"Blinkered intent" Half of what Peter the Poet comes out with makes no ****ing sense whatsoever

How does this team do in the Championship?

Enzo must be skating on thin ice. It's a weird one as I like him, and hope he has a great career in management, but I just love to see Chelsea failing. Gives me a tiny bit of happiness in this otherwise disastrous season.

Speaking of DVDM, I thought he was very good today, but Jamie Ritchie should have been MotM, in my opinion. I thought he was absolutely brilliant.

I think you've just answered your own question there, mate
-
That was a very fortunate win. Scotland will be kicking themselves. They should have been clear by HT.

England are so grindingly predictable

Says it all about the current administration at the club that we replaced a terrible manager with an even worse one. Another Top / Rudkin / Whelan masterclass.
-
I can't see how he can continue. Unless, of course, we literally can't afford to sack him.
-
Didn't bother watching it. Best result in a while.

Yeah, I'm really excited for it mate. We're stretching a bit, but hopefully it will be well worth it. It's a lovely, peaceful place, (it seems) so looking forward to it.

Bought a house in Foxton, and moving there at the start of March. Looking forward to being back in the world's finest shire after living in Northants for the past 18 years. Just a few yards from the canalside. Can't wait!

Atletico would be an odd move. He'd surely break trying to fit into their uber gegenpress. Can't see him being able to live with the intensity Simeone's system.

It has been for a while. I haven't thought all season that we were good enough to stay up. The home defeat to Wolves was the moment it became inevitable for me. I know it's never about one single moment, but that defeat to Wolves, and the nature of the performance that day, was when it was abundantly clear we don't have the quality or the mentality to survive.

Going against the grain here, I think VK is okay - nothing more, nothing less. I can see him being a handful for Championship defences if we decide to keep hold of him. My frustration is that he's a decent player who works hard, but he does switch off far too often, and that's obviously costly in the prem. I think IF he could work with a decent coach who can help him eradicate that from his game, then we might have a good player on our hands. Unlike BDCR, Ayew etc at least VK is young enough to improve rather than being clearly on the slide.

Even when we're good, we're still shit -
How long have we been on a downward trajectory?

That match away at Bournemouth was the moment for me personally. That was the moment I thought we might be in trouble here. There was something about that second half implosion that suggested there might be deeper problems. -
Not actually very good, Rico Lewis is he? Ederson is absolutely done at the top level and has been for at least a year.
-
I doubt will ever get an offer that good for him again. Should have accepted that bid from Sunderland.
-
Looks quite quick, and he's clearly strong as an ox. He's also very rough round the edges, but I'd give him a run in the side. It's not like the Vesty / Faes partnership has been solid for us, is it? I'm a bit done with Faes anyway, to be honest.

I've been surprised at how poor he's been this season. Maybe I shouldn't have been. He's so lightweight, easily bullied off the ball. He doesn't seem to have the physicality to play the position Ruud put him last night. As soon as United started pressing him, the game was lost.
