Think it was more out of frustration because instead of Vardy he was looking into an empty penalty area because Ayew was too deep or Daka has no awareness so took the wrong option of going it alone.

Marti Cifuentes appointed new manager
Claudio Fannieri replied to Tuna's topic in Leicester City Forum
He can only do that with the support of his DoF, Owner and fanbase, do you think Rudders and Top will back him to alienate the likes of Vesty, Soumare, Winks et al to the bomb squad, personally i think not. As fans are we brave to accept a season of ups and downs whilst we trust the academy players, personally I am but accepting that we probably won’t piss the league or even make the play offs I would happily trade to see players like Nelson, Monga, Page, Aluko, Evans and Alves starting every week. -
Wout, Bilal, Kristansen, Bouba
Claudio Fannieri replied to chesterfox's topic in Leicester City Forum
Bilal is a cracking player but only if he is fully motivated and committed. Just like 6 or 7 others if they are at the top of their game they should be a cheat code at this level but if they play within themselves like today then I am afraid i would rather we sell, otherwise we will see a lot more of these types of performance and result. Marti was 100% right to hook him at half time, and whilst we lost we were decidedly more effective in the 2nd half. -
Unreal talent and looks like he cares was devastated when PNE scored the second whilst most of our lot looked like they barely cared.

Marti Cifuentes appointed new manager
Claudio Fannieri replied to Tuna's topic in Leicester City Forum
Anyone having a pop at the manager who has just come in and not had a full pre season has half his squad looking at the exit door whilst the club try to play poker to max the fees we secure. We have signed a reserve keeper and nobody else, if he threw in the academy players in these first 3 and we lost people would be ripping him a new one saying why is he starting players who are not ready for 1st team football instead of established pros. This is on the players, that starting XI was strong enough to easily push Preston aside but in truth these players threw in the towel and surrendered. So it’s now for the owner and the fans to back Marti and support him and the team if he makes the changes needed, recognise that HMS piss the league ain’t going to happen but we may have to take a step back to take 2 or 3 forward. therefore my team vs Charlton would be - Stolrcryk Riccy P Okoli Nelson Aluko Hamza Page Fatawu Mavididi Monga McAteer subs Begovic Joseph Vestergaard Braybrooke Briggs Alves Wanya Evans Popov -
Sorry disagree he played a few passes but out of possession he was weak as piss and barely broke sweat in transitions. We could sell him and replace him for a fraction of the wages and not see any drop off. He is soft as shite and has a crap mentality.

The first 45 minutes was the worst i can remember in my time as a fan and i am 51 years old, we have been poorer in terms of quality in the past, but feck me that was an insult to the club, badge and fanbase a complete lack of desire, energy and work rate. It was the absolute pits, i am going to be honest being at the match today turned me into a complete knobhead, the frustration and anger has made me realise it’s time to take a step back from watching us as I honestly can’t stomach watching these wasters disrespect our club. I don’t blame Marti in the slightest you can see what he is trying to do but he is being let down by a bunch of overpaid players who have checked out. If Top and Rudkin have a shred of credibility left they will work so hard to get rid of 5/6 of these useless tossers and accept play offs would be an achievement bring in 2 or 3 good pro’s in to support the youngsters and let’s have a team to be proud of because today i was embarrassed to be a Leicester fan, Preston are a team tipped to be in the relegation mix this season and I would give my right bollock to see our lot be as committed and work as hard as they did. Monga, Okoli and Faes are the only ones who come out with any credit today the rest were either miles off it or couldn’t be arsed.

Walked straight down the tunnel didn’t acknowledge the fans

I am I live here 😂

I will die on this hill get him out the club and i hope I never see him in a LCFC shirt again, stank the place out today and his reaction at the end speaks volumes. Would rather see Louis Page in his role, actually giving a shit and wanting to play for the badge and i bet he isn’t even on a tenth of what Winks earns.
-
This is 100% on the players disgraceful performance complete lack of effort and work rate. No desire. Spineless bunch of willy pullers. Not sure there has ever been a more hateful group of senior pros and I have watched some right shit in my life time .

Bilal El Khannouss (Stuttgart loan, official)
Claudio Fannieri replied to lcfc_forever's topic in Transfer Talk
Absolutely agree however we are at risk that a club low balls an over and BEK starts agitating for a move and becomes unsettled and we are left with an unhappy player or forced to accept a lower offer than we had wanted to prevent being lumbered with another want away unhappy player at the club. -
I think this is a little bit like the Maddison deal to Spurs & Winks coming to us and is PSR jiggery and pokerey, we will pay you your valuation you require for player X and yes you can buy player Y from us for this valuation. Hasnt Kerkez joined for a very significant fee from Bournemouth which has given them PSR wriggle to then over pay for Doak but at £5m per year but gives Liverpool a whacking profit. It’s all back scratching to help each other manage PSR compliance and still enable clubs to trade.

