He's still only 21, one of the youngest players in the squad, and in a position that requires a lot of discipline. I think he's doing well, and will hopefully kick on with Ruud and improve even more.

Wrong mentality from the start, just sitting back and waiting for things to happen rather than trying to play our game (whatever that is). Being pragmatic is fine, but this is not being pragmatic, it's just waiting for the opposition to have a lull and then just randomly attacking for about 5 minutes. We had 3 centre midfielders to their 2 and yet we were always outnumbered. Scoreline flattered us, which has been the case in quite a few games this season. Time for a change. Should be coming on in game like this for the last 20 to slow things down and win free kicks. For me he doesn't provide enough of an attacking threat to warrant a starting place. I think the only reason he's good at winning fouls is because he can't be bothered to run with the ball.

I've been giving him the benefit of the doubt up until now. New manager, new signings, needing time to gel, but today really wasn't good enough. How can Ayew play 90 minutes and offer practically nothing, he doesn't even put in a shift. To only make 3 like for like changes when chasing a game home is pretty unforgivable. They were there for the taking in the second half, but at no point did we ever go for it. If we're not trying to win games at home against relegation rivals, then we're never going to stay up. With arsenal up next, it's going to be 3 points from 6 games. It should have been 5 from 5 today.

If you look at the actual minutes he played, which was 17.3 full 90 minutes, it's more like 1 in 2.5. I think he'll definitely have a positive impact on the team performances!

I think this is a decent signing, although it sounds like it might be on the expensive side if the 20m is correct, although I suspect that includes add-ons like staying up, which is unlikely! A central midfield of ndidi, winks and skipp sounds solid, but not very attacking. It'll be interesting to see if he ever plays those three together.

It might end up being a car crash, but I quite like the idea of Mourinho. He's not English, but has managed in the country a long time, knows the football culture in this country, the English press, and he is a winner. But he's pretty much the complete opposite of Southgate and it's not the direction the FA will go in. It's going to be Potter or Howe.

He would have been better off taking Grealish as he might have started him once or twice to rest Bellingham or Foden and actually play a left winger.
