James Maddison completes move to Spurs
Red Squirrel replied to AllGoneTitsSchlupp's topic in Leicester City Forum
Don't get all the negativity around Maddison. Clearly loves football, has contributed significantly for us over his time here and sold for double what we paid. Working in London if I saw him in the street I would say thank you Madders I wish you nothing but the best. Doubt we will see anyone better over a free kick within 25 yards unless Ward Prowse is his replacement Plus he always acknowledged the support of the fans -
I'm gonna do something radical and not write off any signing before I see them play. If you think signings are unexciting before they play then I've got two words for you Robert Huth And BTW I wish Maddison every best wish in his career. If we sold every player for double we paid then we would have more cash to burn than Man City

His song is already pre-determined.... altogether now Super Supanat Super Supanat Super Supanat Super Mueanta (has to be moo-e-anta to work before some clever dick fluent in Thai corrects me)

Absolutely That was truly HEROIC BY NACHO And he was encouraging the fans limping off What a man!

Doesn't matter what age you are. Born a Fox die a Fox... simple as I've been going down the City since 1884. Today I have to do a round trip of 320 miles every match.

I think that irrespective of staying up or being relegated that Brendon will go at the end of the season. It's clear his time is up here. There will be plenty of takers if we stay up and he can leave with his reputation enhanced (blame it all on lack of recruitment) Put yourself in his shoes, what makes sense? Staying on for the pay-off? or joining Spurs....

Patrick Vierra sacked by Palace - that seems harsh to me. Its not as it they've been badly beaten by anyone. On a sperate note - does anyone know the contact details for Jon Holmes Media? The website does not give details.

I'm doing the worm if he scores! -

He's an elite player, besides his god given talent, he's added consistency over an extended period. He's 26 and in the prime of his career if we were in his situation most of us would be wanting to test ourselves at the highest level. He's probably already financially secure for life (so long as he doesn't buy any more embarrassing Armani gear) Whilst Leicester are in the top 20 clubs in Europe in financial terms and we've won a fair amount of silverware we are not Real Madrid or Barcelona which is the size of club befitting his talent.

As requested.... You will find 3 here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3OOQmMvYFnk You will have to copy this and then paste it into your browser Then watch this one https://www.facebook.com/lcfc/videos/superb-danny-ward-save-against-brentford/253189326195054/ The point is we need our keepers to be the best that they can be for the rest of the season, which means building their confidence not destroying it. The situation can only be addressed in 6 months time. Fortunately the home crowd collectively seem to follow this logic. -

Did I beat you to it! Mind you I'm open to accusations of being a wuss as it has a splash of lime cordial in it. In the View Hotel on the front in Eastbourne but as a ST holder I'll be there next week -

Agree with this. He was outstanding in the 5 games running up to the world cup If you want to keep undermining his confidence then carry on scapegoating him I agree we need a top class keeper to challenge top, 6 but its like managing a business or a group of people, you support and encourage to get the best out of them (ultimately you have to replace/upgrade but that often takes time) -

It would be a nice touch by the club to have some of those honesty flags reflecting the multi national nature of our team/owners and the wider Leicester population Nigeria Brazil Belgium Denmark Thailand Senegal/Wales/Zambia -

From what I've seen he could easily double up at RW when Tete gets injured in week 1
-
I'm worried about the rest of him!!!
-
The last signing from Stoke did OK didn't he

Transfer deadline day has never been the same since Sky decided that waving a dildo whilst jostling a reporter live did not make for good TV - I beg to differ!
-
He goes with my best wishes, he's been a model professional, never whined or moaned publicly as he's been regularly played out of position.
-
Maybe he's not got a watch yet and saving up for his first car

The new Will Alves. I was still trying to dribble round cones at his age, the cones invariably won! -
Great to see Madders back training with a smile on his face, having a laugh with teammates and staff. He's developed into a model professional, and its so nice to see someone who loves his football and shows it. He's a top bloke and therefore I'll forgive him that see through plastic Armani backpack!

You're twisting my melon man is one of my favourite idioms (if that's the right term) I regularly use it with my 5 year old grandson and his 3 yr old sister in the hope they use it with their mates or teachers!!

This is so true. I was listening in the car and when the penalty was awarded and Youri was stepping up to take it. I thought I hope this time he doesn't put it to the keepers right, his left. All his penalties go the same way! When it was saved I just knew it was the same side. Youri has to score in an area half the size of a normal goal i.e. 12 foot wide by 8 foot high. I'd want my penalty taker to bang them in left right and centre. This is the profile of the most successful penalty taker from https://instatsport.com/football/article/penalty_research Since 2009 almost 100,000 penalty shots have been taken on football pitches around the globe. 75.49% of those resulted in goals, 17.57% were saved by goalkeepers, 4.07% went wide and 2.87% hit posts or crossbars. The scoring ratio could be better if players and coaches were aware of the receipt of the most efficient penalty shot. InStat analyzed all penalties in the database, answering the key questions through the research: · Who should take penalties? · Where should you direct penalty shots? · What does the best penalty shot look like?
