Will this Chelsea game hurry up and get re-arranged

Been weeks now. They should surely have provisionally arranged for 7th March in event of us getting knocked out v Villa. Too late for that date now with Police etc?

Spurs have done that with their fixture ( v qpr)

I wonder if we are waiting till late in the season in the hope that they will have nothing riding on the fixture and may not be that bothered

I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with us.

With Chelsea likely to have a very congested fixture list later in the season, I wouldn't think they would be the cause of any blockage.

Can only imagine it's police or possibly confirming a kick off time with Sky if they still want to show it.

More like we will have nothing riding on it

I don't know how close it has to be for the Police to confirm it etc. Weekend 6th/7th looks to close now but it'd be better than a midweek game, for all parties, surely?

It's because it is a TV game, Sky can't show it if 7th/8th March due to FA cup. Looks very highly likely will be 7th or 8th April which is next free midweek with no champs league or FA cup replay or Internationals. I also asked Jim at the club if it could be 7th March and he stated similar regarding TV rather than Police issue

Are Sky actually not allowed to show premier league games on a cup weekend or they just don't want to?

With Chelsea playing on the Wednesday rather than the Tuesday the following week the Sunday early kick off slot is completely free as united arsenal is on the Monday night.

Does that mean they do everything in their power to show it on TV because they originally selected it? Never knew they did that.

Well that's not right. Sky have shown FL matches on the same day as the FA Cup final so there's no protection for the competition from other games. The main issue it seems is that Chelsea have a UCL game in the midweek and there might be negotiations on when to play the match over that weekend. I doubt Jose would want 4pm on Sunday even if it is a Wednesday.

12:45pm, competing with Bradford-Reading, or the original 5:30pm slot could be doable. I guess it's down to Sky to decide if they want to show the match over that weekend and compete with the FA Cup matches and for Chelsea to agree whether they want to do it that weekend.

Either way it'd be nice to actually know. If it was the 7 March then that's only two weeks away.
