  1. The rot was in place long before RVN came. Saying that, he's done literally nothing to stop it, and persisting with the same failing players and system suggests he either has no clue or has lost interest and wants to get sacked. What a shambles.
  2. It doesn't even feel like I'm watching the club I support any more. I'm surprised by my own apathy. I've seen plenty of relegations but this one feels different. I dislike almost every player, which is a feeling I've never had before. Maybe I've been spoiled by success but I don't think that's it. I still love plenty of our past crap teams and crap players. This just doesn't feel like the club I love exists any more. i know that feeling will be back one day, and I'll never stop supporting the club however long it takes I happen. Could be a long road ahead.
  3. Pretty sure this will be the club's lowest points tally in history. This is the worst it's ever been, relative to the division.
  4. Glad it got sorted. Jim was amazing helping me get things organised after my dad had a stroke and needed a wheelchair to get to games. People like him are worth their weight in gold to the club.
  5. 4-2-3-1 isn't going to keep us up. Probably nothing will but may as well role the dice and try something new. I reckon it's worth trialling 5 at the back to see if it brings out the best in Coady and 3 in the middle to see what Skipp can offer. 5-3-1-1 Mads Woyo Coady Veste Okoli Justin/Thomas Skipp Ndidi Soumare BEK Daka
  6. Yeah, Wolves are the only team who we can catch and they're much better than us. I accepted relegation after the Palace and Fulham home games. It's not worth stressing about but I'd like to show some fight and pride. TBF performances have improved the last two games, but it's still nowhere near good enough. I've got us down for 5 points from the remaining games - giving us a grand total of 22 points. ****ing hell. Brentford (h) - draw West Ham (a) - loss Chelsea (a) - loss Man U (h) - loss Man C (a) - loss Newcastle (h) - loss Brighton (a) - loss Liverpool (h) - loss Wolves (a) - loss Southampton (h) - win Forest (a) - loss Ipswich (h) - draw Bournemouth (a) - loss
  7. Agreed. But Viktor Kristiansen and Luke Thomas are so shit I just want another option
  8. Looking at Transfermarkt very little appeals. Ex-Man U, Norwich and Ipswich full back Brandon Williams has been without a club since the summer. Probably because he's rubbish but he can play LB or RB, still only 24. Seems like he could be worth looking at for a short term deal.
  9. Never understand the hate for this. It's just young people who had just seen an ex-colleague they got on with having a laugh. No offence but football fans can be so precious
  10. Nicky Maynard and Dean Windass were always linked with us.
  11. Don't put yourself through the stress - we're not signing anyone.
  12. I think Skipp could be OK in a 3. Lacks the physicality to be in a 2. Tbh I'm struggling to muster any enthusiasm whatever way you manipulate this squad of players into an XI
  13. Mads Justin Ndidi Coady Okoli Woyo Skipp Soumare Winks Bilal Vardy
  14. TBF I think there's a decent argument. New faces: Skipp, El Khannouss, Okoli, Golding, Decordova, Ayew, Buonanotte, Edouard Out the door: Dewsbury-Hall, Praet, Iheanacho, Souttar, Akgun, Cannon
  15. Horrible story but his cousin was a football coach in Leicester who was murdered 10 years ago. Used to play for Leicester Nirvana. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-leicestershire-27055838
  16. There are legitimate questions about his fitness, but he's clearly a good defender
  17. I'd take the money. Seems a nice lad but can't see him ever holding down a first team place here. Thanks for your service and best of luck for what is hopefully a long and prosperous career! He would leave with some amazing memories - most of all the FA Cup win (and a great assist ).
  18. He's a good player but he just doesn't play in a position I think we need to be prioritising. Then again, I thought we were mad signing Wes Morgan when we already had Matt Mills and Sean St Ledger, so what do I know
  19. I'd change to 5-3-1-1 formation. Make us horrible to play against. Mavididi would be the big loser, but 4-2-3-1 is getting us relegated. I think Coady could be good in a back 3, and Skipp would do better in a middle 3 than 2. Buona and BEK would essentially do a job share as the No10. Probably fantasy world but if we could get some money for Daka, Faes or Soumare maybe invest it in a new centre back and striker. Vardy still playing a role off the bench for the last 20. First team Mads Woyo Coady New CB Okoli Kristiansen Skipp Ndidi Winks Buonanotte New CF Subs / second XI Jakub Pereira Faes Veste Justin Thomas Soumare Hamza Golding(?) El Khannouss Vardy
  20. Mahrez - such a threat it changes how the opposition set up.
  21. Best of luck to him, he's looked pretty sharp and seems to be a good finisher. Not convinced he looks like a Premier League player, but I'd have said the same about Harry Kane and Chris Wood during their time here
  22. Nothing personal to him, he's just one of the most valuable assets in a team that doesn't work. If we're going to change things up (which I think we need to), we'll presumably need to generate some cash.
  23. Not asking people to fake enthusiasm, just not constant complaining. I appreciate it's hard to be enthusiastic when you're losing a lot, but the supporter misery is relentless. It was also there last season when we were winning a league. Here are 5 things to think about to mitigate some fans' relentless misery: 1. We literally won a league last season 2. Squad full of internationals 3. Extremely exciting young players like BEK, Fatawu, Hermansen 4. Acted swiftly when Cooper wasn't working out 5. Massive off-pitch commitments, eg training facilities, stadium expansion, debt cancellation I know you could argue negative spins to each of these (we shouldn't have been in the Champ anyway, why did we appoint Cooper in the first place etc), but such people are just drain on my enjoyment of what is supposed to be an interest / escapism from the day-to-day grind. And it could be a lot worse - ask the fans whose clubs have been dissolved or drifted down multiple divisions.
  24. It's not just the stadium atmosphere that's rank, the majority of posters on here seem to be miserable too. You post anything relatively positive and all you get is laughing emojis. Gone are the days of supporters 'supporting'. Now our 'fans' seem to hate Leicester and just spend their time moaning. IMO constant negativity is the easiest attitude, and one of the very worst character traits.
