  1. It won't be debated because it was 4-0, but was there even a foul to give a penalty? Or did 2 chelsea players go down so the ref felt it was just worth blowing for one!? (maybe palmer was caught on the heel!)
  2. Drop Faes, Daka and Justin. Stop inverting Ricardo and over crowding the middle.
  3. 10 points from 10 games is relegation form. That's a quarter of the matches we've played. Not scoring for the last three away games with the players we have is unforgivable
  4. I'm so angry after the last two games. How can he see that it's just not working! You bring on a striker who doesn't touch the ball for 17 minutes, and yet you just continue with the same tactics hoping something might happen
  5. They should reimburse the fans for travelling down for this shite!
  6. We're just standing around like statues waiting for something to happen. This is horrendous!
  7. If he makes no changes at half time, I'm done
  8. Totally agree with this. We have 4 strikers, but none fit the profile for the system, especially when teams park the bus. Instead of cannon, we should have brought in an Ulloa type of player. Someone who can hold the ball up, and also provide a threat if we do cross the ball. There's often comments on this forum against having this type of striker, but its what a lot of the top clubs have. Haaland, Nunez, Kane, Hojland, Isak. You need different tools to deal with different opponents but we have 4 strikers, none of which offer an areal threat. So the only option is to try and pass through a congested midfield and defence.
  9. He's still very new to management. In comparison McKenna has managed twice as many matches, and Farke has about 5 times as many. But he does seem very stubborn in his ideas, and when it doesn't work it looks really bad. But we are right at the end of the season, top of the league with a game in hand so we have been more effective than any other team in the league. If we don't go up, then he has to go, if we do go up I'd give him the chance to carry on. One thing about his stubbornness is that he doesn't have the players for the system, but still persists with it. The centre-backs are too slow, he admitted that (why buy coady!?), I don't think KDH is technical enough as an 8 although he has got great numbers in this league. Ndidi certainly isn't technical enough, and I wonder what would have happened if we signed Sensi. And we really should have signed a different profile of striker or a winger instead of Cannon. The issue will be the finances this summer, will he be able to bring in players that are more suited to the system and operate at a premier league level? We'll have to wait and see. It's very much squeaky bum time, and we just need the 3-4 wins to get us over the line.
  10. I'd definitely go with nacho or cannon for this. Vardy and Daka have been pretty ineffective the past three games, despite two wins.
  11. He must long for an overlapping left back now and again. I know I do!
  12. Leeds dropping points means they can only get 99 points. 4 wins out of 5 would guarantee it for us. Based on tonight we'll struggle to get 1 win!
  13. Ridiculously bad tonight. Created nothing in the first half, yet just continued to play the same way in the second half waiting for them to score.
  14. The urgency has been coached out of them
  15. 4 wins and 2 draws (dropping 4 points) needed to guarantee promotion. That's if Leeds win all 5 of their games, bringing their maximum total to 101.
  16. Apologies if I have this incorrect or it's already been posted, but based on the current rules and debts posted so far and looking at the 3 years of rolling accounts, are we looking at being in breach of the rules for the next three years, even in the scenario where we go up and stay up? (and the rules don't change)... For 2022/23 accounts our total losses for the 3 years was 215m with an allowed loss of 105m (3 years in prem), so in breach of the rules For 2023/24 accounts our total losses for the 3 years will be 183m, IF we break even this season which is highly unlikely, with an allowed loss of 87.5 (2 prem 1 efl), so in breach of the rules. For 2024/25 accounts our total losses for the 3 years will be 90m, IF we break even this season and next (highly unlikely), with an allowed loss of 87.5 (2 prem 1 efl), so in breach of the rules. So at best, we may not be in breach until we post our 2025/26 accounts at some point in 2027 and that is based on staying in the prem and not making any more losses? So we can even accept the point deductions for the next few seasons and deal with it strategically making it more difficult to achieve on-field success or attract players, or we have a fire sale this summer and end up with a depleted squad and still probably have 2 seasons of point deductions? Even if we didn't get relegated, surely we'd have still been in the sh*t for 2-3 seasons!?
  17. Most fans will be completely oblivious to the situation. Maybe, just maybe, when the points deduction hits the penny may drop for some. But as long as they can turn up, get the free coconut, watch some form of football, they'll not be bothered.
  18. I thought the same, but the accounts cover the last season in the prem, so surely any wage reductions would be in the next set of accounts!? I'm basing this on zero accounting knowledge
  19. Fingers crossed! I remember Kieran Maguire talking about Everton on his podcast last week and it sounded like they had 3 points for breaching and then 2 points for every 5m over (or something like that). If it's a maximum of 10 points that would be much better than what I was fearing.
  20. How does this compare to Everton and forest for context? Are we looking at a 30 point deduction if we go up??
  21. Absolutely dominated Norwich and deserved the win. Having Ndidi and Ricardo back makes a big difference. Nice to see us on the front foot trying to make things happen. First home win in about 6 weeks. On to Birmingham!
  22. I'm at the game. How many chances has he created compared to the space he's been in?
  23. Put Ricardo at full back, and we'd be running riot down the right flank. Fatawu isolated again
  24. I'd love us to turn up tomorrow and not play the inverted full back, and instead use the fullbacks to overlap the wingers. When you have wingers that like to come inside, it leaves the space they have vacated out wide, perfect for an overlapping fullback. With our tactics they come inside but we also attempt to play under lapping 8s, so the middle of the pitch gets congested and we run out of ideas. I don't think the wingers style of play suits the overall tactical plan, as maresca wants the wingers to stretch the play. We've either got to have Ricardo and JJ overlapping when Fatawu or macvidid cut inside, or maybe try swapping the wingers occasionally and ask them to go on the outside of the fullback to actually stretch the opposition and create space for the 8s. We've become so easy to defend against as our wingers are isolated and the middle is just too congested to play through when they come inside. Also, he needs to bring Coady in!
  25. His last chance for me. If Enzo sticks with the same team and tactics and we don't win and put in another lackluster performance, his time here is done.
