Lad whose been out on a multitude of loans and we're the only one of those teams interested in buying him, for what will most likely be over the odds. Sounds plausible tbf. Bet we buy him to play full back as well, which would be even more hilarious...

I was mulling this over earlier and came to the same conclusion. He's the first name on the teamsheet for me at the moment. That does not make me happy but it is the reality we are occupying. I also agree that we need to be giving Nelson a run alongside him, if we want to do any long-term planning. That's CB sorted, now onto CM and CF.... Nope, I have no answers for these two conundrums as frankly all of the current options are too hideous to contemplate.

Watched them today. Very well drilled, press well, organised and very physical. Look like a decent side. No way our powder puff players get anything out of this.

Premier League 2025/26 Thread

He's a lovely, grounded fella. Nearly jacked the game in a few years back so I feel he really appreciates the opportunities he's been given and grasped. One of the good guys. -
Choudhury (Wrexham interest, Football League World)

A. They're only a rival if we're targeting a bottom half finish. B. Hamza strengthening any Champs team would surprise me. Other opinions are available however. -
Really average and overpriced I'd imagine, and in a position we don't really need anyone for. Also if we have a budget for players at all it feels like we won't have much. Therefore guaranteed we sign him.
-
I didn't see that one but in my minds eye I can still see the one at Oakwell on its way to the moon.
-
I think it was Gary Mills. Put one out of the ground in a penalty shootout at Barnsley. Class. Think that might have been the game where Joachim scored just about the best goal I've ever seen live. What a player he was as a youngster.
-
Totally agree with this. Even if it's Div 1, he needs to be playing week in week out and he's not going to be doing that here.
-
He did OK for Cardiff. Nothing more. Just feels like his bad injury has ****ed his career and he'll never be what we hoped he would be, however much we will it to be so. Just because it's an absolute disgrace that players so lacking in ability as Hamza and Kasey get minutes, doesn't necessarily mean that Alves should. It's a shame.

If we sold Fatawu even the KP FC / Happy Clappers might get slightly vexed. Might.....
-
Looks like we're using this window as a dry run for that then...
-
Indeed. Pure confirmation bias. Best player on the pitch 2nd half.
-
I'd let it roll watching this so far.
-
I think that this is fair. Feels like collective wishful thinking that he's going to be special, as he genuinely looked like he would be, before his bad injury. Still time for the lad though.

Who are your Championship dark horses for this season?
Brizzle Fox replied to cityfanlee23's topic in Leicester City Forum
The challenge for Bristol City will very much be how they adopt to a totally different style of football under Struber (good start yesterday), after Manning's possession obsessed approach. I reckon they'll end up an entertaining mid table. They'll pump a few teams but will also get pumped by a few teams. Inconsistent but exciting to watch, which will be a novelty for the Bristol City fans! -
I think he's genuinely highly intelligent unlikely Trump, and being a bit of an enigma probably suits him. Probably best to read Hillbilly Elegy to get more of a genuine sense of the man, but that in itself fires off mixed messages! His intelligence and rampant ambition probably makes him more dangerous than Trump, but let's see.

Sheff Wed -10th Aug 16:30 - First up?
Brizzle Fox replied to Spudulike's topic in Leicester City Forum
What an away end that night though. Absolute scenes as the kids might say when the Davison (I think) header hit the back of the net. As for today 3 1 City. -
The thing you have to remember about Lammy and Vance is that they are genuinely mates. A proper bromance. No wonder really as they're the same, 'shape shifters' as I've seen them called. Zero principles and if they had any they'd soon find different ones if it suits. I know it's not unusual in politics, but they are only interested in power. Simple as that.
-
Liam who? Although Sheff U to probably win 5=4.
-
Don't know if anyone has mentioned it already but he is sooooo slow. No thanks.
-
Would have been so cool if they'd had no sponsor on the shirt by design, rather than their inability to organise a piss up in a brewery. What a bunch of amateurs.

Idles hometown gig tonight. Should be energetic.

Conor Coady sold to Wrexham - official
Brizzle Fox replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Absolutely incredible that we've managed to get rid of some deadwood with a year left on his contract. And for a fee. Must be a first for us. God I love Wrexham. -
And the real positive for us is that I imagine he will be working with young players, with a much higher ceiling than most he has worked with in the past. Well Sinclair Armstrong at least who I am yet to be convinced is actually a footballer...
