I think so. Normally I would get quite annoyed with those people who don’t take the cup competitions seriously. Trophies are rare and precious moments in our history. This season, however, I’m totally focussed on the league. I think partly because our relegation was so pointless and unavoidable. That’s not to say that I’ve quite liked seeing how the squad players perform in the FA Cup and that it wouldn’t be nice to win it by accident

We have so much more control with Jannik playing and Wilf is a big player for us. I’m hoping that those two will give us the fillip we need to start playing again. Our 3 losses in a row have ensured that every game will be watched with clenched buttock cheeks in the run in. This game will be no different

It's Ndidi who may be back next week not ......

Who cares as long as they get us back to the Premiership -
He is what he is a young talent, but quite erratic. Not sure why him or Mavididi weren’t hooked today against QPR. Albrighton is limited, but at least you know what he’ll give you and that’s sometimes what you need when you’re chasing a game. Poor today but, worryingly, SM was no better. I still like him, but he’s a long way from the finished article and that’s no criticism at such a young age

I’m a big JJ fan, but he was truly awful today. A lot of attacks broke down through him

It does feel like it needs something just a bit different. We’re suddenly showing a worrying lack of creativity. -

So no Vesty, Ricardo, Ndidi? Anyone else? I think we need to change it around a bit. Start Vardy or Cannon Coady in for Nelson I’d even be tempted for a bit of Albrighton for Mavs or Fatawu In a poor run you are just looking for players who you know will put a shift in. We need leadership and experience at this point. Hopefully Vesty back and Ndidi back soon could be critical after this. -
Irrelevant!!

My worry is that there is no Plan B. Against Boro and QPR when we needed to chase the game we had nothing. Same shape, same style, same formation and no creativity. We seem ok when we’re bossing matches, but devoid of ideas when a team gets ahead and sits in to defend. We could have made these last eleven games easy for ourselves, but now it’s going to be buttocks clenched all the way in.

Well. Didn’t think that would be possible with 10 men, but well done Uds. Hopefully we’ll make it count!

I called it some time ago I’ve always considered Ndidi to be more of a midfielder than a pocket! -
3 games from an FA Cup win for only the 2nd time in our history? Do we think the league has now become a distraction?

Ahead of yourself? I think you’ve just lapped yourself there!

I’m not sure that Messi’s achievements have been that great in theoretical physics though

Yes … Rab Douglas and Zeljko Kalac were particular highlights
