Dyche would've kept 2022/23 Europa squad up
Dyche would've easily got 2023/24 promotion with our partially Europe squad
Dyche would've made a lot better fist of getting 2024/25 to 40pts, wouldn't have made so many disastrous non-contributing signings either and could've got over Spurs' 39pts
The game hasn't moved on from doing the basics right, and when you attack it's best to attack before defences get 'set' with a Pearson/Ranieri/Rodgers 4 or 5 passes up the pitch, instead of 30 passes from DM to CB and back again
52:48
The cursed percentage. Cool
There are some downsides to Dyche, but he'd leave us in a better place than he finds us
A not bad record of playing youth among experienced players and a solid Championship promotion record
Doesn't seem to suffer fools gladly either
Kind of a bit of everything our squad needs at the minute
4-1-4-1 became easily combatted
Opposition just swarm that single pivot, whether he wins the ball or receives it from defence
Makes anything other than long ball under pressure almost impossible, long ball under pressure is basically gifting them the ball
If there's 2 players there, then it alleviates the issue somewhat
Winks, Ndidi, Soumare, Baybrooke & Skipp
Can't see it, maybe we could progress it if Soumare is lined up for a sale, but we've struggled to get rid before, last thing we need is still to be paying half his wages while his contract winds down
Great signing video
Ps. The Mercians are an unsigned Leicester band
They've got a gig at the o2 Academy Leicester in November, on a Saturday night
They've sold about 500 tickets out of 1,600 so far https://linktr.ee/themercians
What's to gain by doing it now?
Seems like the most counter-productive thing in these last couple of weeks of the season where promotion is the only thing that can be impacted (either positively or negatively)
People will always have a go at perceived lack of effort by players or by a manager repeating tactics that hadn't really worked for 3 months
If we've turned the corner as it appears, then attention will turn to board when the impact is decided
There's no easy games now
Unless you're playing mid-table sides on the beach
Brum, Millwall & Plymouth - All easy on paper, all fighting relegation and be very difficult to beat at this time of season
Anyone who thinks playing a side fighting against relegation in the final few games of season is easy hasn't watched much football, (or anything other than us last season)
Not harsh at all. Even not comparing him to the great RP, he's a bad player.
Just not good enough for a top 6 championship side IMO
However there needs to be a reckoning with the average wage at 90k/week
We can't have people making the numbers up, that job falls to the U-23s
The usual suspects need managing - Vardy, Ndidi, Ricardo
Fatawu may benefit from a rest
But we HAVE to win, play the best available team & when the next game comes around we'll play the best available team for that one too
Yes, Ndidi looks unfit given he's not played for months but those thru-balls were massively over hit, almost like clearances
Fats constantly cutting-in is our biggest source of possession turnover
Cutting-in wingers without overlapping fullbacks is odd tactic IMO (moreso when you don't mix it up). When you cut-in, you have the opposition fullback, winger, DM & CB all to beat
