I agree with all of that and don’t like middle lane hoggers but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s an offence to go above 70mph and you have no reason to be overtaking 70mph cruisers. Most of the near misses I have seen on the roads are from speeding and tailgating and they would be my priority for police rather than middle lane hoggers.

What are you most looking forward to in the Championship?

Hopefully avoiding relegation to league 1 -
Soumare is so lazy. Hate watching us at the minute.

Whilst I agree that middle lane jiggers should do one, what reason would you have to be overtaking someone driving at 70mph? Wouldn’t that make you the problem?
-
Maybe but rightfully we expect more of our more expensive, talented players. If he actually demonstrated a desire on the pitch it would be a different matter.

Worst decision: hanging on to Rodgers and getting rid of Kasper Worst performance: Southampton or Fulham. Worst player: Ndidi, Tielemans, Ward Person most likely to score a Hatrick and perform at a world class level against West Ham when relegation is confirmed: James Maddison. Person most likely to be the lowest rated player against Newcastle and Liverpool: James Maddison Person with the most US presidential sounding name: James Maddison Person who I’m not remotely bothered about leaving us despite some good moments: James Maddison

Was anyone holding any hope before the forest goal went in? We’re down if Chelsea win 9-1 I’m afraid

The problem is now we are in the relegation zone we need at least 2 points to get out. I think Everton will pick up 2-3 points from their games and Forest will pick up 1-3 points. So really we need between 4-6 points. I think we will lose all 3 games and the only hope we have is to get a point at Liverpool or Newcastle and then win at a “on the beach” West Ham. I think we have a 10% chance tops.

We are going to be mid table championship garbage for 10 years aren’t we?
-
This was over way before the whistle blew today - diabolical from everyone in the club all year. We deserve to go down and today has sealed it.
-
I’d lean towards no. think we’ll get a draw at Fulham and West Ham and Liverpool and Newcastle will beat us. Don’t think 2 pts will be enough. Win against Fulham and favourable other results and I’ll change my mind.

A long term option is to find a mid to large size organisation that has clearly defined career pathways and sticking it out. All of the qualifications, skills, promotions and salary increases for me have been in house. I started at the bottom and worked my way up. a shorter term approach is to really work on your cv and skill gaps (not necessarily qualifications) as there are a tonne of jobs in the 25k-35k range where you don’t need specific qualifications but just need to sell yourself as someone capable. Does your current employer give regular appraisals and personal development plans? - are there things within your current role that your line manager could help you achieve? outside of that you could consider the more conventional route of looking at an industry you’d be interested in and studying / gaining the necessary qualifications but obviously practically this isn’t always a viable option and I’m sure you have already considered it.

It’s not necessarily how it works. Sure people that couldn’t vote last time have become old enough to vote now. But political views and age are definitely correlated at least to some extent.

Our Most Expensive Flops of the Golden Premiership era
Benguin replied to Harpenden Fox's topic in Leicester City Forum
Kramaric was the most disappointing from an expectation be reality perspective. Slimani or Silva though based on transfer fee vs performances. Vardy, Kante and Mahrez obviously the top 3 for the reverse question. -
Nigel Pearson without a shadow of a doubt. He got us out of worse in 2014. Deserves it.

Is it just me who reads this as: ”There is no ultimate standard” “Ultimately you’re right, there is no ultimate standard” 🤷♂️

Interesting that you think meaning comes from within yet are so active in the realm of debating others on issues (particularly environmental issues)
-
The reason for this is so obvious to me but will get me banned and annoy everyone so I’ll keep quiet. I think people with these views should really challenge themselves from both an epistemological stand point and a soteriological stand point by asking themselves “why do I think that?” “What does it mean?” “Does it matter?” And “So what?”

Well according to her she contacted authorities and tried to reach out to the McCanns and had no success so posted on social media. It then went viral and the papers picked it up.
-
To be fair, it wasn’t. That’s just where it is now.

Whilst highly unlikely to be her… but if Maddie was still alive and didn’t know who she really was and then later in life started to suspect things, how would she go about discovering the truth?

I think you’re misunderstanding me. I know how it works in America. I’m saying that we’re not in America (where tips are expected because they don’t pay staff properly) and so I’m not agreeing to a service charge in a restaurant. I’ll leave a tip, in cash, to a waiter who is good though.
