I actually think our likelihood of losing games will go down the longer the season goes on as we get more aligned to the Maresca way of playing. We probably will lose games but I think our performance levels will only get better assuming we keep our key players fit. Winks, Ricardo, Dewsbury Hall, Faes, Vestergard and Hermansan are irreplaceable in this system over a longer period of games.

I like that Ipswich are keeping pace with us. Gives us a reason to keep winning.

Disagree. We were off the pace tonight and made it end to end, and you have to give them credit for having a go. But we could have easily scored 5 or 6 despite playing relatively poorly, which tells you all you need to know.

Yes it sounds virtually impossible but even at 50% we're better than most teams in this league without sounding cocky. We may inevitably lose games but at the moment I see us keeping this up for a long while yet.

Totally agree but you look at the number of big clubs that have struggled in this league after relegation and we're absolutely bossing it so far and making it look like a walk in the park. Man City the season they got 100 points were incredible and despite it being a different league, if we use that yardstick and we get more than 122 points then we've done better.

Man City won the title with 100 points over a 38 game season. To better that average we'd need to get to 122 points in total, which is an average of 2.6 points per game from the remaining 34 games. Don't want to look too far ahead but imagine we better that?

We all know how it's going to go. They'll sit deep and try to hit us on the counter but our defence should be good enough to mop the ball back and keep going on the front foot. I just don't see us getting beat by anyone who plays this way this season.

The other thing as well is that we didn't look overly fluid the first few games but we seem to have got into a rhythm. You would think our results should naturally get better the further we go into the season.

Didn't realise that. We need 21 wins out of 35 games to best that record which on current form looks more than achievable.

Agreed but it was blatantly obvious over last summer where even the media picked up on it and talked us down massively. Rodgers really did make out like he was a victim and his body language was abysmal for the position we were in.
