My best and worst points were in Egypt. The hotel served some local beer called Four Star (ominously unambitious), it tasted like special brew but was something like 3%. Per capita it's worse than almost all of those. Pub drinkers are overwhelmingly white British and Leicester's is 33% WB, plus the university drinking scene is pretty dead in town.

I think I went once before going to a rider's game but you have to go further out of town before coming back in. It's shame but it's apparent pubs in Leicester need to dovetail with each other, being out on their own is no good. I'm always surprised the Royal Oak lasts.

I think there is but it's not active. Something I like especially about FC is that it's mostly apolitical. The athletic, football weekly, etc all converge on the same worldview and it's pretty boring (to me).
