Thracian Posted 15 April 2008 Posted 15 April 2008 In all fairness, we couldn't see Barnsley winning twice in a week away from home, especially after just one away win all season before that.Barnsley looked tired to me, hopefully we can take advantage of that. Exactly what I mentioned to a friend tonight - at least it's a chink of light in the gathering gloom.

Heath, who is currently on loan at Colchester United from Leeds United, told the Leicester Mercury that he wanted to help out his childhood club - by beating the Sky Blues this Saturday. Heath, who played 60 times for Leicester after graduating through their Academy, pledged to do his bit to help City's relegation battle when Colchester play Coventry City on Saturday. Heath said: "We will do our best to beat Coventry for you next weekend." But he added that Leicester are not too big to get relegated. He added: ""Leicester are not too big to go down. We said that with Leeds last season in the same position but it happens. It happened to Manchester City a few years ago as well. "I joined Leeds around December time and everyone said we were too big to go down. It shouldn't have happened but it did. "Leicester are a big club and they shouldn't be going down, but any team can go down and that has been proved in the past."

I think Cov will be alright, they will treat Colchester a lot better than what we did and probably get at least a draw. Then they have Wolves at home in which they always do well against.
Corky Posted 16 April 2008 Posted 16 April 2008 Thanks a lot Heathy Coventry will struggle against Colchester, they have nothing but pride to play for and the players are playing for their future, so hopefully Col U will get the win. It is so tight down there, but I would feel more comfortable if we were out of the bottom three at the moment. You have a different mind-set then.

Leicester travel to Barnsley on Saturday before the Owls visit the Walkers Stadium the following weekend in the Championship's penultimate round of matches. Holloway said: "We are the ones who can do something about our own position. It is about what we do and if we get our games right we won't go down. "Sheffield Wednesday had a game in hand and we couldn't do anything about that. Some of the teams around us still have to play each other so they both can't get three points. "There is a lot of football to be played. We have Sheffield Wednesday at home and, with our gates, you wouldn't want to be them." I'm sorry Ollie but gates don't win you games, maybe that's where you've been going wrong - just in case you need reminding it's the team on the pitch that wins, loses or draws games you know the one you're responsible for!

maddog Posted 17 April 2008 Posted 17 April 2008 A win is obviously crucial at Barnsley. We are guranteed to be either 1 point or 2 points clear of the drop zone if we win. If we lose we are guranteed to be in the drop zone still, a draw could get us out of it on goal difference at best. A win is crucial, we will 100% be out of the drop zone with a win.

This is the absolute worst time it could happen to us too. Deon Burton, Graham Kavanagh, Steve Watson, Wade Small and Richard Hinds all doubts.
