We were a toxic club to be around last season. A culture created by the miscommunication between the board and manager and then the manager slamming the board for not giving him funds to invest which undermined the squad. This led to a real confidence crisis within our squad last season and it felt that it was most apparent at the back where we looked nervous all season. The new management has turned it around this season and look what a difference it has made so far.

The tactics we use starve the opposition of the ball and therefore they tire over the game and even when they have it can't do much with it. It's no coincidence this team scores so many late goals and concedes very few.
-
Our demise coincided with the change of shirt sponsor. It was never about tactics, management or performances. We just needed to get King Power back on the shirts.

I was actually bored by how big the gulf in quality was between the two sides. They looked pathetic and were very average...easily the worst side I think I've ever seen us play

Possession is night tenths of the law

Agreed but we miss our fair share of sitters in every single game too. With our style of play we're vulnerable to the counter if the opposition beat our press.

Might be tough to go back in time mate, unless you're Marty Mcfly?

Interesting to those who say you can't pass your way out of the Championship and have to be more direct.

We're already a PL team with the squad we have and I reckon it would finish lower mid table. We'll need to strengthen if we get promoted and therefore it's hard to say.

10 League Games in - How Would you Rate the Season?

Really good. Feels like our hardest opponent this season will be our own complacency!! -
Must win 😂

How are we getting on, compared to previous Championship winners.

No but because of them getting Neves and Nuno they hyped them up massively. Saying that Kasper, Vardy and Mahrez were still unknown in 2013/14! -

Great post. The scary thing is that the players are still adapting to the system and will only get better. We could potentially break all records this season and I'd love for us to beat Reading's points tally along the way. We got 102 in 13/14 which was incredible too. -
You can't teach the finish or shit housery from Vardy. Brilliant!!
-
He's a link player and he was better with Maddison and Barnes in the team as they were good at the give and go. Now his game is stifled as we haven't got those players in the team anymore so he looks isolated in our current set up.
-
He did well and with Wilf turning into a box to box midfielder, we're going to need someone like him in our squad that always puts in a 7 out of 10. I don't think he's ever let us down when he's come in either.
-
We've ridden our luck but we're competing well with one of the best clubs in Europe. We look so good on the ball it's incredible.
-
His composure is incredible for someone his age. What an academy we have!!
-
Some player we've found here. Do we have an option to buy??
-
If we had him over Tielemans last season we'd have been safe imo. I also like his game management and being cynical to stop dangerous counter attacks.
-
We wouldn't have won the league without the foundations put in place by Pearson but I don't think we would have won the league with him in charge that season. He was a pragmatic manager but Claudio gave Mahrez free license and put Vardy up top and was excellent at keeping the momentum going all season.
-
Great prospect, makes really good runs and has a good composure for someone his age.
-
I think we've got an exceptional keeper on our hands here. Distribution, shot stopping and positioning seems to be top class. Hopefully we can keep him here for a long time.

Football is about entertainment and no one likes losing but I'll always prefer to see us compete against the best. As much as I'm enjoying it this season, some of the standard of football from opposition teams has been shocking to be kind. It's something that I do miss is the competitiveness of the PL - feel like a win in the prem is ten times more satisfying.
