Tevez Posted 14 January 2008 Posted 14 January 2008 Sorry mate, but time to go Mattock. Edit: the bidders were Aston Villa. 1.5
shen Posted 14 January 2008 Posted 14 January 2008 It was Newcastle......I know for a fact they offered well over a milion But he has already been sold to someone next year.....The deal is done!! Sounds very unlikely
Jonezy Posted 14 January 2008 Posted 14 January 2008 Nah it was Bolton with 2,5M. Megson raves about Mattock..... Christ.....
samuel Posted 14 January 2008 Posted 14 January 2008 It was Newcastle, they have already sold him though , so next year he has gone.... My source?.....His dad!!!

MPH Posted 14 January 2008 Posted 14 January 2008 I think the interesting wording is ' a substantial seven figure offer' That to me suggests more than 1m. He is definately one for the future but goodness me... if someone is willing to pay 2m for him, take it.
samuel Posted 14 January 2008 Posted 14 January 2008 Tools!!!!... I know the kid, i know his dad....He lives at his dad's in a garage conversion, the boy is not ready to leave yet but he has gone.....trust me!!!
MPH Posted 14 January 2008 Posted 14 January 2008 Anyone think his development will be hindered by this decision? We could always sell him and have him loaned back to us! just as long as we get the money now
Mark Posted 14 January 2008 Posted 14 January 2008 I think the interesting wording is ' a substantial seven figure offer'That to me suggests more than 1m. He is definately one for the future but goodness me... if someone is willing to pay 2m for him, take it. Gareth Bale went for a fee that could rise to £10 million. Mattock should stay put and so long as he progresses like he is doing he'll be worth at least half of that, surely. Thank god we are showing no intention of selling our best assets for cut down prices and paying of the rubbish instead, refreshing change.
Raj Posted 14 January 2008 Posted 14 January 2008 Tools!!!!...I know the kid, i know his dad....He lives at his dad's in a garage conversion, the boy is not ready to leave yet but he has gone.....trust me!!! Okay. if you know him so well What his address?
Nod.E Posted 14 January 2008 Posted 14 January 2008 How about "Prawn Cock" for Alan Maybury. "Micah Chicken" (Roast Chicken) For Micah Richards
Fox You Forest Posted 15 January 2008 Posted 15 January 2008 Okay.if you know him so well What his address? If we want him to stay the last thing we need is you stalking him.
sham Posted 15 January 2008 Posted 15 January 2008 WEST HAM are closing in on Ipswich’s teenage star Danny Haynes. Upton Park boss Alan Curbishley last night had a £1.5million offer turned down by the Championship outfit. The Hammers are willing to go to £3m for the winger, 19. But Tractor Boys chief Jim Magilton insisted: “Danny is not going anywhere.” Curbs has also had a £1.5m bid for Leicester defender Joe Mattock, 18, rejected by Foxes chairman Milan Mandaric. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport...ticle636435.ece SHAM

Babylon Posted 15 January 2008 Posted 15 January 2008 Mattock doesn't live with his parents, he lives with his male godparent. And he doesn't want to leave at the moment... factamundo.
Uncle Albert Posted 15 January 2008 Posted 15 January 2008 I think Joe Mattock is suffering from stress at the moment anyway, so if we see a sudden drop in form this is the reason why. Joe has recently failed his driving test.
MikeyT Posted 15 January 2008 Posted 15 January 2008 Try here Whenever i go on a link from the Sun, all my pages close and i have to re-open them again! WTF??? So i still cant read it!
davieG Posted 15 January 2008 Posted 15 January 2008 Leicester reject West Ham offer for Mattock tribalfootball.com - January 15, 2008 West Ham United have made an offer for Leicester City left-back Joe Mattock. The Sun says the Hammers had a £1.5 million bid for the England U21 international rejected.
Geo V Posted 15 January 2008 Posted 15 January 2008 I hate losing players who you realize may one day come back to haunt you and Mattock being sold at this stage will be one of those instances IMO. He is too young to go and warm some Premiership sides bench and he still has plenty to learn so its best we keep hold of him unless we get some obscene amount of course. I suppose everyone has a price but I wouldn't like him to go for anything less than £3m, even at this stage of his embryonic career.
