. Knocky lays claim to beat ever brace. Both of those goals were magical.
LAprice_ Posted 23 December 2014 Posted 23 December 2014 same with knockaert at huddersfield, not often you see two genuine goal of the season contenders in the same game from the same player! And Jeff Bruma!!
Guest bss9401 Posted 23 December 2014 Posted 23 December 2014 I have always loved Julian's goal but for me it was simply Walsh's bundling the second in vs sheep.
Stadt Posted 23 December 2014 Posted 23 December 2014 Schmeichel leaping towards the back post was a great moment.
ThorpeAstleyFox Posted 23 December 2014 Posted 23 December 2014 I always love a goal in the dying seconds so I offer: Walsh v Arsenal Hignett v Arsenal Howard v Leeds When I was younger I remember Paul Fitzpatrick scoring an absolute screamer versus (I think) Bristol City.
