davieG Posted 17 April 2014 Share Posted 17 April 2014 Leicester City are rumoured to be lining up a a double swoop for Leeds United duo Ross McCormack and Sam Byram. The Foxes have already confirmed their promotion to the Premier League and chief scout Steve Walsh has confirmed that the club have started looking at potential additions to the squad that has done so well in the Championship this season. McCormack, 27, is currently the top scorer in the Championship with 27 goals and his outstanding form has been attracting interest from Premier League clubs such as West Ham. Leicester are the latest side join the race to secure the Scotsman‘s signature and will face a fight from a variety of clubs, including Leeds who are likely to offer the striker a new contract. As well as McCormack, Leicester are also reportedly joining the selection of clubs interested in Sam Byram, also of Leeds. The defender, 20, has made 70 appearances for United since breaking into the first team setup in 2012 and has been catching the eye of a number of clubs, most notably Premier League overacheivers Southampton. Byram started his career at Elland Road and is known to have a good relationship with the Leeds supporters, but the prospect of playing football at a higher level could be too much to resist for the youngster. Leicester boss Nigel Pearson is renowned for his policy of not signing ‘big names‘ and Byram and McCormack seem like ideal candidates to fill the gaps to make an already strong squad stronger. http://footballleagueworld.com/2014/04/17/leicester-eye-swoop-for-leeds-duo/? ousefox Posted 17 April 2014 Share Posted 17 April 2014 Sure I've mentioned it a hundred times but I used to play with him and he was on a completely different level to everyone. Always thought he would play for England. Would be weird seeing him play for us.

Can'tCookDon'tCare Posted 17 April 2014 Share Posted 17 April 2014 He's a good player but I'd rather have have RDL and he would cost too much to be just a back up.
Bayfox Posted 17 April 2014 Share Posted 17 April 2014 I'd be staggered if we managed to get byram with so many other clubs looking at him. As for ross. No thanks.

Stadt Posted 17 April 2014 Share Posted 17 April 2014 They'd want £5m+, he's no better than RDL atm.
Ric Flair Posted 19 April 2014 Share Posted 19 April 2014 Bryam will be mustard, just not convinced he'd do the job with us. Tempter though
Tielemans63 Posted 19 April 2014 Share Posted 19 April 2014 Bags of potential. One of my best mates is a Leeds fan and absolutely loves this kid. I hope we sign them just so we take both of Leeds best players.
Buzzell Posted 19 April 2014 Share Posted 19 April 2014 Would love him here. Can imagine he would require a big transfer fee plus he will no doubt be on the radar of bigger clubs.
Stadt Posted 19 April 2014 Share Posted 19 April 2014 We need a LB more than a RB, so I can't see much in this.