I would argue his reaction or non-reaction to our equaliser on Sunday and to scoring on Wednesday were the actions of a primadonna or at best a bloody smacked arse.
-
I really like Kasey, good energy, knack for scoring goals and seems a very level headed lad and good professional, he is certainly no Fatawu, Mavididi or BEK and I think because of that he is somewhat underrated and under appreciated. He will have bad games and when he does he is very ineffective and I think as a consequence comes in for more criticism than some others. personally I would play him as the 8 or striker as Ric has also alluded to, he would bring a lot of energy and a goal scoring threat to our midfield plus he does work hard defensively, I thought in the game at Stoke away in the last championship season he looked good as an 8, scored but was then taken off at half time and was never used in that role again. Would much rather see his energy and application in our midfield then watch another minute of Soumare trundling around without a care in the world or Winks sulking like a petulant child.

Key to today is how we deal and cope with PNE’s front two, both are physical and will make it a battle, important we don’t allow them to bully us. They have ability but if we can get on top of them we should win as I think they will struggle to contain our attacking threat.
-
The issue I have with Winks isn’t to do with his alleged falling out with Ruud regards staying over one night a week, as we don’t know all the facts surrounding it, however 2nd half of the championship season when our form dipped, I felt he really dropped off and I didn’t see him taking games by the scruff of the neck, he almost came across as a flat track bully. Then last season he seemed to throw in the towel under Cooper pretty much straight away and his performances for the majority of the season were well below the levels expected for a player earning big money and regarded as one of the senior leadership team. I find his demeanour this season odd to say the least, for a player to not celebrate and give the impression he has the arse with the fanbase when he spent most of last season missing in action or not included is a bit of a piss take, if he had given 100% in every game and been decent then I could understand it especially if he felt his treatment from the fans was unjust, but too be honest like most of the squad from last season, they got off lightly when it could and should have been a lot more toxic. For me demonstrates a entitled and weak mentality happy for the adulation when everything is going well but doesn’t like to take responsibility or accountability when it’s going wrong, sums up the culture of the club at the moment.

As is Soumare, still sell the useless lazy lump though 😂
-
I don’t think either want to be here, trouble is not sure anyone is interested in paying the level of fee we want whilst covering their hefty wages. So may as well grin and bear it here whilst banking a fortune by throwing in half arsed performances or telling anyone that will listen how they want out.
-
Anyone know where they are staying tonight as I might let some fireworks off just in the hope it wakes that dozy arse Soumare up so he doesn’t play like he is still asleep 😴

Choudhury (Wrexham interest, Football League World)
Claudio Fannieri replied to Sly's topic in Transfer Talk
Watched his interview from Wednesday night and he looked like he spent half the time smirking or trying to hide the smirk after losing a penalty shoot out to a team from a lower division, the senior players in this squad are really at some level, countless numbers wanting out, throwing in half arsed performances or creating battles with the fanbase, can’t wait for these feckers to leave, certain group don’t give a flying fcuk about our club and that is unforgivable for me and no way back, honestly I hate this group of senior players, the worst collective group to ever ‘represent’ our club. -
Reality is he is another who has been here a long time without really kicking on, again wouldn’t be first on my list to get rid of but at least we are now seemingly progressing with moving a few on and hopefully creating some funds and headroom to start bringing in some fresh blood. Really need Faes, Soumare, Winks, Vesty, Daka and VK gone as well, can’t afford to carry any players who clearly don’t want to be here.

James Justin (signed for Leeds, official. 10m.)
Claudio Fannieri replied to SouthStandUpperTier's topic in Transfer Talk
Absolutely agree although he has always given his all and remained professional throughout his time, it’s absolutely right to cash in but feel like we are losing one of the better ones. Would much rather see Winks, Faes, Soumare, Daka, Vesty and VK go before JJ but needs must I guess. -
Lack of leadership on the pitch
Claudio Fannieri replied to Collymore's topic in Leicester City Forum
The problem is the culture at the club from top to bottom, rumours of it being run like a Sunday league team, players best mates with the owner so happy to undermine the manager whenever necessary, any leader who dares to question the players or raise standards, gets hung out to dry. we could sign 5 captains but in truth it would be window dressing until Top and Rudkin facilitate systemic change in culture and professionalism. 50% of the squad don’t want to be here and the majority of the remaining players of any quality are all academy prospects with barely any experience, let alone being given added pressure of captaining this utter shit show. We have to get rid of the bad apples and the players who want out or gone stale, only then can we rebuild and change the culture, mentality and mindset of the club. -
Could we get actually get relegated again this season?
Claudio Fannieri replied to Bevan's topic in Leicester City Forum
Anything is possible, but I don’t think we will get relegated, as I think Cifuentes will do a decent job, however I do think there will be significant bumps along the way and if a number of the wantaway players don’t move in this window it will be a difficult environment but get the feeling the majority will then be shifted in January. The concern for me is how little is changing at the top of the club, Top desperately needs to revamp the football operations both commercially and at DoF level to help us become competitive again and I just cannot see it happening. This summer has again shown just how poorly ran we are.
