West Ham to come in with a late bid?
  2. I wasn’t convinced with the performances with Enzo ever mate. So slow and dull and lots of lucky low scoring wins, and then we completely sh@ ourselves for a bit and the squad decided to go against the manager and start counter attacking and we scraped it.
  3. I think at this point in the season, that is what it’s about. our squad is up in the air. We are in financial ruin. I expect our incomings to be very late in the window when we know how much we’ve banked and how much we can spend. Things will/should start to take shape around October when the squad is settled. Until then it’s a case of grinding out results and making sure we are in and around the mix. Whilst performances have been awful, we have 2 wins out of 3, which isn’t actually that bad considering what we feared.
  4. He’s an expendable member of the squad. We can get some money for him and cope without him, get him gone. Woyo has had loads of stick on here, but i was genuinely impressed by the brief appearance we saw, he was our biggest threat going forward that game and I couldn’t believe it when he was brought off. The lad at least deserves a chance, which he hasn’t been given yet.
  5. On his day, when he wants to be, a quality player. But a grade A tw@. Get rid, free up the wages, we can then look at bringing someone else in. To those here saying we shouldn’t sell because of his quality, we will be able to bring someone else in, don’t panic!
  6. She won’t stay for long though, after a few seconds sheskone
  7. If we were to move vesty and faes on, I wouldn’t be against this. hes a decent player and 8m isn’t bad for a young English player. Yes he has his flaws, but so will every player we have a chance of signing. can’t see it happening, but I’d much rather him start than faze and vesty.
  8. This is the one. Welcome to Leicester.
  9. He won’t cost a lot, last year of contract and we need him off the books.
  10. Yeah, Charlton 3rd league game. 3 winnable games before the first test in Birmingham.
  11. And that’s the deduction more or less covered with 3 games played.
  12. No Bobby, Ricardo or Justin in the squad. any of them injured? Or could something going on transfer wise?
  13. First one out the door, on to the next one rudders! genuinely over the moon with this. it says a lot about where we are right now be getting more excited and eager for outgoings than incomings!
  14. Yeah, just give them a call mate and they’ll be able to sort it.
  15. This is an absolute shambles from the club. I have 3 season tickets - one for a pensioner and one for a child. 2 of my tickets fall in the bracket of eligible for physical tickets, and neither of the holders have mobile phones. Yet there was no communication from the club about the change to electronic tickets to me personally, I was completely unaware until I saw this on here at the weekend. When I contacted the club , initially they told me the deadline had passed to order physical cards. Eventually I did manage to order physical cards over the phone. I’m posting this for anyone who may be in a similar position, call the ticket office and they will likely be able to sort it out. Though I would suggest doing this sooner rather than later.
  16. Could have been a lot worse lads.
  17. An Algerian striker? What could possibly go wrong…
  18. Wouldn’t make much difference to us mate. Those fees banded about for some of the biggest clubs in the world are because of marketing value. Our marketing value is badically zero. There would be no value in a sportswear company paying us big money because it wouldn’t pay them to do so.
  19. Come on Bilal, you can hack one season in the championship!
  20. He was carrying an injury the whole time, he should have never come back. He should have had the surgery when he needed it, rather than being put back in and holding off the surgery until the end of the season. Jakub was in better form during his stint filling in, than Mads was after. It was all kept quiet, but later revealed that Mads was not 100% the whole time. Not only was he not physically fit to compete, imagine the mental impact of that given what we were up against. Really hard to judge him based on incredibly poor man management, but I would be happy to see him leave for 30m because Jakub is solid, especially at championship level.
  21. I agree with this, but I think if we adopted a strategy where we used the talented young lads, cleared the decks and then used what money we had to buy a few of the best quality players we could buy in key areas of need, that would be the way to go. Having a squad full of average journeymen on big money is so wasteful, especially for a club in our situation. I would be quite happy for us to get rid of as many as we can from Coady, Faes, Vestegaard, Justin, Kristianssen, winks, skipp, Soumare, Ndidi, ayew, bdcr and daka, and blow our whole budget on a few players - a striker and two midfielders ideally.
  22. We have way too many players in the squad. Of course we have to sell before we can buy, and that’s not even taking finances into account, purely from a logistical point of view. You want to see the young lads come through? We even need to sell before there’s space for them to come through, before any new faces are recruited.
  23. I echo this mate.
  24. I’d tell half the squad they’re never playing for the club again.
  25. We could have done a lot worse. Ill definitely back him. nobody’s first choice, but definitely nobody’s last either. Out of the names released, most were terrible. Rohl, Cifuentes and Svensson were the better ones. im just glad we haven’t ended up with wilder or oneill personally. now he just needs to get this rebuild going asap and ship out as many as he can!
