Really stupid article in The Athletic matching NFL teams to football teams. I don't know why I'm such a glutton for punishment that I clicked the link and scrolled down to Leicester, but I did...

Only one response to that:

A team on the up. Decent coach and hopefully a good qb. We'll be a play off team next season again.

Leicester play offs in the championship.

Going to the Bronco’s Jets game at Spurs in October.

I like to watch the NFL casually but had no real interest in going to a game  unless it involved the Jets (once read a book on the 68/69 Jets and Joe Namath and decided there and then that a lifetime of suffering with Leicester City wasn’t enough and the Jets were the team for me!!

Didn’t get a ticket last year (forgot they were on sale Doh!) . Got in the queue 30 minutes early today, 190,000 in the queue WTF!!

Stayed with it eventually got to the front after 4 hours…..and there were loads left… Catergory 8 ‘Cheap Seats’ all gone and Category 7 seats starting at £130 plus £13 fees WTF x 2!!

No option to pay in 3, eventually pulled the trigger on a mid level end zone Cat 7 ticket doing my own pay in 2 by putting it on my Credit Card and paying it half off now, half next month.

Still plenty of tickets left and no doubt they will sell out but I think they have reached a level which a lot of people aren’t willing to pay.

Wembley is better. Albeit Spurs is good for the experience of visiting that stadium if you haven't before (it is spectacular). But Spurs is an absolute pain to get out of, let alone on a Sunday!

Wembley has loads of stuff around it to go to before and after to avoid the footfall and busy stations...

Same here join the queue at 23,000 with only cat 7 remaining. Funny how the cheaper seats were on resale sites just after 12.

Looking forward to the game. Go Broncos

My mate, who has had a season ticket for the Wembley games since pre-COVID, has just messaged me saying they've done away wight STs so 'new and returning fans can have the chance to attend games'.

Basically they know they can get more money out of fans other than STs.

£80ish for the cheapest ticket.

Last year it was £60 I think and that was the cheapest category. So 33% increase. Obscene.

I’ve had a season ticket for both stadiums for years now and it’s became a joke this year.

Removed season tickets for both stadiums, jumped up the prices by up to 35% in some areas and now we are getting less teams than normal.

Looked back at my Spurs season ticket from 3 years ago and it would have been the same price as 1 ticket this year.

Its a ****ing disgrace and good to see it’s not sold out as of yet

The price increases the last 2 years have been mental. It’s shown as the games normally sell out on the day, still plenty available.

Anyone watched season 2 of Quarterback yet?

Yep, loved it.

Probably preferred it to season 1 because I found Jared Goff much more interesting than Marcus Mariota.

Joe Burrow intrigued me this time around (although can't say I like the guy much)

It's a great insight into their lives. Can't help but like good old all American boy Kirk Cousins. Absolutely living the dream.

And Jared Goff's wife, wow.

These boy earn outrageous money but I can't think of another sport where there's so much pressure, expectation, and reliance on one position.

The amount of plays they have to memorize is staggering. You'll love it.

Still waiting for the official Sky announcement, but some UK TV confirmations:

Channel 5 to show two games a week, one on 5, one on 5Action. Includes Thanksgiving and playoff games as well as the Superbowl

Reading this, it sounds like the kind of shite idea for a TV programme that Alan Partridge would come up...

https://www.nfl.com/news/5-partner-with-the-nfl-on-groundbreaking-free-to-air-uk-broadcast-agreement

NFL coverage on 5 will kick off at 5:30pm on game nights, hosted by Dermot O'Leary, with Sam Quek and double-Super Bowl winner Osi Umenyiora. 5 is partnering with leading entertainment producer, Hungry Bear Media, on a new play-along entertainment format which will air around the 6pm games, designed to appeal to a Sunday early-evening family audience.

'NFL: Big Game Night' is a completely new way to enjoy watching the greatest show on turf. Each week, Dermot will be joined by Sam and Osi in a purpose-built studio for an entertainment format that runs alongside the big NFL Game of the Week at 6pm on 5.

Whenever the NFL game stops in the US, 5 will keep going with the fun and games – in the form of the unique 'game within a game'. Two teams of friends and family in the UK will battle for prizes in a series of games that are fast, furious and fun. They will be representing the two teams playing that night and can only score points when their team has the ball – so they'd better hope their team doesn't fumble in the Big Game, or the other team could snatch up their chance to win.

The winning team on the night will play one final game where they have the chance to win a holiday to an NFL city in the United States.

From Hungry Bear Media – the team behind Michael McIntyre's The Wheel and Big Show and Gladiators – 'NFL: Big Game Night' is a riotous, family-friendly mix of world class sport and world class entertainment.

The Dallas Cowboys have traded star edge rusher Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers, the Cowboys announced on Thursday.

In exchange, Dallas will receive Pro Bowl defensive tackle Kenny Clark and first-round draft picks in 2026 and 2027 from Green Bay.

Sky have now announced their deal - three years. Extra games at 6/9pm, Thanksgiving games, all playoff games and TNF/SNF/MNF (RedZone also included)

Just to say as someone who follows NCAA way closer than NFL the DAZN deal is absolutely tremendous.

Great to see Sky have renewed, I think their NFL coverage is on the whole really good, big fan of Neil and they always manage a good blend of analysis and entertainment in the studio as well. Then you throw in RedZone.

Don't think Sky have renewed any of their NCAA stuff this year, which is a shame. Have signed up for the DAZN as it's free for now, although they're not showing Texas @ Ohio State on Saturday which sucks, will have to revert to other methods for that one. Done a bit of Googling and seems they won't have anything from the Big 10.

As a Vikings fan ecstatic to see the back of Kenny Clark who always seemed to kill us, less enthusiastic about having to face Micah Parson twice a year though!

On the front of sky renewing now I'm not sure what the best option regarding watching is do I just stick with Sky or go with Sky and gamepass too?

Loving it so far, only managed to watch a couple of episodes at the moment though.

Not sure if you're old enough to remember the Cowboys team of the early 90's but there's another great documentary on Netflix about them. Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith, Michael Irvin and all that lot - superb.

Also watching another Netflix doc on the SEC college season. I went to the Masters golf with my old man in April and we stayed in Columbia. We went to the South Carolina Gamecocks stadium to look around but it was all closed up.

Can't believe these college coaches earn up to $10m a year. I didn't realise what a massive industry college football is.
