See, everyone's memory is shit Getting confused with Ulloa's two late goals, the one at Norwich and the pen vs West Ham.

Great news. Gutted I won't be there for it. It is interesting that this is confirmed in the days following a Merc article explaining that fans had put money into this and that the club were the issue...

Agreed. That said, I don't think he is a million miles off the specifics - he is probably referring to our 5 game streak of 1-0 wins (we all remember the Norwich game and how big that late pen was) and has thrown out a comment about an own goal out of nowhere. It doesn't mean the narrative is accurate but I think people are taking a throwaway comment a little too seriously.

You are stronger than you think you are Deb. Sending love.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-68814016 Coral bleaching - Fourth global mass stress underway. Worrying stuff.

Would've been great to give him a tifo against one of his favourite oppos. Will be a huge shame f this doesn't happen because of the club playing silly buggers.

I watched a film with Jake Gyllenhaal called Ambulance the other day. I really like him and he delivered a characteristically nuts bank robber in this but the plot was cack. I was just about entertained - if you like mindless action films maybe it's more your thing but I wouldn't recommend it. 5/10.

Really interesting and insightful.

I don't think there's any chance at all he leaves if we go up. We all know about the money problems but it would be a really strange move for him to walk away after getting us promoted, and there's no way in hell the club are binning him off if we go up. When was the last time a manager in the top division walked away on a high? Klopp is doing it but he is the exception and is leaving as an all time club great. Football managers don't just walk away.

Love the use of 3 dimensional as if that is somehow unique and specifically relevant to this.

Khruangbin in Manchester in November. Looking forward to it.

He doesn't have a contract and there's been no mention of an extension discussion - they are putting 2 and 2 together and getting 4. It's not news is it?

I drink Rooibos day to day, no milk. Occasionally I'll have a green tea, lemon & ginger or chai.

Shame he's not had a bit more game time but he was always going to be one for the future with Vards and Kel out of contract at the end of this year. He was never that likely to be leading the line for an extended period imo. Not sure why anyone would suggest buying him was a waste of money - when our transfer strategy was being lauded, it was because we were being proactive about buying younger players with the anticipation they would come into their role in a season or so into their time with us when we sold someone else.
-
I think a lot of people love to trot those lines out when we aren't doing well but I think it's pretty rare players don't give a shit or aren't actually putting in the effort. There are levels to effort and intensity obviously but I think more often than not its wider issues around confidence and messages from the manager.

Kicking from same spot, but the rest of the kicking team are on the receiving teams 40. Receiving team lined up on their own 30 with returner behind - No moving from those lines until the ball is caught more or less. Borrowed from the XFL... If the ball gets booted through the end zone the receiving team starts on the 30 I think. It's all incentivising returning the ball rather than the snorefest of last season with all the touchbacks.

Can't wait to see the new kickoff in action, it's gonna be mayhem watching them all trying to figure out the best approach early doors.

Had a fair few yesterday at Wirral Beer Festival at Port Sunlight. Lovely day for it. Ananas Paradise (pineapple sour) and a Creme Bearlee (caramel stout) the highlights.

Watched Nine Days on Netflix last night. Really interesting concept - someone granting people the opportunity to live. Would recommend. 7.5/10.
