  1. Just off the back of a weeks cruise and docked at dubrovnik today where we are staying for a week. Tad expensive in the hotel and nearby bars. €6-8 a pint and small fries are €5. Going to the old town Dubrovnik tomorrow anyone been?

  5. Nor going and not putting on resale.same for two others I go with
  6. That would be amazing, we are getting my brother a taxy ride in a lancaster bomber for his 60th at the Lincolnshire aviation centre. Would blow his mind to actually fly in one!
  7. Got some serious thinking to do re the season ticket. I still watch a lot of the championship and it wouldn't bother me going down as I like the league its raw. Supporting City will always be a rollercoaster ride regardless and would rather we stay up as losing circa 100m TV money would no doubt financially impact us. However my work means I would now be unable to make games in the week and some sundays. Just had a look at Burnleys Saturday games and out of a possible 23 home games only 11 were on Saturday.
  8. Wonder how many would renew if Rodgers was still to be the manager next season?
  9. We looked so disjointed, not enough movement when we have the ball which is why we keep getting caught with the ball. On that display we wont stay up, ca t see us getting anything from liverpool or Newcastle.
  10. I'm in, City - PSV scarf is my choice of weapon tonight
  11. My wife did the C25k with Desford striders who were brilliant as she had never run before, their support and encouragement got her through it and they graduated with the Braunstone park Run. They are now running a 5-10k group which I have joined her in and most of the C25k have stepped up to do. Not ran for a few years now but did 5k yesterday in 31.40 and I have set myself a 3 week target to get below 30
  12. Chap on the door at the Robbie peel today, had kept 4 chaps waiting 10 minutes when we turned up claiming the pub was full and had a shit eating grin while telling us so. Looking through the window the was plenty of space. We advised the others to drink elsewhere, shame cos I like the pub.
  13. I am just hoping we keep the scoreline respectable and we see a difference in both style of play and the players attitude.
  14. Was going to be this til yesterday
  15. I'm struggling to make midweek and later sunday games but match tickets in J1 are nearly double what the divisible cost of the season ticket is.
  16. Anyone heard who's taking temp charge?.
  17. Puel expected at seagrave tomorrow to take training
  18. Same here, my problem is if we go down and that muppet is in charge then I will reluctantly have to give up my season ticket. Renewal will be coming up soon so what to do?
  19. Appreciate the info thanks Deb
  20. Ha ha sadly not, saw Jasmin tho. Really enjoyed the day and was very informative. We plan to visit some areas 2 or 3 times this year to get a feel for a location and possibly not look to retire there but just spend the winters and keep a place here. Interesting that they said the energy price increase we are experiencing here has not hit spain, is that what you have found? Would you also agree it is around 25-30% cheaper to eat out and food shop, Thanks
  21. Thanks Deb appreciate that and may take you up it, we have looked into it but only so far as it is a bit of a grey area. Hopefully we will get some answers tomorrow as one of the seminars is on Visa applications.
  22. TV programme 'A place in the Sun' have an exhibition in manchester this weekend, we are going to look into the ins and outs of safely buying a place in spain possibly this year or next in readiness for retirement in around 8 yrs time. Looks like they have some good seminars on to cover this, and you get to see Laura Hamilton!
  23. Brendan, we cannot play out from the back all of the time you arrogant donut!
  24. I do feel very lucky and we are blessed. Here's my story, Think it was around end of March 2015 when season tickets came on sale for 15/16 season, There was no waiting list then. Previously I had one for 12 years up to 2010. We were sitting second from bottom at the time and I said to my friend lets get some as we are going down to the championship with a great squad, great manager, we will get more games for your £ and we should win that league. Bookies, pundits and most city fans all thought we were doomed to go down too. BTW I do actually like and still watch the championship. Then as we all know the great escape happened and I thought I was in for a dismal season of another relegation battle and to top it all Pearson sacked and Ranieri in was not good for me. So I thought. Well, after the first game a 4-2 against Sunderland we bought on in the second half what I described was an headless chicken running all over the place and was a bad buy. Yeah I got Kante wrong! Games after that were fantastic to watch I could not believe we were playing such a style of football that teams could not cope with, especially with Kante working so hard giving other players more time and freedom on the ball and the rest of our misfits having the season of their lives! Moving forward I was so proud to be top at Christmas and was beginning to believe we could make the champions league! After February when I started to believe we might actually win it was when I started to find it less enjoyable. What I mean by that is when you desperately want something so bad it was all I could think about day and night and Spurs winning or even drawing after us took away any joy I had from our win. I also thought it would be in true city style to have the title win cruelly snatched away from us towards the end. Probably by a Jon Moss dodgy penalty just to kick me in the nuts! Anyway I am 58 years old and never expected to see us win the Prem or an FA cup in my lifetime so yes we are lucky, lucky to have fantastic owners and we should never forget that. Cheers
