It's perhaps an odd song choice for a football ground, and the Jersey Budd version really can be painful to the ears and manages to rip any life out of the melody. Having said that it's at a slower speed that people can join in with and has been a relative success preatch. The lyrics I think are perfect reflecting the ups and downs of supporting your team, through the good times, and the bad! And like others have said, it's ours! A song unique to us really is something to be proud of. It's a good thing!

I don't go to a lot of away matches but have been to Burnley a couple of times in recent years, and now that you mention it I do recall it bring VERY congested trying to get from the toilets back to the seats via the concourse. I'd guess it's where an older style stand just doesn't really have adequate space in the concourses. I've often moaned about the poor design of the dog-leg entrance/exit to the toilets at the KP, real pinch points with people entering and exiting through narrow spaces. But it never feels unsafe. There's no comparison with some of these older grounds in terms of adequate concourse space.

Agreed, you could see it. I hadn't heard that before, it is interesting. You wonder if Enzo's prescribed tactical approach where every player/position's role is made very clear really helped him get the best of his natural abilities by making the decisions for him? It feels like Marti needs to give him a hug and try and work on his confidence. He was clearly struggling. Agreed. Watching the game it was clear he was struggling bang out of form yet you could see he was still putting in the effort. He wasn't hiding. Good point. Despite Ayew's strengths (he did put it on a plate for stephy), watching yesterday he was so frustrating not leading the line or stretching the defence. When he comes deeper for the ball he hasn't the vision to play it quickly or forward to find space. Everything is very laboured, often killing momentum.

I was really impressed with his pre-season, seeming to have the back of being in the right place and scoring. He also looks to have a decent physique and will fill out in the next couple of years which will give him the strength he needs on the ball.

Planning was granted years ago. I'm not sure you can lay blame at the council for lack of activity.

I think you're probably right on their relative qualities, but you have to factor in McAteer is English (well, he used to be!) and has played in the Premier League. And we'd be mad to wade in and pay the first price we're quoted. The club have had plenty of criticism in the past for transfers and wages, and rightly so. Let's just see how it pans out. Might Ivanovic become unsettled?
