Bettsj2 Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 I doubt he'd stay even if we offered him a contract. He knows that even if we were promoted again he'd be back to being a back up squad member.
AS78UK Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 Think he could still be a big player for us again in either league. Just needs to knuckle down and be a team player when required. Will be gutted to loose him especially on a free.
MooseBreath Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 Such a shame that he seems to have regressed because he looked very promising when he first came. Makes me wonder about the quality of our coaching staff to be honest. Hope he finds a good home where his moderate flair is appreciated by fans and management alike.
Guest Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 Has too much of a personality for NFP Fc perhaps?
Danno Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 Has too much of a personality for NFP Fc perhaps?Yeah that's definitely the reason he's not been playing, because he has a personality.
Matt Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 Dependant on who was interested think I'd be looking to be offski, quite clear he's be useful this season but he ain't playing, he ain't getting the 'stepping stone' he deserves here.

Ric Flair Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 Him and Albrighton have shown recently they are up for the fight yet they've been dropped without trace again. I know all of our players can't play at the same time but to not even be on the bench is scandalous.

One of his downfalls as a manager. he's like a bird and seems to let arguments and disagreements linger for as long as possible.

I imagine he'd go into sulks that lasted weeks, give you one of those stares that goes right through you (and makes you feel like about four) and throw stuff at you in a argument. I wouldn't want to do the kiss and make-up bit with him either. I bet he's a bit rough, so to speak...

Just when I thought I had seen every possible post about Pearson on this site Col gives us the gift of his considered thought, right down to the bump and grind, as to what it would be like to have Nigel as his bitch. Marvellous stuff.
Finn Claw II Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 I think he's played alright in the minutes he's been on the pitch. He needs to play football, whether he stays or goes should be based around that. There must be an average\poor Ligue 1 team he can slot into.
whitwickfox Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 He may not be premiership standard but who is

narboroughblue Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 Real tricky one, I think he just lacks a yard of pace to play wide in the prem. can do a job in the championship but as mentioned would he be happy knowing that he will in all likelihood be reserve again if we did go down and come back up. Personally think he could play behind a front man but that would mean changing our style once again and trialing him is a big risk. Perhaps play that way in development squad and see how he does? Perhaps problem with that is if we go down we will likely go back to 4 4 2 so won't need that position then. Think I'm more confused now then when i started posting this.

cullenfox Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 Still think we should try and get him on a new contract. I like to see younger players on the team. And I think he has the potential to be a very good player, regardless of which division we're in.
Clever Fox Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 Decent player but not good enough for the premiership. I think his best position could be in the hole behind the forwards where he can thread a pass or beat a man with his trickery. But i don't believe he'll be allowed to leave.
Lesta2014 Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 Gary taylor-fletcher will get new contract though
Fosse93 Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 He's got another year on his contract according to Fifa 2015
STUHILL Posted 16 February 2015 Posted 16 February 2015 If we go down and he wants to stay, then deserves and extension. We know he can do the business in the Championship and we will always be able to sell him for ok money as he is still young and impressed a lot of people last season. Not good enough for Premiership and unlikely to ever make the big step up but he is learning and maturing and for what he loses in pace and strength, he has bundles of skill and is a good finisher. He has scored some scorchers for us! If we lose Mahrez, Knocky will be needed unless we can bring in a good replacement.

I find this 'hes not good enough for the premier league' a load of crap probably by Pearson fans desperate to justify his performance. How do you know, how many games has he had? Why has he not had more games when we have 11 players most weeks that are not good enough for the league? The last few game he played like Newcastle in the cup he played very well, but clearly Mr Grumpy has an issue with him (Not like he has a history of this is it) and has frozen him out, just like Albrighton and GTF (Why give him a new contract?)
