Not Fuchs given -
Shame he couldn't do so with his batting or bowling!
-
Front or back legs?
-
Tbh he'd probably still be an improvement right now!
-
He can usually be found in the concourse handing out bread and fish. This way he won't miss a kick!

Shirley not?

Exactly this. We've all laughed occasionally at Daka's gaffs on the pitch, and can see the lack of confidence affecting him. Yet he still chases and presses and doesn't give up. But the reality is he is living of scraps. Or more accurately, scrap! We simply don't createany chances. He's not missed any chances this year as we simply haven't created many for him. And even back when we were flying under Rodgers Vardy's conversion rate to chances was exceptional, and something you thought we couldn't maintain. And has been shown as he aged and has now left.

Haha, we said this when we scored. The bloke next to me missed the goal as he had a trip to the toilet. I said to him on his return he wouldn't get the t-shirt ๐ -
Can he play fullback? He has the perfect name for it!

All the more reason for other clubs officials to stand up and communicate. Perhaps the Director of Football could share our footballing philosophy and aspirations? Obviously Rudkin is not the communicative type, which makes one wonder whether the Technical Director, when appointed, will be able to step up and fulfil these functions essential in a successful modern club? -
Rinse and return If only!

I'd say James is stronger, but Muzzy had a better touch.

In that case we may even have made a profit!

Norwich 1-2 LCFC, post-match thread

Soumare has already been demoted. I think the only reason Skipp has been selected was to move James to 10 in the absence of Ramsey. But it's not James' best position and we lose his real quality as an 8 moving vertically up the field (and into the box). Ayew is a conundrum. Perhaps selected as a goalscorer due to our poverty at 9, but he offers so little on the wing. We also looked better yesterday after the subs as we had 2 proper wide players who are prepared today take the fullbacks on, and given early passes in behind also have the pace to cause a threat. Given a more balanced formation like that we might even see more from Daka or Carranza in the striker role. -
I think he tries, though he does look quite tragic as he just has so little to offer. If it wasn't for his outrageous footballer's salary I would feel a little sorry for him! I wouldn't start him myself, but I mentioned him more to emphasise his attitude compared to those who really dont give a shit, and will definitely be off as soon as anyone makes an offer. Maybe I'm grasping for a narrative that explains Cifuente's actions and gives us hope of things getting better!

I think Marti eventually got it right with his substitutions. Bringing on a winger on the left, a proper 10 who can move the ball quickly, create and also add goals. Allowing James to play deeper adding his vertical movement forward into the box. Straight the way our wingers were getting the ball quicker, receiving the ball in space behind the fullback , and James' run into the box got on the end of one of those crosses. It's a shame about Nelson and Okoli picking up injuries but I don't think they'll be out long. Marti has slowly begun to drop the players who want away. It's meant Skipp starting. Whilst he doesn't offer a great deal, at least he tries. Removing those who don't was more important. Hopefully Marti will learn from yesterday and now put round pegs into round holes. James is not a 10 and he's needed alongside Winks to provide more physicality and legs. Reid or Ramsey as the 10 options. Reid didn't impress on the wing last season, too old and no real pace. But his attitude seems good and he's better suited as a 10 playing in the championship. And no Ayew on the wing where he just slows any attack. We said it last season and it applies now. Stick him on as a sub to lock a game down. He just doesn't offer enough attacking intent. As to why Marti has struggled, it's difficult to know without inside knowledge. How much player influence is there? Or from above? I initially felt he handled the window well dropping players who wanted out, but reintegrating them when it closed if they were the better option in the first 11. Subsequently, removing those with a lack of fight has felt more important, whether he's done this out of instinct or just clamour from fans? The way we finished the game yesterday has shown a way forward. We'll soon see if there is any progress or whether it was a false dawn.

I remember watching that in the summer, probably because you shared it. And funnily enough was thinking about it at the weekend watching Brentford tear apart Liverpool! -
It's perhaps an odd song choice for a football ground, and the Jersey Budd version really can be painful to the ears and manages to rip any life out of the melody. Having said that it's at a slower speed that people can join in with and has been a relative success preatch. The lyrics I think are perfect reflecting the ups and downs of supporting your team, through the good times, and the bad! And like others have said, it's ours! A song unique to us really is something to be proud of. It's a good thing!

Sounds a bit kinky!

I don't go to a lot of away matches but have been to Burnley a couple of times in recent years, and now that you mention it I do recall it bring VERY congested trying to get from the toilets back to the seats via the concourse. I'd guess it's where an older style stand just doesn't really have adequate space in the concourses. I've often moaned about the poor design of the dog-leg entrance/exit to the toilets at the KP, real pinch points with people entering and exiting through narrow spaces. But it never feels unsafe. There's no comparison with some of these older grounds in terms of adequate concourse space.
