I've noticed this as well, and I don't think it's by accident. The hierarchy have slowly been removing anyone who might speak out for the good of the club in both the squad and management team
-
One of the most frustrating things with the KP faithful is that their argument is that it's Rudkin fault and not Top/King power. But what they seem to be unable to comprehend is that Rudkin is in the job because of Top/King Power. From the end of 2020 to the end of 2025 our league position has dropped 27 places. More than any other team in the top two leagues. And we've lost again since then.

Shite manager and needs to go, but due to the people above him, there isn't going to be an immediate reaction. Plus they will make another poor appointment and we'll have Faes, Vestergaard and soumare in the team again, then rinse and repeat. It's quite impressive how they've managed to ruin the club in such a short amount of time!
-
Nothing is going to happen until they appoint someone to the new technical director role. And when it eventually does, whoever they appoint will be dealing with the same bunch of players brought together under Rudkin, so the results will stay the same.

In the interim, Leicester City Chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha will assume the role of acting Chief Executive Officer, ensuring continuity in leadership. Oh god

I thought the same when they announced they were considering extending the playoffs. Some of the more high profile owners have suddenly realised it's not going to be that easy to get into the prem, so want to give themselves more of a chance. I agree with you that it isn't going to be long until English football is ruled by America owners. I think over half of prem and championship teams now have some form of American investment.

The hat-trick mentioned in the audio above. Shows he gets into the box and can finish first time. Worth watching for the first Saprissa goal! -
5 Winks, soumare and faes are still here. No permanent incomings, bar begovic. Pleased by the James signing, but I feel a lookman situation coming next summer and not taking the option. It could have been a lot worse, but I don't think Rudkin has done anything special
-
It's the usual "look! We're trying to sign someone" to be followed by "we couldn't agree a deal in time". It almost seems deliberate!
-
Did ok tonight. Never going to be a £20m player, but that's on Rudkin. Soumare and skipp aren't going to unlock any defences. So need to add one central midfielder before the deadline

Casting our net far and wide again!

They just want a closed shop like most American sports. It then doesn't matter who wins or loses, as there's no jeopardy. They just want a handful of big clubs with all the best players and to sell it to people who support superstar players like Messi or Ronaldo rather than teams. Look at Inter Miami, they don't win anything, but are now a global brand selling kits in English shops, all because of 1 player. I coach kids' football, and one English kid supports Portugal because of Ronaldo! It still seems alien to us because domestic football is huge here, but outside of the big footballing countries, there are billions of people who want to buy a kit with their favourite player on their back, no matter who they play for, rather than their local team's kit. It's all fuelled by greed

Could we get actually get relegated again this season?
StonyFox replied to Bevan's topic in Leicester City Forum
A month ago I didn't think so, but based on more players leaving, the ones remaining not giving a shit, and we're not bringing anyone in to boost the squad, it's becoming a possibility. People thought we we're too good to go down 3 seasons ago, and the attitude I'm seeing from our players is far worse than it was then and the players now aren't even that good -
Incomings feel very much like 22/23, absolutely nothing all summer, then a panic buy, which was Wout Faes! Followed by 3 more panic buys in January, resulting in relegation. If you stand still in football, other teams go past you. We're actively moving backwards! There are 12 days left in the transfer window, and if we do decide to bring anyone in, it's going to be rushed, with no planning. Watching those clueless morons oversee the demise of our club, putting us back years, is just so frustrating and depressing!

Just watched the highlights, and **** me, the body language is horrendous. They really really don't give a shit do they

The leadership comes from the top (pun intended). There's zero leadership from the owner, board, CEO, DoF and this filters through to the playing squad. Marti has a real job on his hands to make players care when the decision makers at the club don't. It's not a surprise, as we've slowly been removing leaders/characters from the squad since Rodgers' days. I thought it was Rodgers, but maybe it was coming from higher up. No leaders means no one to question you. If you think of the players we've had over recent years like Kasper, Morgan, Huth, Vardy, even Evans for a while, and compare them to the players we have now with Justin and Hamza being captain, it's another area of the club where we've fallen off a cliff. Who in the current squad is going to tell Faes to shut the **** up when he starts giving it to the fans!?

James Justin (signed for Leeds, official. 10m.)
StonyFox replied to SouthStandUpperTier's topic in Transfer Talk
Definitely players ahead of him in the list of players to get rid of, but it's more money off the wage bill and a transfer fee coming in. He's always been professional, but has never really found his form since the injuries. Good luck to him. -
Pound for pound our worst ever signing. He's been given so many opportunities and is either lazy or doesn't have a clue. He shouldn't be anywhere near the team!

Bilal El Khannouss (Stuttgart loan, official)
StonyFox replied to lcfc_forever's topic in Transfer Talk
It was always likely that he would go, and I'd rather see him progress and join a top-half team rather than a Leeds/Sunderland, and end up relegated again. Plus, he'll be getting champions leage football in a world cup year. With his attitude on the pitch, I think he'd thrive at Newcastle. -
Just listened to a podcast that referred to our late win over a team in turmoil as embarrassing, when you look at some of the stats we were pretty dominant over the 90 minutes, plus the Wednesday team wasn't that bad after all the noise. Most touches in the final third, most shots and highest xG for - xG against in the league. Considering Martis has been with us less than a month and this was his first competitive match, I'm feeling pretty positive. He realised the tactics and player's weren't working, made a change and we looked far better after he did.
-
Whenever he had the ball, he couldn't get rid of it quickly enough!
-
About 20/1 to be top scorer 👀
-
We need the money, he wants to leave, we've signed another keeper, and 8 goalkeeper deals have gone through in the prem already. You can't make clubs bid, but you can also still be proactive in trying to sell players, which we are useless at.
-
Just had a look and 8 prem teams have already signed keepers this summer, with Trafford the most at £31m. Petkovic went from Chelsea to bournemouth for £25m, and Kelleher from liverpool to brentford for £18m so I'd like to think we're still pushing for close to £25m for mads. It's also typical of us to be passive and end up with just one club wanting him instead of getting the business done early, despite it being pretty obvious he would be leaving.
-
He did score 18 last season, but that was over half of his career league goals (31 in total). But saying that, I'm not against this if he can bring 10 goals from midfield this season. If we stick to a 3 year deal, then he'll be turning 32 in the final year of his contract, which isn't that bad compared to some of our deals recently!
